Dublin city center walk-about

Our guide, Wilbur, was great. A student at Trinity College Dublin, knowledge and tailored our walk-about to things we wanted to see. He also made excellent suggestions regarding stops not on our radar.

Extremely disappointed

This tour touted a local guide to take us around the town and introduce us to Dublin and Ireland by a LOCAL tour guide. Our guide, Jose Louis, may have lived in Ireland for the past 10 years, but he was definitely not a Local. We were expecting someone who was Irish and had lived in Dublin for a long time. This took a lot from the whole “Irish” experience. He was from Uruguay, and had a very heavy accent that was difficult to understand. He didn’t really have much planned, and on a cold night in Ireland it would have been nice to have a few stops where we could warm up a bit. This tour is extremely over priced. And if you are expecting someone from Ireland to be your guide, look elsewhere.

Unforgettable experience

Cillian gave an exceptional tour. He was knowledgeable about everywhere we walked, and showed me areas in both south and north of the city. He also showed me local food and drink places that were away from the major chains. An unforgettable experience for sure.

Excellent Tour, Paddy was great, saw so much!

We had such a lovely time on our 1/2 day tour with Paddy! He was extremely knowledgeable about the history, sports, modern culture, traditions, etc. during our tour. It rained more than was forecasted and Paddy did a great job adapting our plan to keep us comfortable and allow us to see as much as possible! We felt that we covered a lot of ground and got to see so much we wouldn’t have. We requested a mix of tourist style and local visits and got exactly that. Paddy was excellent and we’d absolutely recommend him again!

We got delayed by plane and changed our tour to the next day. We waited for 20 min then called the guide. He pulled a leg muscle and could not make it. Sounded legit but he never called the hotel! We went on our own and figured it out. Hopefully we get a refund without an issue bc the tour has been charged

Dear Jeanneann12345, I am sorry to hear that your City Unscripted host didn’t show up and you had to explore the city on your own. We expect a level of professionalism from our hosts so this lack of communication is unacceptable. As this review is the only communication we received to inform us of the situation, as soon as we saw it, we looked into the situation and got in touch with the host. They told us that they had indeed pulled a muscle and informed you via email prior to the experience. However, this is not enough and they should have called you or the hotel to make sure the message was received. In addition, the host never contacted the team which would have given us the opportunity to connect you with another local in the city. I would like to reiterate how sorry I am that your experience with us turned out this way. The host received further training to make sure that similar lack of communication wouldn’t arise in the future. As you are aware, a full refund was processed right away, and I hope you’ll be willing to give us another chance in any of our 45+ cities so we can show you what a City Unscripted experience is all about!
