Our tour guide, Keelan, was great. I cannot say enough about how well my wife and I enjoyed his tour. He is a local to the area and had a depth of knowledge for the city’s history and the 1916 rising. Since my wife has difficulties walking too fast, Keelan was very patient and kept the pace slow.

Our guide was wonderful! He’s a very engaging and personable young man, and he answered all our questions. For someone so very young, he has excellent people skills and knows the subject thoroughly. I will recommend your service and him particularly to anyone we know who visits Dublin, and when we return, we will book another tour with Viator. The only hitch was that the cemetery hours were not as he expected, and it was closed by the time we got there.

Very disappointed to arrive at meeting point and being told our guide had an emergency and she was replaced by a young man who had academic knowledge but was boring. There should e excitement in a revolutionary story

Edward was super knowledgeable and friendly. It was great to see so much of Dublin, including places I would’ve never known were part of the 1916 Easter Rising. Tour went a bit longer than expected but I didn’t realize that until after we were finished. Totally worth it.

Ruairi was an excellent guide. Went above and beyond our expectations. He not only spoke about the rebellion subject matter but also pointed out many sites, little gems in the back streets, and information in the city we would never have noticed. Fantastic experience. Keelan's extensive knowledge of Dublin and Irish history really made the city come to life. Most of our group had read a fair amount about 1916 already but we still managed to learn so much more. He kept all of us engaged throughout the entire tour. Highly recommend!

Derek was great. This was an interesting and informative tour of central Dublin. I know something of Irish history and still learned a lot. My family knows nothing of Irish history and found it interesting and fun. In addition to learning about the 1916 revolt, this tour will really help you understand what you are looking at as you move throughout central Dublin. I highly recommend it.

Eamon was extremely knowledgeable on the history of this crucial time period in Irish history and took us off the beaten path in Dublin on a very rainy day to places we wouldn't have found on our own. The Rebellion came alive walking some of the streets where it happened. He's a top-notch guide. Recommend!

Derrick was a very informed guide on the Easter Rising of 1916. This is a private tour and supposed to cater to the group needs but we didn’t get to go to Kilmarnin Gaol or the cemetary as was advertised. Derrick said the itinerary was changed. We spent way too much time walking around the city for 3 hours and 4.5 miles just too look at plaques and statues. Maybe cut the time for this to be shorter and include going into a museum or go to the Gaol.

Our guide was knowledgeable and catered to our interests. I especially enjoyed the miscellaneous anecdotes and background details he provided about the locations we passed which we would never have known from a guide book. He was also good at drawing our attention to details on the buildings and explaining their significance.

This was a great tour and well worth the money! I went with my girlfriend and we had the pleasure to meet Eamon, who really is a gem on its own. Such a nice person and he told us things we would never had learn before.
Worst rain I´ve seen in a long time but Eamon made the whole thing worth it anyways. He had pictures to show us which made the experience even better and we never felt rushed or in a hurry - everything took its time and Eamon was great at letting us know how the Luas worked which helped us the next day traveling on our own.

My daughter, Ellen, and I experienced an incredible walking tour in Dublin with Eamon on the Easter Uprising on 18th March. Eamon's knowledge of detail was astounding and he really brought the whole story to life. He took us to places and sights which we would never have seen if we had tried to make the walk ourselves. I would thoroughly recommend the tour and in particular, Eamon as a guide. The overall experience was outstanding.

Eamon O’ Sullivan was just impeccable! Passionate with his work, he managed to travel us back to 1916. He has a deep knowledge of history, he is gentle, polite and patient. Our kids did not get bored at all. They kept asking questions…Eamon had an answer for everything.

As an Irishman now in my ‘vintage’ years yet only knowing bits and pieces of our country’s history and with this the 100th year since partition this tour was just the best way possible to become enlightened and now reasonably knowledgeable on the various and so historic events that took place in our capital city Dublin and elsewhere at the time of the 1916 Easter Rising. This fabulous and so enjoyable tour for me was made possible by my excellent and so friendly guide Eamon. His passion for Irish History was evident from the off and he, with enthusiasm, passed on to me his extreme wealth of knowledge of all of the significant events that occurred at that time but also included some little known about (and so not to be found in the history books) events which were equally as important or relevant.
With the weather being dry too, the whole day was excellent as we walked from one area or building steeped in Irish history to the next.
So well done Viator for being able to provide such an excellent and now currently so relevant a tour in Dublin and thank you so very much Eamon for making that day a day that I’ll never forget.
I can’t say this too emphatically but to those who love Ireland and it’s people, please do find the time and book this Dublin Easter Rising 1916 Tour ASAP. You’ll be so glad that you did as you will really enjoy it and particularly if you too get Eamon as your guide👏🏻👌🇮🇪👍

Eamon was great at communicating with us a few times up to the day of the tour.
Once on the tour, he was very well prepared and well versed in everything on the history of Dublin. We asked a few off beat questions and he was able to easily answer them. Definitely recommend the private tour with Eamon!!
