Our King's Landing tour was one of the highlights of our trip, and our guide, Alex, made the experience absolutely unforgettable.
Alex's knowledge of the filming locations was incredible. She brought each location to life by explaining how the scenes were filmed, sharing behind-the-scenes stories, and pointing out details we would have completely missed on our own. Whether you're a devoted Game of Thrones fan or simply interested in the history and beauty of Dubrovnik, her enthusiasm and expertise make the tour fascinating from beginning to end.
One of the best decisions we made was extending our tour to include Lokrum Island. We hadn't originally planned to visit, but Alex highly recommended it, and we're so glad we listened. The island is absolutely beautiful, peaceful, and unlike anywhere else. If your schedule allows, I would recommend spending several hours there after the tour to fully enjoy the tranquility, scenic walking paths, and breathtaking views.
Alex was friendly, engaging, and passionate about sharing both the filming locations and the rich history of the area. She made everyone feel welcome and ensured we had a wonderful experience from start to finish.
If you're planning a King's Landing tour, do yourself a favor and ask for Alex. I can't imagine having a better guide. She made this an experience we'll remember for years to come!

1) It was difficult to find our tour guide. She had a balloon but nothing that said “Viatour” or Game of Thrones. Reading a pamphlet in the tourist center, where we verified we were at the right address, gave us a clue about looking for a purple balloon.
2) We did not anticipate the very steep climb and MANY steps up to the “Red Keep”. This area was under construction and without railings along much of the way. We chose to descend to the lower level to wait for our group but missed everything in “The Red Keep”.
3) Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and did a good job sharing facts and showing photos. As GOT fans, we learned a lot that we didn’t know.

Great experience with Darko providing some great insights into the making of many infamous GoT scenes . Pity the shop was closed to have a glimpse of the Iron Throne but it was a public holiday 💁🏻♂️.

The Game of Thrones tour with Davor was very informative and fun. He was extremely knowledgeable about all things Game of Thrones, in addition to all the historical facts about Dubrovnik and Croatia in general. It was obvious how much he loves his hometown, and enjoy sharing all the information with his tour. He had a great sense of humor and made it really fun for our family of six from Boston. This was an entertaining and fun tour.
David was a funny but knowledgeable guide about GOT and had pictures of the scenes from the show that we visited on the walk.
I only watched the first 1 1/2 seasons of the show and some other episodes that featured Dubrovnik and I still found it very entertaining.
I highly recommend the tour!
It is important to know that the walk is a bit strenuous due to the stairs up to and through the fort.

Great Overview of the settings in Dubrovnik from Game of Thrones! Our guide Davor (told us to call him Davos, lol) would show us a photo of a even from the show as we were standing in the spots they were filmed. He was an extra in the show and had all kinds of background info to share. Be aware you'll have to climb a lot of stairs to get to the Fort...something that was tough for people in our group who had babies and/or strollers. Great job!

Had a great tour with Davro, he was a great guide having first hand experience on GoT and several shows, had great knowledge from the GoT standpoint but also of course about the Old Town itself, and did a nice job mixing in show history with actual history. Had some great jokes as well. There are some steps to climb here and there, but our family and other families on the tour did just fine. Beautiful views, you won't regret it!

i booked this tour with viator on 17.2024 and a english guide it was a walking tour the meeting point was the tourist board just outside the city gate dead easy to find the tour was so good the guide whos name was ivan was so good that i would have paid the price just to have him take me round he new a lot and also had friends who worked on game of thones so youn find out little bits from him about the filming side i am glad i booked with viator as was a good price to pay and was far better then going it alone just for the ivans input and help the whole tour.

Helena was a fabulous tour guide, very knowledgeable and time efficient. It was a bit hot, so I suggest bringing water or a bottle to fill up In the natural spring fountains throughout the city.
