Niels was our guide and showed us a great time! The experience was well planned and executed and Niels shared a lot of interesting information along the weay. The experience of being at Mont Blanc and the glacier made us feel like we were inside of a National Geographic magazine. If you go, dress warm in layers, you will need extra layers for those two parts of the experience.

This excursion has everything. A bus, tram, and a train ride. The glaciers you see are amazing. Walking through one of them was an experience to remember. It helped immensely having a great tour guide. Neils was funny and knowledgeable which kept the tour interesting. It was a great day and I’d recommend this excursion.

It’s hard to imagine a better travel experience. Although Mother Nature and weather were showing off, Niels made the day truly memorable with his energy, knowledge, and passion for his job. The smooth pickup experience segued into an informative and beautiful ride out of town and up to Chamonix. The great timing continued - everything was seamless and allowed us to be fully in awe of our surroundings. It’s hard to pick a favorite part - the views up top, a wonderful lunch recommendation in town, Niels’s history and general lessons, the train and ice cave, I could go on. It’s been 24 hours and we’re still glowing. I have never recommended an experience like I will recommend this one.

Niels is an amazing guide! His full time job is your guide to Chamonix and it shows. Truly a fun person, such interesting things he shares and makes sure to take care of the group. Our family thoroughly enjoyed this day tour to Chamonix and Aiguille du Midi. The tour was well managed by our guide and the planned itinerary was excellent. The rides to Aiguille du Midi peak as well as the Mer de Glace and ice cave were no doubt the highlights. Neils is an excellent guide - very knowledgeable, humorous, engaging and helpful with tips that made our visit all the more enjoyable.

Absolutely top quality incredible experience from start to finish. Neils was so knowledgeable and an amazing guide for the day who made sure the day ran seamlessly ensuring the most magical day. Pick up point was slightly confusing as there was 2 addresses on the same street but once on the coach we left promptly and as Neils was such a great guide we had almost a VIP tour of Chamonix being able to be the very first in lines or very last to experience sunrise and sunset moments on the tour. This trip was just simply magical and that’s the best way to explain the best day. We had plenty of downtime to explore Chamonix and Mont Blanc and were given top recommendations so also got to enjoy some fantastic fondue and French pastries. Would 10000% recommend this tour to anyone looking to book. Deffo upgrade for the best experience and unforgettable views/moments.

Disappointing Tour Due to Poor Planning and Lack of Weather Awareness

Our guide was personable and interesting; however, when you invest in a guided excursion, you expect expertise and informed decision-making — otherwise you could simply do the trip on your own. To me, the mark of a good tour operator is the ability to anticipate conditions and adjust the plan. This tour included a cable car ride to the summit of Aiguille du Midi. The day was very cloudy, yet we were reassured that the views at the top would be worth it. Once we arrived, visibility was zero — only dense clouds. Given today’s readily available weather data, this seemed predictable. Despite the lack of visibility, our time at the summit was not shortened. We waited until the scheduled return time, and by then the gondola had closed due to high winds. Large crowds were leaving at once, which delayed us about 30 minutes. By that time, the glacier gondola — and the second half of the tour to Mer de Glacé — had also closed, so that portion of the experience was canceled. Instead, we spent about 90 minutes in Chamonix — a charming town, but not the experience we paid for — and returned to Geneva early. The total cost was $540 USD, and the refund provided was only $53 USD, which does not seem proportionate to what was missed. With limited vacation days, we would never have chosen to spend nearly $500 and a full day on this outcome. In my opinion, the guide should have pivoted and visited the glacier first, or the tour should have been canceled entirely so guests could choose another activity, or we should have been contacted in advance that there was a strong likelihood of heavy cloud cover at the summit and given the opportunity to opt out before committing our time and money to the day. Overall, this experience was disappointing and did not reflect the level of planning, awareness, or adaptability expected from a professional tour provider.

