Very friendly bus driver who was extremely skilled at maneuvering his large motor coach on the narrow roads. We were given enough time at each stop. The sheep herding experience was my favorite as the owners allowed us to interact with the sheep as well as the dogs. Would have liked some bottled water in the bus on our way back. Definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Dublin!

Fantastic experience, highly recommend! This was a great way to get out of Dublin and see other parts of Ireland with spending hours on a bus. Tour guide Michael was amazing!

Saturday Tour to Wicklow and Sheepdog training

Rebecca_S, Jun 2026
Enjoyed the tour and Bobo singing and entertaining us during the drives from place to place. loved the sheepdog activity and the demonstration they gave us, they also allowed us to pet the sheep and dog which was great. Would recommend highly to people wanting a day trip to Wicklow

Please book!

This was a great tour if you have a few free hours to go out of Dublin. Our bus driver Alec was amazing and each stop we went to was truly beautiful.

I like dogs, very impressive, the sheep are cool too

Steven_M, Jun 2026
The waterfall is very neat, gorgeous for vacation pictures, the lakes are perfect for a shirt hike, and the sheep dog demo was incredible well done, we got to pet and feed the sheep all very cool stuff

Alex was fantastic!! I loved the history he gave on the tour! The waterfall was stunning. Pictures do not do this justice. Glendalough was amazing. Beautiful. The sheep dog demo was really cool. Jonah was our person that did the demonstration. He was knowledgeable and was open to answer any questions we had. We got to pet the sheep and he also had a puppy on-site. It was an amazing day. The worst part of the day for my husband was the bus ride. He did not like the narrow, twisty roads. All in all it was a really great day and we enjoyed our adventure!!

Beautiful landscapes and our guide even took us on a side quest to see Guiness Lake. He shared a lot of information about Dublin and Ireland in general while we drove

Fun castle tour

The castle tour day trip was awesome. Richard was a great tour guide and very knowledgeable and funny to keep us entertained! It was a long day, but beautiful sites and weather.

Great day trip for all. Wicklow is beautiful, the sheep dog demo was fantastic, we learned so much on this great tour with Frank, our tour guide and bus driver.

Chill day tour with plenty of stops

jen7writer, May 2026
If you’re looking for lots of stops and not much driving, this may be the tour for you. We stopped at plenty of places over the day with a flexible driver who wouldn’t leave you behind if you were a minute late, unlike most other day tours. There was no narration from the driver most of the time, but also no spiels about tipping or leaving a review, which I appreciate it. It’s a very small bus compared to most other tours in Ireland which could be appreciated, but no power sockets inside. Some of the stops felt rushed, like the waterfall, while we had plenty of time at the settlement and the sheep farm (and didn’t have to pay to hold a baby lamb!). I think everyone had a great, chill day while seeing some great local sights. We even added in a quick photo stop at Guinness Lake which was lovely.

This tour was great....

This tour was great. Time will get away from you. The falls almost demand 100s of pictures, then the stream calls for some, add your partner and your late back to the bus. The tour guide was funny and has many historical facts to share, answers questions and feeds the experience of fun and excitement.. We loved and enjoyed the singing. Thanks for the great experience!!

Accessibility Description Could Use Work

Jasmine_T, May 2026
The tour was a good time. I did find that accessibility at the Glendalough location was a bit lacking. The actual lakes are about a 15-20 minute walk (one way) to the spots that are pictured on the listing. The cemetery & tower are closer to the drop off location (about 5 minutes). I was saddened to hear that some folks on the tour with mobility issues missed out on visiting some of the sites due to the distance of the trails/small inclines. I wish this was disclosed in the original listing.

Best tour guide!

Michelle_S, May 2026
The best time with the best tour guide Philip- he genuinely made our tour so enjoyable. He is very enthusiastic, compassionate, informative, and electric. Best time at the sheep farm. 10/10 best tour we did with my favorite tour guide to date.

Long but worthwhile day

Elena_S, Apr 2026
It was a long day but we saw so much and it was worth the time. The driver Alex did a great job on history and his insights as an Irishman. Loved all the sites but if you wanted to save some time, they do a similar trip without the Cork stop. I would likely skip that as it was just a shopping and food stop. Could have gotten back to Dublin 90 minutes earlier if we had not stopped there.

Worth it!

Tracey_C, Apr 2026
Michael was a great host and driver. He narrated just right— not too much, not too little. We started off at the waterfall and we walked around a bit. Nice weather. Then we went to the monestery and learned more things. Took lots of pics. The last stop was the sheepdog demo. Very informative and the animals there were fun to watch. Guinness the sheep was very tame and adorable. Worth the trip!

Excellent Day

Diana_S, Apr 2026
Falls are beautiful , Glendalough was very interesting, but the Sheep herding was fantastic.... Tk u Paddy for showing us your dogs & baby lambs.... great herding from your dogs...

A great 8 hour tour!

Alexis_M, Apr 2026
Flann was our bus and tour guide. I had done two full day tours prior to this experience. This was a breath of fresh air. We were able to see a lot and not take up the entire day. Flann was great and knowledgeable.

This was the perfect mix of time on the bus and time outdoors. I really enjoyed the waterfall, walking around the lakes, and seeing the sheepdog demonstration. Paddy, the shepherd, was very informative about his process of training his dogs and I enjoyed hearing about his passion for training the dogs and being a sheep farmer. Our bus driver was also wonderful and I enjoyed all the information he supplied us with along the drive and at the Monastery.

Great tour and sites!

Linds_W, Apr 2026

Post, present& Future Ireland

Rochelle_F, Apr 2026
Overall, they should know that Alec provides a depended experience by providing calculable historic and present day facts about social implications, the history of the land and its people and especially the not to miss things. Travelers should also know they may be sharing time and space with groups, children and done folks who would rather talk amongst themselves than listen.

Just book it!

Allie_H, Mar 2026
Such a great experience thanks to Richard! He was very kind and incredibly knowledgeabl during the tour, sharing many interesting facts. This short day tour is 100% worth it and peaceful, just what I needed after a busy week in Dublin. Wicklow was beautiful and sheep dogs?!?! Come on!! They were adorable.

Was a very good day but the sheep dog experience was cancelled due to the dog being sick. Our guide and driver was very knowledgeable.

Amazing

Elwira_P, Feb 2026
the trip was very well organized, professionally. Patrick, our driver and guide, spoke beautifully and comprehensively about the history and places we visited. Amazing views.

Hampered by rainy weather...

BETH_R, Dec 2025
Hampered by rainy weather not the tours fault of course, but hadn't been made aware the hotel near the monastic ruins was closed for the month so no place for a meal on the lunch stop. Otherwise Brilliant with the waterfall and sheepdog demo. Great for a step out of the city of Dublin to the countryside when you don't want a 12 hour expedition

What a great experience....

Choi_L, Nov 2025
What a great experience. The waterfall was beautiful and the national park was gorgeous. The sheepdog demonstration was a unique experience. It was great to learn from the farmers. Andre was our bus driver and tour guide, he was a delight and very knowledgeable.

Very satisfied

triciamcdermott, Nov 2025
A fantastic day trip! Our driver Andre shared lots of unique information along the way and our favorite part was the sheepdog demo from Nelson and Jonah!

In order to completely...

eagleforus, Oct 2025
In order to completely experience this tour you have to be able to walk quite a distance at the waterfall and monastery. However you could see the falls from a distance and you can pay extra to watch a 15 minute film so you don’t miss out completely. The sheepdog display was fun and you can experience all of it.
