Our guide Seif is amazing. He is personable, kind, thoughtful, knowledgeable and a lot of fun! He knows so much about Gozo and the history of the island. The tuk-tuk is a fun way to travel around the island. Seif took us to some amazing locations: Cliffs, citadel, churches, salt pans, and Xlendi Bay on a very windy day. Highly recommend this tour!

Gozo in a day

Sue_E, Jul 2026
Be prepared for a long hot day. This was a long tiring day not helped by the fact that we booked a tuk tuk for 4 people. Only to find we were sharing with a father and son. Which meant we were cramped in the tuk tuk on and of for 7 hours +. Don't get me wrong they were very pleasant. But it was cramped despite is calling Viator the dsy before to confirm our booking numbers and to link our bookings with friends

Stress free day out in Gozo

wingyee82, Jul 2026
Our tuk tuk tour in Gozo turned out to be a wonderfully organized and stress‑free way to explore the island. Pick‑up was prompt, and the process was smooth from the very beginning — we boarded a minivan that took us to the port, then hopped on the ferry to Gozo. Once we arrived, everyone split into their respective tours, and from there the day unfolded effortlessly. The tuk tuk experience itself was great. Getting around on your own in Gozo isn’t the easiest, so joining this tour really lets you see far more of the island than you would independently. We visited monuments, impressive churches and basilicas, the iconic salt pans, beautiful swimming spots, and countless scenic viewpoints. It felt like a full, well‑paced itinerary without ever feeling rushed. The only downside was that our tuk tuk didn’t have a seat belt for the middle passenger, which my friend found a bit unsafe. That said, our driver was careful, calm, and drove slowly throughout, which helped us feel more at ease. Lunch was just average — and based on other reviews, this seems to be a consistent comment — but it didn’t detract too much from the overall experience. All in all, I’d still recommend this tour. It’s an easy, enjoyable, and efficient way to explore Gozo without the stress of navigating or planning everything yourself.

Lisa is a star!

Anita_M, Jun 2026
We had a really fantastic day with our tuk tuk driver Lisa - she was extraordinary driver. The jump into Blue lagoon was the momentum 👌 Only thing that was really poor was the lunch. Tasteless penne with tomatosauce, 5 year old kid could make that kind of food. Did not taste at all.

Gozo visit in Tuk Tuk

Maria_I, Jun 2026
Excellent excursion, the visit was just amazing with the Tuk Tuk. really enjoyed our day ! The only downfall was the meal. It was nothing traditionally considered Maltese cuisine unfortunately. ( a plate of pasta with very little plain tomato sauce)

Brilliant day out

Valerie_W, Jun 2026
Our guide Emilio was lovely. He had good knowledge of the areas we visited. He was friendly, considerate and polite. The tuktuk seats are quite small so could be tight for larger people. You need to be relatively fit to get in and out of them but a great way to get around.

Very disappointed

Bridget_R, Jun 2026
It is hard to give a review on a trip that never happened! Firstly we expected a pick up at 8am or a text to say otherwise. Neither happened. I tried to ring the numbers given but there was no answers. Finally a mini bus turned up at around 8.30 but we were told we were not booked on that. The driver told us we were on the next bus coming from Valletta, as was written on our itinerary. 10 mins or so after he had departed with his group, he returned to say there was no 'next bus' and after a few conversations on his phone we we're allowed to join his group. Our itinerary said that if the weather was bad we would be going on a ferry across to Gozo. The weather was not good, it was windy and the sea extremely choppy. No ferry was offered but instead we were expected to get on a small private boat. The boat was not securely tethered to the jetty, held only by one man and a rope. There was no gangplank or safety rope and people of all ages were expected to jump over the gap on a continually buffeting boat with it periodically smashing into the side of the jetty and then pushing itself away leaving a deadly gap between the boat and the jetty. This was incredibly dangerous. The only help given to the passengers to board was by other passengers. Handing children over the perilous gap, which was constantly changing in width. One lady fell and hit her head when the boat suddenly crashed into the jetty. My party decided this was totally unsafe and chose not to risk the very real possibility of falling between the boat and the jetty. We told the attendant watching of our decision. We looked for a Yippee rep or a viator rep but there were none to be found. So were left stranded and were forced to make our way back to our hotel in a cab. During our trip back a Yippee representative called me to ask which boat I was on. I told her of the situation and she said we should take the ferry instead but it was too late, we were already on our way back and totally fed up. Viator have never let us down before but this was a huge disappointment and proved to be a very costly morning with nothing to show for it.

