The experience itself is amazing BUT what you should know is that this is not for novice snorkelers. Please bring very good water shoes, not TEMU quality. You will need thicker bottoms for the coral you do need to walk on while on land. Lunch was as promised very local in flavors and quality. I would only recommend this to my more experienced snorkelers.

This tour was awesome. One of the best tours I have ever been on he accommodated all of us there was 23 of us and he was absolutely awesome. Change the tour for us just to accommodate the rest of our group amazing. Nice boat so much fun

Excellent tour. Definitely bring water shoes.
Went to pearl farm, rum distillery, vanilla farm.
Reef snorkeling was great and swimming with the sharks. Lunch was ok.

Such a cool experience! Heimana was a young and fun guide. The pearl farm and rum factory were actually very interesting, glad we went! And the snorkeling was to die for. Great weather and the current was light and fun. The island lunch was slightly cold as it was buffet style with other groups, but everything was so good.. and the motu was so pretty with so much coral on the beach. Def bring water shoes, sunscreen and a rashguard in case :-) The day is long, but we got to swim with sharks, rays and so many fish at multiple snorkeling spots. It was a nice land and sea combo, def recommend this!

This was the best value of our entire 15 day cruise. Our guide was very attentive and made sure everyone had a great day. This is a must do tour for anyone visiting Raiatea.

Wonderful lagoon tour with Coral garden, Vanilla Farm, snorkeling with the sharks and Pearl Farm. Delicious hearty lunch. It’s good to do the tour in the beginning of your stay at the island.

We dont force anyone to go out in case of bad weather and you could have cancelled your trip, you would have been reimbursed. !!!!
We were not on weather watch and despite what you say, we had 48 people on 4 boats and who wanted to go out!! Only 4 people cancelled that day... So yes it is much less pretty and nice and the colors were not there that day and everything seems more bland... it is "less fun" but we are not responsible....Don’t mix it all up: the weather and the professionalism of the captain that remains intact.!!!! So to conclure YES YOU DEFINITELY SHOULD CANCEL YOUR TOUR . YOU COULD DO IT

This was a phenomenal day trip. Our captain, Patrick, was not only a great captain but a super nice guy and he serenaded us while playing guitar.
First stop was the pearl farm. They explained the pearl farming process which was really interesting. You had the ability to purchase pearls directly from them.
Second stop was the rum distillery. Also very interesting.
Third stop was snorkeling. It was the best snorkeling we have ever done in our lives. Be sure to bring water shoes as you have to walk a ways on a rocky surface. They will not let you do the drift snorkel without those shoes. Once you get to the start of the coral garden the current does all the work and you just get to enjoy. Our guide was Mano, he was the captain of another boat. He was fantastic stopping along the way to explain things.
Fourth stop was lunch. It was a buffet which had pasta, chicken and loads of fish. The highlight was the fresh tuna and coconut bread.
Then on to the vanilla farm. Very informative and we did purchase vanilla beans to try making our own vanilla extract and monoi oil.
We thought we were done for the day but we made one last stop in the middle of nowhere. Patrick said it’s time to swim with the sharks. There were about 15 black tip sharks circling the boat. We jumped in and the sharks swam right next to us. Bonus also saw a huge stingray.
This was truly an unforgettable day made possible by Patrick and Mano.

Loved each stop on this tour. Each stop was so intimate and I loved learning how the process worked. From a small family pearl farm, small family vanilla plantation, and even the lunch stop was a small family operation. The snorkeling is great too.

Unfortunately we had a storm kick up mid tour which was rather unexpected and quite strong. Our young captain did his best to return us to the port we had some extreme winds and waves which led to life jackets and a very harrowing experience. The tour would have been ideal weather permitting.

Notre guide Eikau était adorable et nous a appris pleins de choses sur l’histoire polynésienne, les cultures, la faune et la flore du pacifique !

Super journée de visite de Tahaa, nous étions 8 dans le bateau, le capitaine super sympa et drôle nous a donné de très bonnes explications tout le long de la journée. Plusieurs fois il a sorti son ukulele et nous a interprété des chansons, bravo a lui! Nous n’avons jamais été pressé par le temps, nous étions plutôt libre de flâner au shop des différentes visites. Nous recommandons cette journée!
