It was a long day but we saw so much and it was worth the time. The driver Alex did a great job on history and his insights as an Irishman. Loved all the sites but if you wanted to save some time, they do a similar trip without the Cork stop. I would likely skip that as it was just a shopping and food stop. Could have gotten back to Dublin 90 minutes earlier if we had not stopped there.

An excellent day for travel. Knowledgeable driver telling us tidbits along the way. Enjoyed the 2 hour time to wander Glendalough park. Gorgeous waterfall! Sheepdog demo was great. Enjoyed holding the lambs.

Very friendly bus driver who was extremely skilled at maneuvering his large motor coach on the narrow roads. We were given enough time at each stop. The sheep herding experience was my favorite as the owners allowed us to interact with the sheep as well as the dogs. Would have liked some bottled water in the bus on our way back. Definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Dublin!

Michael was a great host and driver. He narrated just right— not too much, not too little. We started off at the waterfall and we walked around a bit. Nice weather. Then we went to the monestery and learned more things. Took lots of pics.
The last stop was the sheepdog demo. Very informative and the animals there were fun to watch. Guinness the sheep was very tame and adorable. Worth the trip!

Falls are beautiful , Glendalough was very interesting, but the Sheep herding was fantastic.... Tk u Paddy for showing us your dogs & baby lambs.... great herding from your dogs...

Flann was our bus and tour guide. I had done two full day tours prior to this experience. This was a breath of fresh air. We were able to see a lot and not take up the entire day. Flann was great and knowledgeable.

This was the perfect mix of time on the bus and time outdoors. I really enjoyed the waterfall, walking around the lakes, and seeing the sheepdog demonstration. Paddy, the shepherd, was very informative about his process of training his dogs and I enjoyed hearing about his passion for training the dogs and being a sheep farmer. Our bus driver was also wonderful and I enjoyed all the information he supplied us with along the drive and at the Monastery.

Overall, they should know that Alec provides a depended experience by providing calculable historic and present day facts about social implications, the history of the land and its people and especially the not to miss things.
Travelers should also know they may be sharing time and space with groups, children and done folks who would rather talk amongst themselves than listen.

Such a great experience thanks to Richard! He was very kind and incredibly knowledgeabl during the tour, sharing many interesting facts. This short day tour is 100% worth it and peaceful, just what I needed after a busy week in Dublin. Wicklow was beautiful and sheep dogs?!?! Come on!! They were adorable.

Great trip! Guide provided a special experience going off the beaten path. It was a small bus and felt very personal. Loved the outdoor experiences. Stunning views. Loved the sheep dog demo

Was a very good day but the sheep dog experience was cancelled due to the dog being sick. Our guide and driver was very knowledgeable.

the trip was very well organized, professionally. Patrick, our driver and guide, spoke beautifully and comprehensively about the history and places we visited.
Amazing views.

Hampered by rainy weather not the tours fault of course, but hadn't been made aware the hotel near the monastic ruins was closed for the month so no place for a meal on the lunch stop. Otherwise Brilliant with the waterfall and sheepdog demo. Great for a step out of the city of Dublin to the countryside when you don't want a 12 hour expedition

What a great experience. The waterfall was beautiful and the national park was gorgeous. The sheepdog demonstration was a unique experience. It was great to learn from the farmers. Andre was our bus driver and tour guide, he was a delight and very knowledgeable.
triciamcdermott, Nov 2025
A fantastic day trip! Our driver Andre shared lots of unique information along the way and our favorite part was the sheepdog demo from Nelson and Jonah!
eagleforus, Oct 2025
In order to completely experience this tour you have to be able to walk quite a distance at the waterfall and monastery. However you could see the falls from a distance and you can pay extra to watch a 15 minute film so you don’t miss out completely. The sheepdog display was fun and you can experience all of it.
soesani_h, Oct 2025
You shouldn’t expect much from this tour. The waterfall is decent, but if you’re looking for a longer walk, the lake is a better option. If you’ve been to Australia, the sheep demonstration there is much more engaging. They guide you through the process of putting the sheep into a cage using a dog in a small field. There’s no demonstration on how to cut the wool, buy the goodie, or purchase yarn.

This tour was perfectly designed to allow for ample time at each stop. We never felt rushed but felt like we were able to see and do a lot. Our guide was knowledgeable and made our day so memorable. It was a day full of magic!
Lisa_K, Oct 2025
Wicklow and glendalough had stunning views; the especially the waterfall. Glendalough had a medieval vibe and the cemetery was so interesting. Unfortunately the sheep dog demo was cancelled due to illness of the farmer. Very disappointed.
Deepak_P, Sep 2025
Great experience at the waterfalls and the valley!
However the sheep dog demonstration was not there as the person in charge pulled out without notice
We were a bit disappointed
Mr Frank was quite professional and a superb guide!
Kim_V, Sep 2025
This was a great tour for things to see outside of Dublin. Everything was so beautiful and the sheep dog demonstration was great as well. There was enough time at each stop to explore. Our tour guide Phillip was excellent. Highly recommend!
Paula_T, Sep 2025
The bus driver was outstanding in his driving abilities! Lots of traffic, and narrow streets but he did an amazing job getting us safely to our destinations. He was friendly , funny, and very informative. Also, loved the Sheepdog demo.

Alec is the best tour guide we've encountered - very knowledgeable, kind, informative and helpful. Thank you for the safe ride and great day and for the history, stories and information!
John (who gave the shepherding dog demonstration) also was incredible - fun, energetic, great with the animals, just a great kid!
Abbey_S, Jul 2025
Our guide, Alec, was phenomenal. Shared so much knowledge with us, and it was so interesting. The amount of time on the bus and out exploring was perfect. And the sheep herding dog part was amazing- the shepherd was so informative and friendly and the dogs were so cute!!
Kathleen_R, Jul 2025
This was a very nice, well paced, tour. The waterfall and then the walk in Glendalough provided a great escape from the city. The countryside is beautiful. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly and did a good job getting us where we needed to go. We were traveling with three grandchildren (11, 9 and 7) and they enjoyed the ability to run and explore at each stop but they probably most enjoyed the sheep dog demo! Adorable dogs, cute sheep and an entertaining dog handler - what more could you ask for?
We were happy to see that at both the waterfall and Glendalough we had ample restroom facilities and opportunities to grab something to eat. The waterfall stop even had a play area for kids which was well maintained.
Kelly_R, Jun 2025
Great day outside of Dublin. Our driver Matthew was friendly and gave us the right amount of history, folklore and information while still letting us have time to explore in our own.
Margie_S, Jun 2025
Lovely day out to the mountain and waterfall.
Sheepdog demo was cute. Tour / bus driver was pleasant and did a great job driving the bus on those narrow roads but had a bit of difficulty using the microphone and it was hard to hear him speaking
Debbie_T, Jun 2025
We all enjoyed the waterfall but the dog/ sheep show wasn’t really a show, 4 sheep , 2kids and one day in training , very unprofessional, but the worst part of the trip was watching our driver, he was not comfortable during a big bus, we spent over a half hour watching him try to maneuver a turn over a bridge while all the cars waited , nice man, just not ready for that bus and those roads
Marlene_V, May 2025
Visiting the Glendalough Ecclesiastical Settlement was surreal. The sheep dog demo was very interesting as well.
