In depth explanation of events in history leading to 1916 Easter rising. Guide was knowledgeable, engaging and connected with the group. Delivered clearly, with genuine passion for subject and even included couple of songs delivered with passion. Pre walk briefing in pub was great and set the historical context.

Very good and informative tour. Lasted around 2 hours, starting from the meetup point and ending at the GPO. Not a strenuous walk at all. Phelim was a wonderful and well-informed guide and even treated us to some songs. Great all around and would highly recommend

The premier 1916 Easter Uprising Tour in Dublin

Connor_D, Nov 2025
If you are a fan of Revolutionary Irish history, you NEED to do this tour. Our guide, Lorcan Collins, was exceptionally knowledgeable and well spoken. Throughout the tour he took time to take questions and offer insightful feedback. It was very much a conversation as well as a tour. We visited a number of places that held importance during the 1916 Easter Rising and throughout the tour you could truly tell that Lorcan was not only knowledgeable but also fiercely passionate about the history. This is what you want in a tour guide and I say again; book this tour! You will enjoy it.

Unbelievable tour. But you clowns need to quit telling people it's 2 hours when it took 3. Almost 30 people in the group was too many. Guide was a 5 the rest based above was a 3

Absolutely a must to get a feel for the History ☘️

I've done this walking tour 3 times & every time I have learned new information on history of the Rebellion. The tour guides are really informative on the History of the Rebellion

A wonderful and lively tour, with a lot of information, storytelling and even the singing of a few old rebel songs. Altogether this gives a great feel for the events of 1916, beyond just the factual details.

We've been on many walking tours and Lorcan was the best guide we've ever had. He's brilliant - hilarious, very informative, personable and has a deep and personal connection to the culture and history he's teaching. Don't miss this unique, extraordinary experience!

Fascinating history

Jessica_M, Aug 2025
This was a really interesting and informative walking tour . I learned a lot about history and being able to see the bullet holes still in the statues and pillars was a chilling experience. I left with more knowledge and more curiosity than I came in with.

Excellent value for money! Liz was a brilliant tour guide: welcoming, informed, friendly, passionate - exactly what you’d want from a tour. The walk is well-planned to take in many of the sights of the city and shows a detailed insight into the history of Dublin in a way that is fun, engaging and educational for everyone from novices to history buffs.

Excellent - a must do!

Best Tour in Dublin

Susan_D, Aug 2025
From the introductory presentation at the International Pub to the final moments at the GPO the tour was phenomenal. Our guide Fallon (sp?) was knowledgeable, engaging and passionate about our tour. A special aspect of the tour was the singing that at times illustrated sights and information.

Definitely recommend this 😊

Lilia_T, Aug 2025
The walking tour was great! Our guide was very knowledgeable and was great at handling the topic with both seriousness, but also humour at appropriate times. He also included some creative ideas such as songs, which I really enjoyed! Time flew by and you didn't even notice the time passing until it was suddenly over. Our guide connected different places and monuments with the past events, so you could get a really nice picture of what happened back then. The pacing was really good and no one got lost because our guide always kept an eye out for everybody. Thanks for all the effort! I can recommend this tour to everyone who's interested in Ireland's history.

Our guide was not only knowledgeable, but a performer with a strong, passionate voice and he sang a few songs. He looked out for the group, and was especially considerate for one person who used a walker.

The Human Face of History

Rachel_B, Jul 2025
Donal was very knowledgeable, passionate, interesting and human in telling the story of the 1916 Easter Rising. It was a story we knew but a privilege to be on the streets where history unfolded so significantly and tragically.
