Light on info -- lots of chocolate

Katharine_B, Aug 2026
A nice small group size. LOTS of chocolate shops visited with fun, light-hearted information about the history of chocolate in Geneva. The tour has little real substance/information about Geneva, so if you're hoping for a more cultural/educational experience you will not find it on this tour. It's very light and superficial but fun to meet other tourists and indulge in a huge amount of chocolate (I couldn't eat more samples by the final two shops!).

Delicious Chocolate and Interesting History

Kristin_L, Aug 2026
Dominique was very knowledgable about both chocolate and old town history. He was courteous to all participants, paced the walking tour well and adjusted plans as needed.

Amyzha_S, Aug 2026
Very accommodating to allergies. We had someone in our party with nut allergies and our guide (Loic) called ahead of each shop to make sure that our person was still able to get the full tour experience! It was great and overall fun! Would totally recommend!

A Tasty Experience!

Lucy, Jul 2026
This was a wonderful way to spend part of a day in Geneva. The chocolates just kept getting better and better at each stop, and Camila is such a lovely guide - very knowledgeable and kind. It's definitely an experience worth having if you're ever in Geneva. Thank you!!

Response from Host, Jul 2026

Nice way to spend a morning.

Eleanor_T, Jul 2026
This was a lovely way to spend 3 hours wandering around the city eating chocolates. Lots of information and a nice pace set by our guide Marianne. Wear comfy shoes and a bottle of water.

Great tour!

Scott_L, Jul 2026
Fantastic tour! The chocolate is super high end, the other sites were interesting and it was great way to see the old town, and our guide Marianne was great!

Fantastic Time plus chocolate

What a great way to explore Geneva! Isabelle was a great guide- enthusiastic, knowledgeable and friendly- we enjoyed the whole experience- and the chocolate! Loved how it combined the old city and history! Highly recommend!

Ellie_M, Jul 2026
Our tour guide Olivia had great energy and made the tour enjoyable. We got to try a wide variety of chocolates and go to many areas of the city. The only thing I think that would have made it five stars was if the tour was shortened to about 2 hours and more focused on just trying chocolate, not necessarily seeing Geneva monuments.

Excellent! our guide,...

Catherine_F, Jul 2026
EXCELLENT! Our guide, Dominic, was the best! He made the tour fun and interesting! As expected, a lot of walking, but we had a few periods of rest (either sitting or standing) while we sampled some of the chocolates. Some steep areas in Old Town, but manageable if you can do moderate exercise. Since the chocolate can melt easily due to its high quality, it would be helpful to bring wet wipes or napkins in case. The tour is managed very well timewise. The meeting place and ending place (the same) is convenient and accessible for taxis and Ubers. I highly recommend this tour!

It’s wonderful experience with Very knowledgeable and amazing guide. Recommend to everyone . Thank you

No, you are not going to...

Alan_K, Jul 2026
No, you are not going to be eating $100+ worth of chocolates. You can certainly purchase way more chocolates with the cost of the tour; however, without Camille's stories and context, chocolates will just be cacao butter mixed with some sugar that melted in your hands and mouth in two seconds. We enjoyed the history and stories behind every bite, and I believed we visited 6 or 7 stores in total. Great experience overall!

Response from Host, Jul 2026

Hello again ! It was such a pleasure to welcome you into Geneva. Thank you so much for your nice review, it’s always so nice to meet people and share my love of chocolate and history. I’m glad we were able to give you a glimpse into the world of Geneva. If you are ever back, we would love to have you ! Best regard, Camila

Laura_C, Jul 2026
best value for money, and probably one of the most entertaining tours i've had in Europe. Isabelle was an amazing guide, kept the whole group engages and shared so many fun facts!!!! time flew by!

Response from Host, Jul 2026

Hi Laura, Thank you so much for this amazing review! “One of the most entertaining tours I’ve had in Europe” is such a generous compliment! I’m so happy the time flew by and that the tour felt fun, lively, and worth it. It was a pleasure sharing Geneva, its Old Town, and plenty of Swiss chocolate with you and the group 🍫✨ Thanks again for joining the Geneva Chocolate & Old Town Tour with Local Flavours Tours, and for such a lovely recommendation. Warmly, Isabelle

The local tour operator...

Chris_H, Jun 2026
The local tour operator did a superb job of handling customer service, in addition to the main draw of the experience (Swiss chocolate, hello!).

