- Please note that if you take the Aiguille du Midi and Mer de Glace options, you will be provided with a multipass. Multipass which gives access to all the facilities of the Mont Blanc company. If you use this Multipass for a single activity, it will be considered by the Compagnie du Mont-Blanc as used and cannot be refunded if the other activities are closed. The Mont Blanc company offers alternative activities but does not authorize refunds of the multipass.
- The train tickets includes the ice caves and the gondola (but these are not garanteed), the train can be open and not the cave, there is no refund is so because it's the same price
- The operation of the Aiguille du Midi cable car and Mer de Glace train are both subject to local weather conditions on the day. We cannot know if they open before we arrive there, it's a risk to take
- If one of the activity closes, there will be alternative offers, or partial refunds, but the transports won't be refunded in any case
- Please note that the official currency of France is the EURO. Swiss francs are unlikely to be accepted in Chamonix
- Please note: guide will be present with you on the bus and the village. You will have free time in the cable car or train and the guide will meet you after.
- Please note that due to maintenance works in Chamonix, some attractions will be temporarily closed: Mer de Glace (03.11 - 21.11) & Aiguille du Midi (03.11 - 19.12). Alternative tours will be offered during this period.

This was an awesome tour. We've been on serveral guided tours, this is one of the very best. Our tour guide Chris was very good with humor and provided very good historical information along the tour route.
We would highly recommend this tour. The day we traveled up to the top of Mont Blanc, it was a beautiful and clear day. This was a dream come true for us. Stunning all around!

Chris was a wonderful guide! When my Uber driver got stuck in traffic and I was 5 min late, they got me on a different bus and he met me at the drop off in Chamonix. I am so glad I didn’t cancel. This trip was the highlight of my vacation. The weather was awful (very low visibility due to snow and winds and -2 degrees C), the panoramic part was closed, and we couldn’t see a thing going up the cable car. A couple of people experienced altitude sickness. Bring a warm jacket, gloves, and wear comfortable closed toed walking shoes. The experience was beyond words…the ice cave and the charming Chamonix and even the snow all made for a once in a lifetime experience.

When we booked we thought it was quite pricey, but the trip was well worth it. Well organised and the tour guide was excellent and very knowledgeable. We were fortunate as we had perfect weather.

Some of the other reviews alluded to the same issue. The locations and activities were great but there was a lot of wasted time waiting for the group or there wasn’t enough time to do a few things when we did want.
The tour guide, Chris, was very good. Always helpful and knowledgeable.
The pickup/droppff and bus transportation was fine. The bus on the way up had a great panaromanic roof to see the mountains. The bus we had on the way back didn’t have the extra windows and the temperature was very warm. The bus ride took about 90 minutes each way. No WiFi.
The waiting started as soon as we go to the first Midi lift. The company has no front of line access so we waited an hour to even get on the lift. Then once we got to the top we were unable to do the glass floor photo option or go to the actual top of the mountain because the wait was 60 minutes to use the last elevator. The entire point of the tour was to see the top of Aiguile de Midi and we couldn’t because in order to continue to the tour we had a immediate return lift that we again had to wait for. Very disappointed.
We did have a short 1 hour lunch break in town where we enjoyed a nice lunch.
The second part of the day was taking the train to the Mer de glance glacier. That was near. Unfortunately we only spent maybe 15 minutes there as we were again rushed to wait in line for the return train.
Overall I was not impressed with the lack of front of line access you normally get paying a third party tour and poor time management was annoying. More than half our time was spent waiting in ques or waiting on the group. I plan to return but would NOT do this tour again. If you get a bus/train ride there, everything is walking distance and has great shops all through town. The company offers no special access and you could literally do everything we did in half the time and actually see the main attraction without having to wait on the group.

We would like to clarify that our Mont Blanc tour does include reserved cabin access for the Aiguille du Midi lift, which allows our guests to avoid the standard ticket purchase queue. However, Mont Blanc is one of the most visited attractions in the Alps, and during the peak summer period, the site can become extremely busy. Even with reserved access, there can unfortunately still be waiting times due to mandatory security checks, crowd management, elevator capacity, and the high number of visitors on site. The guide gives you the choice to spend less time for lunch and queue at the step in the void. Thank you again for your feedback, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again in the future.
The tour was overall good, and many thanks to the tour guide also, but there was A LOT of standing around and waiting. If I had known this I’d have just done the trip myself without a tour guide. Many thanks nonetheless.

The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. She answered all the questions we had and was enthusiastic about the places we visited. She kept us moving so we could maximize our time and communicated clearly the meat up times. The views on the mountain were breathtaking and the ice cave by the glacier was amazing. Be wary of weather. We encountered rain, sleet, snow and wind for most of the day. The guide was excellent except for his haranguing about global warming (scam) and kept us informed about all that we saw. The bus was comfortable. The cog wheel train was fun and the history of the area was quite interesting.

It was a very long day, but quite worth it. The top of the mountain was worth every part of the experience. I would also check the weather. The railroad was not running so we could not have a chance to experience that and therefore ahead too much discretionary time in Chamonix. If you’re only objective is to go to the mountain, there may be other options available. Our guide Tony, however, was quite engaging knowledgeable and was able to control our crowd in a very scared manner.

This was a 10/10 experience from start to finish! Tony was a phenomenal tour guide who was very knowledgeable, fun, timely, and helpful in answering any and all questions. The tour was structured with a great timeline that was followed down to the minute. We had plenty of space on the tour bus, lots of time to explore Chamonix, Mont-Blanc, and the ice cave. We were always given two options of return times to the group for flexibility of time spent in each area. We did end up hitting 5.5 miles of walking (including 10 minute walk to and from bus meet up) so make sure you have comfortable shoes. Make sure to look online at the temperature for the tip of Mont-Blanc versus Chamonix. We had about a 40-degree F swing between the two. Would 100% recommend! I will remember this experience forever

I did the Full tour which seemed a little expensive but it was well worth it-my hotel was not listed for pick up but I contacted the tour operator and the picked me up and dropped me off which was well appreciated!!!!

Be prepared for a full day. We opted for the mountain train but not the cable car. This gave us around 3.5 hr free time in Chamonix which we were glad we did. Chamonix was much larger than we had thought with lots of restaurants, bars and shops. The mountain train and glacier was fantastic and for us a must do. Altogether a great day trip and very well organised. No issues at all.

Really a great day out! We were blessed with gorgeous weather so we had access to everything. Even though there were many skiers, it didn't make wait times longer due to the timing of our trip. The views were spectacular!! Our guide was OK. Gave facts about the glaciers and mountains, but nothing out of the ordinary; no interesting side facts, but it was still a great tour and I highly recommend it!

Due to heavy snow the two main activities of the trip were cancelled. There resulted in a lot of meeting up and standing around attempting to plan the day. Given the attractions were closed for the day there should have been a clear recommendation to return to Geneva earlier at 2pm.

If you are not taking the train be sure to look at the map because the bus picks you up in a different place than it drops you off.
While expensive - lunch at the fancy restaurant at the top of the mountain is well worth it. The scenery is stunning and the food delicious.
It’s cold! Be sure to bring layers.
While the tour was great, I’m not a fan of Viator. Their customer service is very lacking.