The experience is...

Leonid_G, Jun 2026
The experience is very well organized. Thanks to Emilio for a fun, informative, and memorable excursion! Everything ran smoothly, and his enthusiasm made the trip even more enjoyable.

Hectic but great

Adrian_K, Jun 2026
1+hour minibus ride from Valletta to the port due to traffic. Great way to see Gozo with fun guides. Due to traffic you may not see all the "promised" sites (we missed Fontana Cottage and Ggantija) and in order to cover the island you have limited time at each stop. For me, we could have skipped the market which would have freed up more time (and saved me money 😃). Boat crew also friendly but again, due to traffic, we only had 30 mins at Blue Lagoon. If you want to swim, be prepared as there's only one small bathroom to change in. Very chaotic finding your minibus upon returning to Malta but still a quick process. Highly recommend.

Gozo in one day

Kathi_D, Jun 2026
Full day ru. I g from one site to another but the only way to get it all in all in in a single day. The boat driver was a hoot he danced r very time we were on the water

Would do it again.

Ripped off

george_k, May 2026
We had an agreed-upon pick up location at my hotel, which is what was on the screen of my app. After waiting 15 minutes past pick up time I called the operator and she said she would be there soon and not to worry they would not leave us. I called again in 15 minutes and she said they had sent a whats ap changing the pick up spot . Never received it. No was it ever changed on my confirmation page of the app. I spoke with them and they were completely unreasonable. I would not refund my money. Total rip off. I do not recommend this tour. Very unprofessional.

Response from Host, May 2026

Dear George, We were expecting your review after the multiple attempts you made to obtain a full refund. To clarify, as we explained both to you directly and to your booking platform, we sent you a clear and detailed message with the pickup instructions prior to the tour. In addition, our booking platform clearly notes that all guests should expect to receive a message containing the pickup instructions. Unfortunately, you were not present at the designated pickup location, and we waited for you for more than 19 minutes. Afterward, we instructed you to use the fast ferry in order to still join the tour. However, you refused to join the tour and immediately requested a full refund instead of joining the tour. We have provided all communication records to your booking platform, and after reviewing the case and analysing the evidence, they also declined your refund request. Have a pleasant holiday in Malta!

Great tour, just prepare for chaos getting to and from.

Carlton_W, May 2026
Our actual guide, Detlef, was excellent. He was a great driver, very knowledgeable, so welcoming and helpful. The people at the boats, on either end, however, are very disorganized resulting in chaos and delays that could be completely avoided. We enjoyed the tuk tuk tour very much, but we wished the beginning and end were equally enjoyable.

Tuk Tuk tour

Joanne_K, May 2026
This was a great way to see all of Gozo. The TUK TUK drivers speak several languages and you are matched with fellow tourists who speak the same language. We had English and French speakers on our tour. Lunch was not too good (pasta). Seeing the Blue Lagoon was fun!

Tuk-Tuk, Gozo trip very good.

Lorraine_R, May 2026
Be prepared for a bit of chaos at departure port, but it gets sorted out. As organised as can be....

Wonderful tour don't miss it.

Fran_H, May 2026
It is a great tour and would do it again when it is a little warmer. The tuk tuk driver was the best and he is from Holland but has been living in Gozo for over 50 years. Only issue was the wind and arriving back 1 1/2 hours late as we were first pickup last to return.

Awesome adventures with Hermes

Alaina_W, May 2026
Such a fun way to experience Gozo if you only have a day. Hermes was a fantastic guide. He was very interactive and went with the vibe of our group. He would tell us interesting facts about obscure things on the tour & gave us ample time to explore different areas we stopped. The lunch was the only disappointing part. The appetizer was delicious & had a nice selection of local food & the local house wine was fine, however, the pasta dish was extremely disappointing. A dry, bland tomato sauce on under cooked noodles. The dessert was also disappointing, dry chocolate cake. Overall I would recommend this experience, but I would bring a lunch instead of relying on the one provided.

Fun in Gozo

Judy_E, May 2026
A bit disorganized at the start - waiting for the ferry - but once in Gozo it was a super fun and worth while trip! Sylvan, our guide, was super fun and made the day what it was. Definitely worth a day trip! One suggestion - ante up the lunch - it was not edible.

