We had an amazing time on this tour. When selecting a tour, I made sure to book one that showed helmets in the photos because it seemed like it could be dangerous sliding down rocks in the river. I am SO glad I did, because I slipped while walking in the river and fell into a boulder in the water, but was completely fine because of the helmet! Our guide, Julio, was amazing! He shared so much knowledge about Puerto Rico and his love for his island was palpable. I highly recommend this tour.

Wear shoes that will grip on wet rocks! Hike is fairly difficult- not for those that aren’t fit. Alana and Danny were incredible guides- made us feel safe and supported throughout and took pictures which was amazing. Our group of 9 was in agreement that this was an incredible experience. Appreciated the use of helmets. Sliding down water falls, rope swing and cliff jumping in the beautiful rainforest- all unforgettable! Appreciated the information about the rainforest history and some of its species. Thank you!!

Had the best experience with our tour guides! They took so many photos, stayed behind with us when we needed a break, understood when we got nervous about the jumps and never made us feel rushed or pressured! Very knowledgeable, I can’t wait to come back!
Hailey_P, Jun 2026
Wear sneakers and socks you don’t mind getting wet and muddy. Take in the beauty of the rainforest and have fun.
Joseph_M, Jun 2026
Great trip. It’s well worth the money to have a guide for this visit to El Yunque. Our guides Julio and Riley shared the history of the island, described the fauna and animals while walking to the water. Once there, they knew every walking path and foothold so we could maximize our fun. Highly recommend this tour!
Akia_W, Apr 2026
Super fun and exciting! Wear sneakers as water shoes don’t have the best grip. Don’t hesitate to try it out even if you aren’t the fittest. The guides were extremely helpful.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Hi Akia!
Thank you for sharing such an upbeat and encouraging review! El Yunque adventure days are all about rainforest fun, and we are so glad you found it super fun and exciting from start to finish. Thank you for the great tip about sneakers for better grip on those natural water slides, that advice will definitely help future adventurers feel more prepared. We are especially happy you felt supported by our helpful guides and comfortable tackling a beginner-friendly hike, even if you do not consider yourself the fittest. That confidence boost is what it is all about. When you are ready for more island excitement, reach out and check out other incredible tours with Paradise Seekers Puerto Rico!

This rainforest hike was so much fun! The tour guide picked up me and some other guests from our hotels and stopped by a small local kiosk to get some breakfast. After the safety briefing we got a bunch of information and facts about the rainforest from one of the guides. The hike is easy but the most thrilling parts were the waterslides and jumping off the cliffs! As someone who doesn’t like height's, I am so happy that I participated in every activity! The guides made sure everyone was comfortable and safe, since some people preferred to just watch others jump.
Afterwards we drove to the luquillo kiosks and got to enjoy our lunch at the beautiful pocita el arrife and buy some souvenirs.
I would recommend this tour to anyone up for an adventure!
Plus the pictures the guides took are a fun little memory.
Response from Host, Apr 2026

We’re so happy to hear you had an amazing time on our El Yunque waterslides tour! It means a lot that our safety first approach stood out from the moment you booked, and we love hearing that the helmet protection gave you real peace of mind when it mattered most. River hiking and natural waterslides are meant to be exciting, and we’re thrilled Julio helped make the experience feel both fun and secure. Crowded conditions. Expect lots of other people. You should be comfortable climbing up and over big rocks.
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Hi Martha!
We really appreciate you highlighting what guests can expect at El Yunque. The crowded trails are often a sign of how beloved this popular destination truly is, and the rock scrambling sections definitely call for a bit of adventure spirit. It’s a physical hike that rewards you with incredible rainforest views, flowing water, and that unmistakable sense of accomplishment once you’ve climbed those big rocks. Thank you for helping future travelers come prepared for the experience. When you’re ready for your next adventure, reach out and explore more unique tours with Paradise Seekers Puerto Rico.

