Definitely worth your time! Very fun, and the guide was very informative. You see a lot of the city landmarks and learn a lot about Halifax history. We only had a few hours in the city as a cruise port, and it felt like a good use of it.

This was a fast-paced, super-interesting walk through highlights of old Halifax, covering many historical buildings and events. Our guide was informative and answered questions with details of the area. Most enjoyable!

The description clearly states that we needed to be physically fitted enough to walk for this 2 1/2 hour guided tour. My husband and had taken two guided tours by foot earlier on our trip, and they were great. This tour, however, was a "race to get done." Our guide, Chris, took a 2 1/2 hour tour and made it 2 hours, uphill from the get go. There were stops for a minute or two. We asked him to slow down, and he did, a little.
I don't understand why we went straight up. When we were coming back we through other streets which would of lessened the straight up.
Also, it was hard to take pictures because Chris was off again. The tour started at 9:45 and we were done by 11:50. We walked all over Europe earlier this year, we can walk, but this was not a walk. This was a waste of money.

Victor was superb. Retired high school teacher and font of local knowledge - just what you want on any tour. We really enjoyed it. Oh and good route to the top of Halifax without even noticing we were going uphill.

It is disappointing if historical information is not revealed. Our guide spoke more about bars and restaurants than Canadian Nova Scotia history.

We both really enjoyed this tour. Our guide was a retired junior high school teacher. He was very knowledgeable and engaging. We loved the stories he told about Halifax’s history. So glad we booked this!

Chris was knowledgeable and funny. He did a good job discussing the building we passed and the areas moved through. Aside from discussing George's Island, not much local history was revealed. He provided lunch options.

The tour included most of the sights we had planned on seeing, but with the local touch that added a better understanding of what we’re seeing, rather than just reading a guide book. Well done!! And thanks for the warning about the moon gun.

Victor was a great tour guide. Very informative with interesting stories from history. He led us on a lovely walk through historic Hallifax down to the boardwalk and the happening vibe of today's Hallifax. I definitely recommend this tour for first time visitors.

Our guide Duncan was very knowledgeable and made the walk fun. We lucked out as the weather was beautiful so it made the tour that much more enjoyable. Most definitely this tour is not for people who may have mobility issues as noted on their site. My wife and I highly recommend it.

Extensive and enjoyable tour. Be prepared for a lot of walking, as would be expected for a tour that lasted more than 2 hours (ours lasted 2 hours and 15 minutes). I would have preferred a few less ghost stories and a few more facts. Surprisingly, our guide said that L.M. Montgomery, the author of Anne of Green Gables, was not successful during her lifetime when in fact her Anne of Green Gables books were extremely successful while she was alive. (I got my information from Wikipedia but she wouldn't have written so many sequels if there wasn't a market for them.)

Chris was an awesome guide! Unfortunately for him, 2 people cancelled at the last minute, so we had a "private" tour. Because we love to walk, he covered a ton of the city with us. He was very knowledgeable and fun! Highly recommend his tour.

Victor was so knowledgeable and friendly! My brother and I are big history nerds and this tour was absolutely essential for insights into Halifax and Canada. Victor was very informative, really knew his history. We learned so much, it was very interesting. Be prepared for a lot of hills! It was a warm day so by the end we were pretty tired. Well worth it!

Our guide was absolutely fantastic. The pace was good, the history a good blend of politics/economics/popular culture. The tour include 18 people and he was easy to hear, and engaged everyone.
