Provided with incorrect information from Viator. They also committed to calling me back but never did, when I rang to seek a refund as the tour did not include what I asked for

Edinburgh was a spectacular city and its a shame that the 8-hour walking tour did not meet expectations. The guide really makes the difference and although our guide Doug was a very nice individual, it just did not work out. We had to remind him several times to slow down as one of our guests had a little trouble keeping up, additionally he would begin random conversations while we were walking where only 1 or 2 people could hear him, we had to repeatedly ask him to pause for a moment so that all people could catch up and hear his story. You are likely going to take in a couple of the local attractions like Edinburgh Castle, Mary King's Close, or the Palace, which are all private tours (where our guide did not join us), and if you add a little shopping on the Royal Mile and some lunch, that's 3-4 hours on your own. We started at 9:00am and by about 3:15pm our guide seemed to be out of places to show us, so we parted ways and went on our own...it simply seemed a little disorganized, and at $661.00 for the four of us, it definitely was not worth it. We were a little spoiled as we recently did a similar 4-hour waling tour in Dublin, where our guide knocked it out of the park! He had a specific plan, got everyone involved, very customer centric, told great stories, took great photos along the way, then provided us a link with a summary of the entire tour, the photos along with a map of the attractions we saw, all set to music. The guide makes the difference!!!
