Terrible experience from start to finish. We booked a Day Tour from Fes to the Middle Atlas (Imouzzer, Ifrane, Azrou) via Viator, specifically choosing an air-conditioned vehicle and a package that included entry fees.
On 3rd July, in 40°C+ heat, we were transferred into a van with no air conditioning because the driver was “unreachable.” We spent the entire day with hot air blasting through open windows—completely unacceptable given the conditions.
Despite our booking clearly including entrance fees, we were forced to pay again. When challenged, the owner referred us to his own website instead of honoring the Viator booking.
The vehicle then broke down multiple times due to overheating. At one point, we were left waiting in extreme heat while the driver refilled the radiator with water. After informing the manager, the driver became visibly aggressive. We experienced three separate breakdowns, long delays, and ultimately missed one of the main stops (Azrou) entirely.
The driver was not a guide, repeatedly stating he was “just the driver” and not affiliated with the company.
We were promised a 70% refund but only received 50%. Given the lack of air conditioning, missed itinerary, extra costs, and safety concerns, this is unacceptable.
Avoid this company.
Response from Host, Jul 2026
Regarding the clients from July 3rd—Mr. Adrian Firth and his wife, who went on the Middle Atlas day trip, they gave us a poor rating after raising several complaints that day:
1) They complained about the heat, noting temperatures over 40°C; however, the actual temperature was 42°C or even 43°C, so this was not the driver's fault.
2) They claimed they were forced to pay for a visit to a troglodyte dwelling, this is untrue, as our "Inclusions & Exclusions" section clearly states that the admission fees for optional visit of an troglodyte dwelling in Immouzar : 2 Euros.
3) They demanded a 70% refund after completing the entire trip. This is illogical; if they were dissatisfied, they should have cancelled at the startat the start of the trip to claim a full refund, rather than waiting until the trip ended to ask for a partial one.
However, this is not the first time such a situation has occurred—whether for our agency, or others i know, or agencies worldwide—as there are dishonest people everywhere who try to travel almost for free by making various claims.
Despite this, our agency agreed to a 50% refund, even though the clients had completed the excursion from start to finish.
Please also note that, prior to this latest review from the July 3rd clients, this product already had 20 reviews with an average rating of 4.5
For all these reasons, I am asking if it is possible to remove this latest review, given that our agency agreed to a 50% refund after. Thank you for your understanding.
