We enjoyed (8 yr old son, husband and I) the bird watching guided tour of the Rio Formosa lagoon. We were lucky that the tide was higher that day which allowed us to approach the salt pans where the flamingos were located. We saw spoonbills, plovers, terns, cormorants and osprey as well. Our guide, Pedro , was patient, friendly and informative.

Really fantastic! Saw over 20 species through top notch binoculars and had a little stop over in the dunes. The guide was super knowledgeable about the birds and even provided the names in different languages. My highlight was seeing five spoonbills!!!

I like our guide Pedro and his enthusiasm to show us as many as possible species, content of the excursion, boat was very comfortable, also binoculars were good. We met 13 different species (some i have been watched first in my life). We were also lucky to see babies of kentish plovers. As a professional biologist i enjoyed much the excursion. I gave 4/5 points only because the excursion was at the high tide and the excursion description did not say that the number of species depends on this.

This was an amazing trip. The boat was comfortable and easily accessible for my 86-year old father. With a maximum of 11 on board (there were only 7 on our trip), there was plenty of room.
Our guide Andre was friendly and knowledgeable, taking time to explain what we were seeing and answering any questions.
We all loved the stop at the island where we were able to get off the boat and take pictures, with my 8-year old son taking the opportunity to go for a paddle.
This is a great trip for all ages and it was wonderful to see another part of Portugal.

Andre was the guide on our March 4th guided tour. He was extremely personable and pointed out 20+ bird species. He also shared interesting facts about the oyster farms and the Seahorse Research facility. I would highly recommend Andre and this tour company!

I booked this tour not as a bird enthusiast but looking for a calm, easy going and comfortable tour through the Ria Formosa. André was our guide, a marine biologist, and he was very informative and educational- binoculars and bird spotting cards were available and made the trip a lot of fun!

The flamingoes! We saw a large group towards the end of the visit! The guide was also very friendly , good company and knowledgeable. . The boat trip was enjoyable in itself and well organised. We found the place very easily on foot from the station inFaro which was very good as we were staying in Tavira .

An exceptional trip with a knowledgeable guide /skipper who took great care to show us the many different birds to be seen in the lagoon. We saw storks, egret, flamingoes, spoonbills and many others Brilliant and we were even lucky enough to see an osprey. We learned about their habits and migration patterns and questions were patiently answered.
Great value and a memorable experience, would thoroughly recommend it.

Good bird watching tour with a friendly guide. We had a cancelled tour one day due to bad weather. This was not the company's fault obviously and they offered us an alternative the next day which turned out fine. The tour itself was decent and we saw some nice birds, including plenty of spoonbills.

A well run trip on a comfortable boat run by a knowlegable guide who knew the birds and his area.

The tour is absolutely worth their money because we had a dedicated guide who wanted to show us as many different birds as possible, found them and had some information and anecdotes about them. We even saw white storks, comorans, white-tailed eagles and flamingos. The small group was very pleasant and the environment very nice!