Hello, thank you for your time in this detailed review. We would like to inform you that like many tours around the world, this one is very weather dependent. Whether is something that is completely out of our power. You will read other reviews of people upsets because we cancelled because of weather. On the day of your excursion, the high winds had died. We had canceled three days prior. All other operators were in the village in the same situation as our guide. While on the summit of the mountain, we were told all to evacuate.As the weather system was changing. You must understand this was not expected and it is completely out of our power. Are guide took you through the town was a knowledgeable city tour.Trying all his best to please, you. Just before arriving at the train station, we learned that it was closed as well.Due to high winds picking up in the glacial valley. We informed you immediately and gave you then extra time in town to enjoy Chamonix. The bus to geneva, left one hour earlier than usual as the activity was no longer available.And as your guide mentioned for the refund procedure. The prices or fixed with the Company du Mont-blanc. They partially refund the ticket that has not been used. In this case, the train. This is the difference between the MBU pass 97€ and the simple cable car pass 81€ wich is 16€ . We refunded more than that amount As the day was one hour shorter Thank you for reading best regards Niels

We had an absolutely fantastic experience with our guide, Niels. From start to finish, he was incredibly knowledgeable about the mountains and shared so many interesting insights along the way. He also went above and beyond by recommending great local places to eat, which really added to the overall experience. What truly stood out was how caring and attentive he was to everyone in the group. Niels has such an animated and engaging way of guiding that it made the tour feel very interactive and genuinely fun. You could tell he really enjoys what he does, and that energy was contagious. Managing a group of around 20 people, all with different interests and expectations, is no easy task but Niels handled it effortlessly. He made us feel safe, well-guided, and included throughout the trip. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would 100% recommend Niels to anyone looking for an informative, enjoyable, and well-organised experience. He truly made our trip so memorable!

My guide for the day was Niels. The journey was smooth and scenic. Since it was a big group travelling, we had to be attentive to Niels when he gave us instructions and informations. I had a great time at Charmonix Mont Blanc. The views were spectacular but not enough time to shop around the village which gives me the opportunity to return in the near future.

Trip booked for Sat 8 Nov, months in advance, cancelled at 7pm evening before. Supposed technical issues and weather sited, despite weather being mild and bright. Lots of other Geneva landmarks closed for maintenance this weekend, so I suspect tour possibly wasn't ever happening this weekend, if that's a yearly event. Why take booking in first place for this weekend? Very disappointed as trip was meant to be the highlight for a special birthday celebration.

Hello, As mentioned in our mail, we sent two weeks.Previously, activities are down for maintenance as it is low season. Nevertheless, we had an alternative cable car, which we informed you. Due to bad weather on thursday, it had a technical issue.And it is also closed for reparation.This is completely out of our power.We apologize it ruined your weekend. On our side, it ruined the tour for 6 days. And we had a huge loss of clients. We hope you understand we prefer refunding you completely and not taking you pointlessly to the village. Totally worth it. Enjoyed everything about the trip. Anyone on the fence should jump across and do it. We didn’t see ice caves as it was closed and also too little time on the top of mountain to stand in the glass vantage point but without them, still worth the money

I really enjoyed this tour even though I didn’t do the complete tour. I was a little concerned about the tour itinerary since I was traveling solo and my fear of heights. Nils was great! When I mentioned to him I didnt want to do the Aguille di midi, he was perfectly fine with it and I spent time on my own while the group went to the Aguille di midi. I did some shopping and had a wonderful morning looking through the town. Nils even called me when he thought I paid for the entire tour to make sure I didnt miss out. It turns out it was a company error. When I mentioned I wanted to ride the train to the mountain mers and not go to the caves, Nils was very accommodating. I had a wonderful time in Chamonix the way I wanted to see the tour. Chamonix was absolutely beautiful! It was one of the highlights of my weekend in Geneva. Nils was fantastic if u get him consider yourself in great hands!

Wow, this is a great experience. The tour guide is amazing, witty, and you can tell the amount of work that is put into the itinerary. I highly recommend it solely for the views from up the mountain! Tips: Get the premium package!! you only have time for a quick lunch (~30 min for a jam packed day) Also beware the amount of walking/stairs. My mom has a bad knee - she was able to make it through the whole experience, but it does require moderate fitness.