Great communication - Exciting Itinerary

James_V, Apr 2026
We were really looking forward to this tour. Unfortunately we were unable to attend at the last minute for medical reasons. Communication with the the operator was great from the beginning. Helpful with setting up best pickup point. And, very understanding with regard to our situation. We will definitely book again when we return tio Malta

Absolutely horrendous!!

Gordon_S, Apr 2026
Absolutely horrible!!!!! They forgot we were on the tour after we waited and phoned and then said they were all booked and had no room.

Response from Host, Apr 2026

Dear Gordon,, Thank you for your review - all details pertaining to your pick up point and time were communicated. At the time we advised we could not locate you.. Apologies for missing the tour but there wasn't much we could do if you missed the transport. Regards Yippee team

Complete failure

Catherine_B, Apr 2026
Viatour is not a reliable company as after waiting for an hour at the assigned time and place no one came to get us.

Response from Host, Apr 2026

We apologize for your experience but this not the fault of Yippee. We don't deserve a one star for some else mistake

Full in travelling to and around Gozo.

Valerie_S, Apr 2026
9 full hours from Valletta. Emiliano great guide. Only 4 in tuk tuk couldn’t have coped with 6. Lunch above expectation. Overall grand full day out.

Beautiful scenery but disappointing trip

clare_e, Apr 2026
Ahmed and Joe were fantastic and full of information. The sights we were taken to were amazing. Unfortunately the lunch let the whole trip down. We were told to use the napkin as a side plate for 1st course which consisted of 8small pieces of bread, 4 sun-dried tomatoes, some beans, a small amount of cheese. So barely a mouthful each for 6 people. The main was penne pasta which should have had a tomato sauce on but was dry with no flavour and at this point we left the restaurant and were told there was a dry sponge pudding for dessert. The Tuk Tuk itself had seen better days. It was a cold and rainy day and did not have full coverage down the sides and none on the back. The driver who collected us to take us to the ferry was on video calls the whole trip there and on the return the same happened but he also had his wife and child with him.

A good way to see all the main sights on Gozo

Sarah_W, Apr 2026
I think this was quite a good trip. Due to the high winds we didn't do the blue lagoon etc and I think when this happens, it should be reflected in the amount you pay. Our guide was good, very pleasant guy. He gave us enough information without overloading us. He brought us to so many fantastic locations. Places I definitely wouldnt have seen had I done it alone. I was glad that our tuk tuk only had 3 people due to cancellations so I had the back seat to myself. I don't see how you could comfortably fit 6 adults in them to be honest and glad I didnt have to find out . I would have felt very uncomfortable squished up against strangers. Tuks tuks kept us nice and dry in the journey. If you have a bad back or any chronic pain or get motion sickness, the tuk tuk might not be for you. The roads are terrible and very windy. You would be in a lot of pain. The lunch was not great at all to be honest. A little picky plate for starter of Maltese fare. The main course was plain pasta with a tomato sauce and desert was a sliver of choc cake.

Avoid if no boat element and verify route with driver.

Sarah_O, Apr 2026
The tour guide skipped stops (including the cliffs and the temples). When I asked about the temples (the stop I booked to see) his response was 'oh sh*t'. It was too late to include them. He pointed out I could see the temples online. Food was basic but fine. The weather meant we couldn't sail. There was no real alternative plan. We drove around for a few hours and then headed to the boat. If you're booking this tour, check the weather forecast first. And run through the itinerary with your driver before you take off. My tour guide was a nice guy, I just think this is an industrial level tour company (so many tour buses arriving at once to split into separate groups) that the term 'private' didn't give me the experience I expected. And their drivers clearly aren't briefed properly.

A day out and an adventure.

alireza_b, Mar 2026
Had a great time. The Tuk Tuk broke down a couple of times during the day. However, Andrew made sure that no matter what setbacks we had, we were able to make the most of the day.

Perfect way to explore the island

Elena_O, Mar 2026
Herman was perfect. Indicating all the points from the beginning, he made the day smooth and pleasant while visiting all the sights on the island. Thanks a lot for the marvellous day

A great way to experience Gozo

James_N, Mar 2026
An electric tuktuk is a great way to see Gozo. It's usually done as a group of six, so you will probably share with other people. It's pretty quiet, so the running commentary from the driver is easily heard. Our careful but confident driver, Emilio, was from Sicily, and his vocal outrage at the often poor standard of driving by other road users just added to the fun.
