We had a guided sunset tour at Arthur’s Chair with Marcus and it was the most amazing experience! Marcus is extremely knowledgeable of the area and made the experience so fun and enjoyable. He can accommodate the hike for multiple fitness levels. Your reward is the most beautiful views of the city! If you are looking for an experience that is that is an outdoor adventure in the middle of the city I would highly recommend this activity and Marcus as your guide!

Marcus was an excellent guide. He was very knowledgeable about the area and ensured that the hike moved at a pace everyone was comfortable with. We saw a lot of wildlife including pheasants, rabbits, and an owl on the way up Arthur's Seat. While the weather we had for the hike was the only cloudy day of our entire trip, the hike was a great way to end our vacation. I'd highly recommend the hike even without the full sunset!

I did this on the first day of my arrival. It was nice to get some steps in, wind down on top of the mountain and soak it all in. I would recommend this trip since the guide not only walks with you watches out for you, he also tells a lot about the environment, the nature and the history of Arthur’s seat. And gives you some tips for your next days. I’m very grateful!

Marcus was an incredible trail guide with lots of hiking experience. Marcus also has a vast knowledge of the areas of Edinburgh that you view while hiking to Arthur’s seat. As a solo traveler I’m very pleased with my hike with Marcus, we took a slightly longer unmarked trail due to both of our physical abilities to hike. Which resulted in constant view of the city and an amazing atmosphere, his extensive knowledge of the trails ensured I got the best views overlooking the city during the entire hike. The weather was amazing during the day of hike and had an unbelievable sunset to view. Marcus answered all of my questions about Edinburgh and was a great conversationalist during the hike. I would recommend this to any travelers that enjoy the outdoors and enjoy hiking.

Marcus was a fantastic guide and ensured we had the best experience! As a solo traveller I wanted to make sure I was safe and able to take the best route up to the summit . There was only myself and one other person booked on but Marcus still went ahead with the hike to accommodate us. Very knowledgeable about the wider area too. The views at sunset were incredible . 100% recommend!

Whilst it was grey and didn't see much views, it was so worth it, and not Marcus' fault about the weather! I struggle with anxiety but, Marcus was approachable, as well as knowledgeable which put me at ease. It was a lovely walk, and beautiful Heather scenery (even if not the views!).
Would definitely suggest some level of fitness to do this walk, and check the weather forecast before booking, however, if you are okay with this, I would highly recommend. There is also just some peace of mind with doing Arthur's Seat at sunset/in the dark, when with a guide.

Marcus is a phenomenal guide, helping navigate the best routes and the terrain. He brought walking poles and flashlights (which were very helpful for the way down, especially if it rains as it did on our tour).
It’s hard to capture how magnificent the views are throughout the entire trek, but they are.
He genuinely has a passion for the outdoors and sharing with guests; we are grateful.

I had the pleasure of being lead by Marcus who has much experience hiking around Scotland. (His IG is Mountain.Marcus) It was only me on the sunset tour and we made great time. We stopped along the way to take amazing pictures and had great conversation. On the way down, he offered me one of his hiking poles since my it does get slippery. I highly recommend doing this hiking tour. I felt safe and Marcus offered much insight into the history of the city
