Itinerary
While your ship is docked in Dubrovnik, take this exciting and informative walking tour of one of the best preserved medieval towns in Europe. This 2-hour guided walking tour pairs you with a local guide who will regale you and your group with intriguing tales of the city’s history, showing off how special this UNESCO World Heritage-listed town is.
Start at Pile Gate, one of three ways into the Old Town, and then stop at Onofrio’s Fountain, a drinking fountain connected to a 7.5-mile (12-km) aqueduct that has, for centuries, carried drinking water into the city. Then, walk a little further and you’ll be at the Franciscan Monastery, home to one of the oldest still-functioning pharmacies in Europe. Wander around the 14th-century Gothic cloister and take in some of the art.
Continue down the Stradun, the limestone-covered main pedestrian street of Dubrovnik and pay a visit to Sponza Palace, a Renaissance-era Sponza structure that is now home to the state archives. In the main square, have a look at Orlando’s Column, the City Bell Tower, the Rector’s Palace and the Church of St Blaise. Across the square, visit the Cathedral of the Assumption, a beautiful baroque sanctuary, that was partially rebuilt after an earthquake in the 18th century.
Worry-free Shore Excursion: We will ensure your excursion ends with ample time for you to return to the Dubrovnik port for your ship’s departure. In the extremely unlikely event your ship has departed, we will arrange for transportation to the next port-of-call. If your ship is delayed and you are unable to attend this activity, your money will be refunded. See our terms and conditions for full details.

Our guide Nicolas was very informative and as we were a small group in number we could see and hear him clearly in a very busy area.
Response from Host, Oct 2022

Timely pick up, excellent explanations and the tour guide was very kind and well informed. We strongly recommend this tour.

This was the type of tour where you have to wear headphones in order to hear the tour guide because there was quite a bit of people, and she's always up ahead of the group. She gave out all the facts, but no other interesting stories or anything to keep my attention.

Great basic tour of Dubrovnik. Guide was wonderful although hard to hear because of crowds. Highly recommend this quick tour of Old Town.

Only average.not an interesting guide or tour . Better to walk and explore by yourself .

If you really like history, you would like this tour. It was a little too much for me. I would have enjoyed Dubronik just as much without the tour. It is a small town and easy to see on your own. We did the wall on our own after this tour and it was the highlight.

Very enjoyable can wholeheartedly recommend this tour.

Excellent tour and tour guide. Even in the pouring rain, we saw all the sights and the guide found places for us to shelter while she explained the sights.

The guide, Vlatka, was very knowledgeable and the tour was a lot of fun. My only suggestion would be perhaps a rest stop at a café-- it was very hot on the day of the tour and a break would have been nice.

It was fine, as good as we hoped. Very nice, cheery and informative guide (Ana I think) and it was our first experience with Viator and we will recommend Viator to others.
Meredith F, Oct 2014
Cannot review as the tour guide did not show up and have not heard back from them or Viator.

Outstanding tour of Old Town Dubrovnik with an amazing guide. While on a cruise ship stop at Dubrovnik, we decided to arrange our own tour of the Old Town instead of through the cruise line (booked the tour ahead of time). Maybe we lucked out, but instead of being in a large group navigating the tight alleyways of the old city, we, in our party of six (including two children ages 2 and 4), had a tour guide to ourselves. We were really able to dictate the pace of the tour and focus on the areas we wanted more information on. Our guide was extremely pleasant, very helpful and accomodating. Old Town was beautiful and is a "no-brainer" must do when in Croatia. Also recommend a walk along the wall that borders the old town, but I don't personally think it's necessary to do this with a guide. Audio-guides are available for a rental fee, but otherwise, "google" or "wikipedia" some info and walk the wall on your own and at your own pace. The main point for most, is enjoying the stunning views from different spots along the wall anyway.

tour guide was late but she was very good and informative when the tour started. No head sets so was hard to hear at times. Liked the small group, made it much easier to get around.
