- The operation of the Aiguille du Midi cable car and Mer de Glace train are both subject to local weather conditions on the day, we cannot know befor we leave if activities will be open
- Please note that if you take the Aiguille du Midi and Mer de Glace options, you will be provided with a multipass. Multipass which gives access to all the facilities of the Mont Blanc company. If you use this Multipass for a single activity, it will be considered by the Compagnie du Mont-Blanc as used and cannot be refunded if the other activities are closed. The Mont Blanc company offers alternative activities but does not authorize refunds of the multipass.
- Due to maintenance works, some attractions will be temporarily closed: Mer de Glace (03.11 - 21.11) & Aiguille du Midi (03.11 - 19.12). Alternatives will be offered.
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 50 travelers

A beautiful place to visit summer or winter. We did self-guided which was completely fine as the town was easy to navigate.
A bit chaotic getting back on the return bus at the bus station as all buses show up at the same time for the full day tours.

Although the weather wasn’t sunny, the cable cars were closed, our guide was very nice and we went up to mer de glace by train. Which was magical nonetheless. It was snowing and very cold. After returning to town Chamonix, the guide did a quick show of the main spots, food tips, and let us do and go wherever wanted. Indeed a very well, easy and enjoyable experience.

We had an amazing time on this trip to Chamonix but be aware this price is just for the transport and the train cost an additional £50 each. We went in December and the cable card was not in operation due to maintenance that happens for a few months of the year as well so be aware it might not be open and if it is will again cost extra.
The mountain train was highly worth it though and the town of Chamonix is also very nice and much cheaper than Geneva.

Average tour nothing great . Due to bad weather many things were closed so just charging 100$ USD for transfer from Geneva to Chamonix and back seemed pricy . Had to pay additional 30$ for the cable car. The chamonix town is small and pretty average . Most of the shops were closed to nothing much to do. Overall very average tour and over priced.

Tour guide was good and helpful. However we were informed by the tour guide that the €83 only covered the transport. We then had to pay another €80 each for the cable car and train. Information provided by viatour was incorrect and misleading.

You paid 79.- round trip to Chamonix, knowing that the cable cost 60 and the train 40.- , how can 79.- CHF includes activities and the transport round from Geneva to Chamonix? Best regards

The Aiguile du Midi was a unique experience. The Mer de Glace was not open. Did not get enough chance to explore Chamonix. I had to be alert because tour guide doesn't wait if one is not in time at the specified spot, which made it a bit stressful.

Chris was a great guide - supporting all guests with multiple requests. The bus was clean and comfy (hot for me) , the journey was smooth and had just the right amount of commentary. We were very lucky with the weather - keep an eye prior to travel and switch if you need to .
Chamonix was stunning as expected, the cable car queue was very quick and we were taken up to the views . Beware of altitude if you haven’t been 😳, it’s worth going to the top and is no extra cost .
Again the train to the glacier takes in stunning views.
Over all the day was well paced and organised, we saw breathtaking views and would highly recommend, Chris made us feel looked after thanks 😊

This is a wonderful tour, the only thing that would have made it better is if we could have gone to the top. Beware the 500 steps down to the glacier you have to climb back up but worth the trek down.

The ride wasn't too long, about 1 1/2 hours. The guide was a bit grouchy but we ignored him. The town was so amazing and quaint. The lift to the top f Mont Blanc was scary. If you are afraid of heights you may want to think twice and the air was very thin! It was cold, icy and raining at the top so we didn't get to see much. The lunch was at the most adorable restaurant and we are still talking about it! Really loved it. The train ride was fun but again, if you are afraid of heights once you get up the hill on the train you may want to stay in the restaurant/store if you don't want to ride another lift down to the ice caves. Over 400 steps to climb up and down in the ice caves. All in all this was a pretty scary but fun adventure.

This was the highlight of our trip to Europe.
The tour guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable. Tickets are provided to you and then you're left to explore at your own leisure, which is very nice.
We had the lunch included, which was at a nice restaurant in town and definitely exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend it!!!

Awesome trip and must see places Mont Blanc Cable car ride and Ice Clave , Ice mountains and Train to Gracia great experince. Mountains looks too attractive. The Guide Neil from Key tours explained very detailed about trip , attractions, timings to return and total time 10 Hours , Morning 8.30 Am started , returned at 6.45 PM .

We booked the package tour for CHF 210 per person. Fellow travelers did not book this package, but booked the bus trip, the cable car and the trip to the Glacier de la Mer separately online for CHF 150 per person. We were together all day, except that lunch was included in our offer. We cannot understand the large price difference. \nThe afternoon program to the Glacier de la Mer did not take place because the cable car was closed. We were informed much too late, only at 2:30 p.m.! As compensation, we only received CHF 20 per person back, despite complaints on our part.

You bought a package for the independant tour, the bus round trip, the cable car, the lunch and the mountain train. This means it's a multipass valid for all the activities. If you buy the cable and the train separately it's more expensive. The cable car is 80.- CHF and the train is 43.- CHF but if you buy them together it's 100.- CHF so if the train is close it's 100-80 = 20.- back.
Because of the low frequentation they decided to close the train, there is nothing we could about it. We hope you still enjoyed the cable car ride as it has the best view on Chamonix. Best regards
