Bai Dinh was fantastic. However they did not take us to the Pagoda saying it would take too long. The river boat experience was good but too long. I would have been okay if it had only been 45 minutes. I did not like the quality of the buffet lunch that was served. Hygiene was an issue. There were plenty of eateries and I would have been happier if they had instead let us get our own food. Overall I think several improvements can be made to the itinerary.

Great day trip

Enjoyable and educational visit to Ninh Binh where we learnt about Vietnamese history at the ancient capital of Hoa Lu. Had a lovely time cruising down the river through limestone caves and a challenging climb to what was a phenomenal view of the area. U need to put aside some money for tips but it was a day we'll spent.

A good value day out - definitely worth the trip. I would have liked longer at mua cave the steps to the top are hard work unless you are fit so time for a drink at the cafes after would be appreciated. The river trip is lovely and the option of a short bike ride to the temple was appreciated too. Tour guide made a good effort to ensure everyone had a good time. I paid around £30 via Viator for the trip and think it was great value