What a fantastic time!!! Loved our driver Fernando and our guide Julio was the best! This was a truly unique climbing, hiking and water adventure. Wear your tennis shoes! You will get soaked head to toe. I was really glad I wore yoga pants and my swim shirt with my bathing suit as there were some tight muddy squeezes. I felt safe and my three teen boys thought it was great. I would say it’s a bit like Dunn River Falls in Jamaica, but unique in other respects and way better! Rope jumps, water slides, cliff jumps all possible. Water and snacks at the end. Don’t plan on bringing anything on the hike. Towels/dry clothes in the car. I highly highly recommend. I’m not the youngest or the most limber, but I was able to do this.
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Hi Laura!
Your energy jumps right off the page, and we are so glad the adventure lived up to the hype! The combination of climbing, rainforest hiking, natural water slides, and those epic rope jumps and cliff jumps makes for a day you never forget. Julio and Fernando are such a fantastic team, and knowing you felt safe and supported while still getting completely soaked head to toe is exactly what we aim for. Hearing that you and your boys had such a blast means everything to us. Whenever you are ready for another thrill in paradise, reach out and explore more tours with Paradise Seekers Puerto Rico.

We had an amazing experience! Alvin guided us through several natural rock water slides, and multiple opportunities to jump from doffering height cliffs. We had a group of 14, ranging in ages from 13 to 50, and all loved it!
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Hi Mark!
What an incredible crew to bring into the El Yunque rainforest! Alvin truly has a gift for turning a day in the El Yunque rainforest into a full on adventure, and we are so glad your entire group loved the natural rock water slides and varying cliff jumping heights. Hosting a group ranging from 13 to 50 and seeing everyone light up is what small group adventure is all about. That blend of adrenaline, laughter, and family friendly fun creates memories that stick.
We would love to have your crew back, so reach out when you are ready and explore more of our island experiences with Paradise Seekers Puerto Rico.

Julio is a fabulous guide, knowledgeable about the ecosystem and Puerto Rican history! Parts of the hike are challenging and involve scrambling up and down slipprry rocks. Follow the directions to wear closed-toed shoes and a swimsuits. Bring a change of dry clothes and shoes/sandals for the beach. Enjoy the adventure!
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Hi Sage!
Thank you for the thoughtful review and for trusting us with your El Yunque adventure! We love that Julio’s mix of rainforest expertise and Puerto Rican history stood out for you, that’s exactly the kind of personal touch we aim for. The challenging sections with slippery rock scrambling can be a thrill, and we’re glad you highlighted how important it is to follow the gear guidance like closed-toed shoes and a swimsuit. Your suggestion to pack dry clothes and an extra pair of sandals is gold, it helps guests finish the day at the beach stop feeling refreshed instead of soaked. If you are craving another wild and wonderful experience, reach out and check out more tours and adventures with Paradise Seekers Puerto Rico.
Alicia_H, Mar 2026
Adventurous climb up the waterfall to treacherous heights on slippery rock, mud, and pools of water. Challenging climb not fit for flip flops. Sliding down wet rock waterfalls, or jumping into a deep pool, one level down. One pool is called the “washing machine” because you have to swim around the edge and under the waterfall to avoid getting sucked back into the middle. Vegetation is mostly the “chicken foot tree” roots, bamboo, and foliage. The roots of the tree stick out everywhere but are great to grab onto as you climb up.
Guide was amazing with his stunts and knowledge of the pathway up. He was fun but made sure to keep us out of harm with his whistle. He really made the experience good because he had a positive, and encouraging demeanor.
Transportation was a pro local driver that knew how to get us there fast on the narrow, winding roads. A little miscommunication with the pickup time/location but we got there. AC was pretty good.
Absolutely recommend for a challenging, wet climbing experience and opportunities to be brave.
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Hi Alicia!
Thank you for such an awesome rundown of the El Yunque Waterfalls adventure, you captured the real deal, slippery rock, muddy footing, and all. We love that you leaned into the challenge. The wet climb, the slide downs, and those deep pools are exactly what makes this trip such a standout for brave, adventurous guests. Huge shoutout for noticing how your guide kept it fun with stunts and knowledge, but still dialed in on safety and steady encouragement. If you want another bold, water-soaked mission, reach out and check out more experiences with Paradise Seekers Puerto Rico.

