Tbh I would say under English trading standards law, advertising a 10 minute free public transport boat ride as part of a chocolate & old town tour & boat trip would probably get you into a bit of legal trouble.I had to book another boat tour of lake Geneva as your boat ride was a bit of a disappointment for the £95 each on your excursion cost.
But takes nothing away from your wonderful & knowledgeable tour guide Marianne and our actual three hour experience

Olivia was a pure delight and made sure the group had a meaningful tour as well as our fill of chocolate. Great way to spend a morning in Geneva.
Diane_L, Jun 2026
Anatole, our tour guide, was fabulous. We enjoyed not only the six samplings of chocolate but also the tour of Geneva. Anatole gave us lots of excellent historical data on Geneva!

We have done a ton of food tours, and enjoy the blend of insights into the food, history, and culture of the city we are visiting. Our guide was pleasant, high energy, and hit all her marks for executing the tour, but we walked away with a sense of a missed opportunity. Although the tour covered a lot of ground physically (a lot of walking), it did feel like we were stringing chocolate stores together without a coherent story. The brief stops to cover history were just that - brief, without much sense for their impact on Geneva today. Current day Geneva didn’t get much mention. Could have used more on the chocolate manufacturing process (although the chocolate history overview was excellent).
It wasn’t a bad way to spend 3 hours, but could have been much better.

The tour visited only 4 chocolate shops and provided very limited access to chocolate. The commentary was forced and very superficial.
The boat trip advertised in the tour is a 4 minute public ferry ride across the lake where the tour guide asked us to use our public transportation passes.
This tour is a very poor value for money.

I had a great time on this chocolate tour in Geneva. It was both interesting and delicious, with plenty of opportunities to taste a wide variety of excellent chocolates. Our host, Camilla, was very knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about Geneva's chocolate history, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Geneva or any chocolate lover looking for a fun and informative experience.

This tour was the perfect way to see the whole of Geneva while getting to taste more chocolate than we could eat! Olivia was the perfect tour guide, friendly and knowledgeable about the chocolate and the city itself. A must-do for anyone visiting Geneva for the first time.

This is a walking tour plus a boat ride across the lake from hotel row to old Town. Louie did a great job of leading us to 6 chocolate shops. It was a wonderful tour with Louie sharing a lot of interesting.Geneva history.
Angela_S, May 2026
Dominic was amazing! We loved all the history of Geneva and chocolate. You can tell he loves his job.
Vicki_O, May 2026
We had such a fun experience walking through Geneva sampling some truly lovely chocolate. The guide was just the right amount of talkative and was so kind and informative. It was a great way to see and experience a city we didn't have much time in. Even though it was hot out, we stayed in the shade and enjoyed the sunshine. I would highly recommend this tour and the delicious treats it served!
Stacey_E, May 2026
This tour is a must when visiting Geneva. So much chocolate!!! They give you tons of chocolate to eat, and if you reach your limit, you can take what you don’t eat home with you. Isabella was a fantastic guide! She gave lots of info on the history of chocolate and Geneva! It’s a great way to see the city while also tasting all of it’s chocolate. The only negative is the boat ride was quite short. Book now!!!
Response from Host, Jun 2026
Hi Stacey,
Thank you so much for your lovely review! I’m really glad you enjoyed the tour and all the chocolate along the way, including the “emergency take-home supply” when the chocolate limit is reached 😄🍫
It was a pleasure sharing Geneva, the Old Town, and a bit of chocolate history with you. I’m happy the tour felt like a good way to discover the city while tasting plenty of Swiss chocolate.
And yes, the boat ride is short, but at least it gives us a sweet little lake moment between all the walking and tastings ✨
Thank you again for joining our Geneva Chocolate & Old Town Tour with Local Flavours Tours, and for such a kind recommendation!
Warmly,
Isabelle

Fun morning eating chocolate & enjoying a walk around Geneva Old Town. Our guide Olivia was charming & shared great stories about Geneva's history. And the chocolate samples were scrumptious!
Response from Host, May 2026
Hey, thank you so much! I’m thrilled you had a fun morning exploring the Old Town and that you found the chocolate samples scrumptous. It was an absolute pleasure sharing those stories with you! Best, Olivia
David_M, May 2026
Was a great experience, I would recommend for any chocolate lover. But just know you will be walking most of the trip so be prepared. Our guide Maryann was fantastic I would recommend her every time!

Paul was an amazing tour guide! He took us to excellent chocolate shops and explained history and the chocolates very diligently. I highly recommend taking this tour. It was a great way to spend a morning in Geneva.
Response from Host, Jun 2026
Hello! The best tours always feel less like a tour and more like a pleasant walk with good company. Thank you for making it one of those days.
Yours, Paul
Juanita_E, May 2026
I am so happy I did this tour as I am a chocoholic! My hubby was at a conference and I was looking for something to past the afternoon, it did not disappoint! The tour guide was Olivia and she knew so much about the history of not only the chocolate but the city. It was clear when she spoke how much she loved both. She was engaging and interactive, made it so much fun. I got to see and learn so much about the city. I thoroughly enjoyed touring the old town and seeing inside Saint Pierre Cathedral. My husband was a little jealous he was not there and now I knew more and saw more of Geneva than he did. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a fun way to see the sights and indulge guilt free in the sweet treats. Olivia I hope you get to visit my county in Canada some day and take in the sights of Montreal!
Response from Host, May 2026
Hey, thank you so much for the fantastic review! I'm thrilled that I could help a fellow chocoholic pass a fun afternoon and give you some bragging rights over your husband. It was an absolute joy sharing the history of the Old Town and Saint Pierre Cathedral with you. Hopefully see you in Canada some day! Best, Olivia
Romy_v, May 2026
The tour is very much chocolate based, but you'll learn quite some nice historical facts along the way as well, while making your way through town. Our guide Isabelle was absolutely lovely - great humor and easy to understand. Definitely 10/10 would recommend, as two mid-20s girls :).
Response from Host, Jun 2026
Hi Romy,
Thank you so much for your lovely review! I’m really happy you both enjoyed the tour and that the mix of chocolate, Geneva history, and walking through town worked well for you 🍫✨
I especially appreciate the “easy to understand” part, that means a lot, and I’m so glad the humour landed too. It was a pleasure having you both on the Geneva Chocolate & Old Town Tour with Local Flavours Tours.
Wishing you many more fun and chocolate-filled trips together!
Warmly,
Isabelle
Don_S, May 2026
The tour guide, Isabel, was knowledgeable, passionate about about explaining the subtle differences of chocolate, and well versed about the history of Geneva. Six separate stoos at chocolate stores may have been a bit too much but the samples were generous and very different.
Michele_S, May 2026
This was a well balanced tour of the history of chocolate and also history of Geneva. Our tour guide, Paul, was knowledgeable and funny. The tour was well worth it, just be prepared to eat a lot of chocolate!
Response from Host, Jun 2026
Hi! There is so much history packed into Geneva's streets. I'm happy we had the chance to bring some of it to life together.
Yours, Paul