Great Chocolate Walking Tour

Brian_B, Jun 2026
In spite of the stifling heat (this was during the heat wave where it was 100F / 40C), this was still a great tour. Our guide, Anatole, was fantastic. He kept the heat in mind and got us in the shade whenever possible. He was also a great guide overall, balancing general history, history of chocolate, and other discussion topics throughout the tour and injecting a little personality as well. I would absolutely recommend this tour (hopefully in slightly better weather), in general, and Anatole specifically as a guide

Chocolate and Geneva Tour with Isabelle

Matt_T, Jun 2026
Such an incredible experience! Isabelle was a wonderful guide and was super knowledgeable about both chocolate and Genevan history. She was fun, open, and very thoughtful on staying hydrated and shaded on the 98 degree day! The chocolate was absolutely delicious. Would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone. It spoiled me into thinking I’m not sure I can do another scenic tour without a delicious food element now!

Response from Host, Jul 2026

Hi Matt, Thank you so much for this lovely review, it really made me smile 🍫✨ I had such a great time with you, and I’m very glad the heat didn’t defeat us completely. That was definitely a serious Geneva summer day, so I’m happy the shade-and-water strategy worked! Also, I fully support your new standard that scenic tours should come with snacks. Honestly, it’s only fair. Thank you again for joining our Geneva Chocolate & Old Town Tour with Local Flavours Tours. Wishing you many more delicious adventures ahead! Warmly, Isabelle

Do not miss this trip!

Shana_R, Jun 2026
Our guide was a great story teller and made the trip so fun! We had wonderful chocolate and learned a lot about the city of Geneva!

Awesome tour

Raj_N, Jun 2026
One of the best walking guided tour experiences. Guide Isabella was awesome and very caring and of course knowledgeable. Really enjoyed

Response from Host, Jul 2026

Hi Raj, Thank you so much for your lovely review! I’m really happy this stood out as one of your best walking tour experiences, that’s such a kind compliment 😊 It was a pleasure having you on the Geneva Chocolate & Old Town Tour and sharing the city, the stories, and plenty of Swiss chocolate along the way. Thank you again for joining Local Flavours Tours, and for taking the time to leave such generous words. Warmly, Isabelle

A tour you SHOULD take

Aishath_S, Jun 2026
Marianne was such a sweetheart and took us through an informative, delicious, and fun walking tour of chocolatiers across the serene and gorgeous Geneva.

Wonderful knowledgeable friendly and amazing tour guide Marianne,a great 3 hour tour into local history & chocolatery

Ian_B, Jun 2026
Tbh I would say under English trading standards law, advertising a 10 minute free public transport boat ride as part of a chocolate & old town tour & boat trip would probably get you into a bit of legal trouble.I had to book another boat tour of lake Geneva as your boat ride was a bit of a disappointment for the £95 each on your excursion cost. But takes nothing away from your wonderful & knowledgeable tour guide Marianne and our actual three hour experience

Highly recommend!

Susan_M, Jun 2026
Olivia was a pure delight and made sure the group had a meaningful tour as well as our fill of chocolate. Great way to spend a morning in Geneva.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Thanks so much for the lovely review! I'm thrilled you had a meaningful morning and got your fill of delicious chocolate. It was a pure delight hosting you! Best, Olivia

Phenomenal chocolate and Geneva experience!

Diane_L, Jun 2026
Anatole, our tour guide, was fabulous. We enjoyed not only the six samplings of chocolate but also the tour of Geneva. Anatole gave us lots of excellent historical data on Geneva!

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Hey Diane, Thank you so much for this really nice feedback ! I had a blast getting to show you guys our beautiful city and talking at length about our great chocolate culture ! Thank you for your time and energy ! All the best, Anatole

Meh

blockbox78misc, Jun 2026
We have done a ton of food tours, and enjoy the blend of insights into the food, history, and culture of the city we are visiting. Our guide was pleasant, high energy, and hit all her marks for executing the tour, but we walked away with a sense of a missed opportunity. Although the tour covered a lot of ground physically (a lot of walking), it did feel like we were stringing chocolate stores together without a coherent story. The brief stops to cover history were just that - brief, without much sense for their impact on Geneva today. Current day Geneva didn’t get much mention. Could have used more on the chocolate manufacturing process (although the chocolate history overview was excellent). It wasn’t a bad way to spend 3 hours, but could have been much better.

The tour visited only 4...

Michal_T, Jun 2026
The tour visited only 4 chocolate shops and provided very limited access to chocolate. The commentary was forced and very superficial. The boat trip advertised in the tour is a 4 minute public ferry ride across the lake where the tour guide asked us to use our public transportation passes. This tour is a very poor value for money.

Great experience

Eszter_K, Jun 2026
I had a great time on this chocolate tour in Geneva. It was both interesting and delicious, with plenty of opportunities to taste a wide variety of excellent chocolates. Our host, Camilla, was very knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about Geneva's chocolate history, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Geneva or any chocolate lover looking for a fun and informative experience.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Dear Eszter, Thank you so much for your kind words, we are thrilled that you enjoyed your experience during the local Flavours Tours in Geneva. It was very nice to welcome a fellow local and have a different perspective on Geneva's traditions. We hope to see you again ! All the best, Camila