It is a hike tho mild still a hike. Lots of climbing and crawling. Dont be afraid to jump and slide. Listen to your guide
Response from Host, Feb 2026
Thank you for highlighting the true spirit of our El Yunque tour. It may be a nice rainforest hike, but those climbs and crawls definitely wake up your inner adventurer. We are thrilled you leaned into the natural water slides and took the leap with some cliff jumping, because those are the moments guests talk about for years. And we could not agree more, trusting and listening to our expert guides keeps the experience smooth, exciting, and safe from start to finish. Overall excellent experience from pickup to drop off. Could be a challenging experience though for an older or overweight person so plan on being tested physically especially if you’re just a normal
9-5 worker. Great route and friendly guide who knew the route like the back of his hand. You’ll definitely get to experience all the rainforest has to offer.
Response from Host, Feb 2026
Hi Anthony!
We love that you called it an overall excellent experience from pickup to drop off, that seamless roundtrip transportation is exactly how we want every adventure to start and finish. You’re absolutely right, El Yunque can be a physically challenging hike, especially for those used to the 9 to 5 routine, but that’s part of what makes reaching those rainforest gems so rewarding. We’re thrilled you enjoyed the scenic rainforest route and had such a friendly, expert local guide who truly knows the terrain inside and out. When you’re ready to test yourself again, reach out and check out some of the other adventures waiting with Paradise Seekers Puerto Rico.

From the time we booked our El Yunque Rainforest adventure until afterwards, the tour operator Alvin, was great with communication. This is a very reputable tour company that books through Viator. Paradise Seekers was very professional. This was a small group tour and Alvin made it work for the four of us with convenient pick up and drop off from the cruise port. The hiking, climbing, and waterslide adventure was amazing from start to finish. The hike had great views, the climbs were exciting and challenging on tree roots and slippery rocks. The natural waterslide was awesome. Our guide, Julio was great and knowledgeable and made everything feel safe and fun with life jackets and helmets. Definitely a must do if you love an adventure outdoors! I recommend leaving all valuables behind and don’t carry anything. Even your phone! Julio was very nice to take photos and videos. Follow the recommendations from the tour company. This is not easy but a great challenge. It got me out of my comfort zone and I’m so glad I did it! I highly recommend this tour. We were able to customize the tour to four hours since we’re the only ones on the tour.
Response from Host, Feb 2026
Hi Giovanna!
We truly appreciate you sharing such an incredible recap of your rainforest adventure. We love hearing that our communication made the entire process smooth from booking to drop off, especially with cruise port logistics which can sometimes get tricky. It is awesome that your small group was able to enjoy a fully customized experience, and even better that Julio helped make every hike, climb, and natural waterslide feel both exciting and safe. His knowledge and attention to safety with helmets and life jackets is exactly what we aim for in an environment as wild and beautiful as El Yunque. We especially love hearing that the challenge pushed you beyond your comfort zone in the best way possible and left you feeling accomplished, energized, and proud of taking on the adventure. Thank you for trusting our team and fully embracing the experience. Be sure to check out some of our other outdoor experiences and reach out when you are ready for your next journey with Paradise Seekers Puerto Rico.

This was worth the money. We had 10 people in our group & we got a private van just for us because of the volume of people. Our driver, Fernando was amazing! He kept us entertained the entire time. In terms of the rain forest! I have nothing but great things, they took us various points of the forest, we went on rock water slides towards a small whirlpool, jump off a cliff, took beautiful photo of us. The whole experience was amazing
Response from Host, Jan 2026
Hi Jaciel!
We truly appreciate you sharing this, and it makes us so happy to hear how much you enjoyed the day. A group of your size paired with a private van is always a great setup, and Fernando will be thrilled to hear how much his energy and entertainment added to the ride. Exploring the rainforest, racing down natural water slides, taking the cliff jump, and cooling off in the whirlpool are the moments that make this experience so special, and we’re thrilled it all came together for you. Knowing you left with great photos and memories is the best compliment we could receive. We’d love to welcome you back for another unforgettable adventure, so be sure to check out our other experiences with Paradise Seekers Puerto Rico when you’re ready.
Bryanna_M, Jan 2026
This experience was AMAZING! Julio was so knowledgeable and very helpful when it came to climbing the rocks and when it came time to jump in the water. I would definitely recommend a small group because you can get a more one on one.

