The owner provided us a wonderful wine tasting experience, Langaduc wine region overview and history. The food was a tasty compliment to the wine tasting. Would highly recommend this experience for novice and wine aficionados!

As a solo traveller I felt very comfortable as part of the group. Also the charcuterie board provided was delicious. Would thoroughly recommend!

Overview

Grab four or more friends and take a seat at the table for a relaxed and social wine tasting at a wine cave in Carcassonne’s old town. Lasting around one and half hours, a knowledgeable wine expert will walk you through a sensory smorgasbord of fine wines accompanied by local side dishes. Learn about the history of winemaking from Roman times to the present day and be pleasantly surprised by the local varieties of wine as you experience six different drops. Tastings can be delivered in English, French, or Spanish.

Longuedoc wines with a great explanation of the varieties. Alex was a great host. 7 wines with small bites of meat, cheese, bread, and dips. Two hours. Great as a group or solo.

Alex was a great host, personable and generous. He shared his extensive knowledge of wines from the Languedoc Roussillon région. He also provided cheeses, meats, crackers and bread from the région. We tasted 8 different wines and some in side-by-side comparisons. We learned lots of useful information. Definitely highly recommend this wine tasting experience. An excellent value.

Travelling with friends on a short stay in Carcassone, thought we'd do a very condensed trip around the Lanquedoc French wines @ Vin & Vinos. At just 1 hour we didn't expect much, but it was extremely fun, interesting and Alex packed just a lot in. The hour long event, was shared with other travellers and it added to the lovely atmosphere. We tasted 4 regional wines, all really lovely, helping you navigate the extensive range of wines on offer in Carcassone. Would highly recommend this, its fun and great value for money, if you dont do it, you're missing out.

Many thanks for your review. This was for our new Saturday 12pm tasting. Four wines and a whirlwind tour of the Languedoc! If you are short on time and don't want food with the tasting this is just for you. Visit the market in the morning, taste and learn about local wines before lunch and then nip around the corner to Le Cathare for the plât du Jour. Perfect Saturday in Carcassonne.

Alex shared his deep passion and knowledge of fine wines. We thoroughly enjoyed our time learning about various wines from the region, The wine discovery experience included a table laden with cheeses, meats, etc.. The wine tasting experience included sparking wine, white wines, rose, and red wines. This is an excellent opportunity to really discover wines from vineyards in the Carcassonne region. No waiting time and excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

This was a fun and educational experience! We tasted 8 wines, including the cremant de limoux and rose, whie and red wines made from the grapes of the local terroir. Very tasty cheese was also included. I have a new appreciation for the creative blends of old and newer varietals. Wonderful!