Tour guide was very knowledgeable about El Yunque and Puerto Rico. Water activities were a ton of fun - we did more than many other groups
Response from Host, Jan 2026
Hi Noah!
Thanks so much for the awesome review! We're thrilled you had such a fun time exploring El Yunque and enjoying the water activities. Getting to do more than other groups is exactly what we aim for. Our guides love sharing their deep knowledge of both the rainforest and Puerto Rican culture, making each hike and natural water slide adventure truly memorable. Our small group style is all about creating space for those extra moments: more exploring, more fun, and a more personal connection with nature. We’d love to welcome you back for another unforgettable experience with Paradise Seekers Puerto Rico!
Mia_Y, Jan 2026
From start to finish this attraction was amazing. The directions to the meet up location was clear and concise, and had no issues finding the pick up van. Julio made sure to keep everyone informed and ensured safety was a top priority. The tour will require some minimal hiking skills so make sure you come prepared with the right shoes. Helmet and life vests are provided which I thought was a great addition and eased the nerves when jumping off the cliffs or going down the natural water slides. Anyone coming to Puerto Rico should do this tour!
Response from Host, Jan 2026
Hi Mia!
We’re so grateful for your detailed feedback! Knowing you felt safe, informed, and well-prepared during your time with us means everything. Julio is a pro at guiding guests through El Yunque’s stunning trails and natural water slides while keeping safety a top priority. We’re glad the gear and guidance helped ease those pre-jump nerves. It’s all part of the thrill!!! Thanks for recommending us to future visitors, and for providing the great tip about wearing the right shoes, it really does make a difference. We’d love to have you back for more exploring with Paradise Seekers Puerto Rico next time you are here!
Tzvetomila_Y, Jan 2026
Due to a wrong digit in the provided phone number they pretended that the driver has been waiting for us in front of the hotel but actually they didn't wrote me on the email or try to reach me out alternative. Even they said that they had a call with us and we had canceled which is not true. My tree kids were extremely disappointed and in addition also no refund of the money for non provided service. This is so ridiculous. We asked to be included in the group next day but after a couple of calls because the provider was not picking up they said there is not availability.
Response from Host, Jan 2026
Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced.
We fully understand how disappointing this situation must have been for you and your family. After reviewing the case, we found that the phone number provided contained two incorrect digits when you made the reservation , which unfortunately led to a misunderstanding. When our team called the number on file, the person who finally answered requested that the tour be canceled and to please stop calling and sending texts. Based on that conversation, our staff proceeded accordingly, believing the request came from the booking party.
Our guides did arrive as scheduled but were unable to reach you directly, as we had no alternative contact information available at that time.
We truly regret the frustration this caused and appreciate your understanding. We are actively improving our procedures to prevent this type of issue in the future.
Thank you again for bringing this to our attention, and we hope to have the chance to welcome you again to this amazing experience
Warm regards,
Alvin Robles

Gorgeous and fun hike. Be sure to wear good shoes that you can get wet and muddy. You want traction for this and will get wet and muddy.
Response from Host, Jan 2026
Hi Adam,
We really appreciate you highlighting that mix of beauty and adventure that defines this hike. The rainforest waterslides are all about getting immersed in nature, mud, water, and all, and it sounds like you came prepared. Wearing the right shoes helps guests move confidently across the slick terrain and enjoy every step without hesitation. That balance of fun and challenge is exactly what makes this experience so rewarding. We are glad you had a great time out there soaking it all in. Whenever you are ready to explore more trails, rivers, and hidden gems, reach out and check out our other adventures with Paradise Seekers Puerto Rico.

This was a true adventure, much more rugged and exciting than we thought it would be. Our guide Julio was excellent, brimming with enthusiasm to share about the island, the rainforest and more.
Response from Host, Jan 2026
Hi Andy!
What an awesome way to describe the experience, a true adventure is exactly what we aim for. The rainforest has a wild side, and we are glad you enjoyed exploring its more rugged and exciting terrain. Julio brings a genuine love for the island and its ecosystems into every tour, and it means a lot to hear that his enthusiasm stood out. Creating moments that feel authentic, challenging, and memorable is what drives us. Whenever the adventure bug bites again, we would love for you to explore our other tours and connect with Paradise Seekers Puerto Rico.
Delanie_W, Dec 2025
Fun adventure! Highly recommend. Wear shoes with a good tred that will grip wet rock. Plan on taking the minimum on the hike (water proof camera that is it). Enjoy the rain forest!
Our guide was awesome! He kept us safe, shared interesting facts about the forest, the river, and the island. You are not forced to do anything you do not want to do. You choose your level of challenge.
Thank you for a great afternoon adventure!
Response from Host, Jan 2026
Hi Delanie!
Thank you so much for this thoughtful and energetic review. We love how you captured the true spirit of the adventure, from gripping wet rock to traveling light and fully immersing yourself in the rainforest. It means a lot to hear that our guide helped you feel safe while also sharing meaningful insight about the forest, river, and island. Giving guests the freedom to choose their own level of challenge is a big part of what makes this experience special, so we are glad that stood out. Thank you for trusting us with your afternoon in the rainforest, and when you are ready for more, check out our other adventures and connect with Paradise Seekers Puerto Rico.
Analisa_V, Nov 2025
This experience was challenging but truly so much fun. Julio did an amazing job keeping us safe and making sure we felt safe. We were able to decide how comfortable we felt doing things, some of our group jumped off a higher cliff but some didn't want to so they didn’t have to. It was honestly so much fun and Julio taught us about the wildlife and plants! We saw a coqui frog and a hummingbird. Amazing experience highly recommend! Thank you Julio!!
Tangela_N, Nov 2025
Overall, we had a good time. Our driver was communicative, friendly, and showed up on time. Our guide was upbeat and knowledgeable, sharing lot of facts as we hiked. I wish we had a better description of the activity because the hiking was more difficult than we expected, especially with the many wet, slippery rocks we had to navigate.
Lauren_M, Oct 2025
We had never done a Viator excursion prior to this one so we did not know what to expect. We received clear communication prior to our excursion so we knew exactly where to meet and who we were looking for. This excursion was quite the adventure! Our tour guide, Julio was very knowledgable and made sure we knew what to do and helped us feel safe.
KristianaHart, Sep 2025
Julio was very energetic, passionate & trustworthy. His love for Puerto Rico is beyond words- truly made the experience that much better. He spent time telling us history, showing us native plants and animals & was very helpful navigating the trail. Yamila (sorry if I butchered spelling) his partner guide was new and awesome to chat with as well. She took great photos and videos. We had such a great time visiting El Yunque & totally recommend this trip!
Denise_C, Sep 2025
We had an amazing tour guided by Julio. He was very patient and knowledgeable, he not only taught us about the foliage & wildlife but also the islands rich history. He made sure everyone felt comfortable with the hike and made sure no one felt pressured to go down the natural slides. This activity was perfect for newbies like myself.
Brittany_O, Aug 2025
We booked this excursion for our family of 6 (2 adults, 3 older teens, and a younger teen), and it was seriously one of the best parts of our entire vacation. Things I loved about it--it was just the 6 of us! We saw other groups that had to have 15-25 people. We loved the small group, moving at our pace, being able to do the tallest jumps as desired, and being able to work around the larger crowds. Julio was our guide, and he also has a tremendous knowledge of the plant foliage and ecosystem of the rainforest. Don't worry if you think you are going to miss out on time in the water as Julio describes the nature, he ensures you get everything in the trip. He even found fresh fruits on the property owner's land (where you park) and rinsed for us to try. Seriously, such a fun trip! A few pointers-take the recommendations, wear tennis shoes, bring a change of clothes, and appreciate the life jackets. You're going to have a blast.
