A wonderful experience! The party started once we got on the boat and even as we were walking with our guide, we felt very safe with him, he spoke more than three languages and gave different tourists the rundown each in their native tongue. Impressive. Pics were expensive but worth it. We did not get a chance to eat breakfast and were very hungry by lunchtime. BUT now we know to pack snacks next time. Definitely will be booking again!

It was a fun day, but lots of transportation and not enough time on the island. We knew there would be a long car ride and long boat rides, which was fine other than the small car they squished us in for the ride to the pier from Santo Domingo. We were shoulder to shoulder for two hours each way. The island is beautiful and the natural pool is cool. As long as you know it is going to be a long day and like rum and coke, you will have a fun time.

Please read to understand why this is not worth the price (note, my friend later found the same trip for about $30 less). We were asked to meet early (~6:30am!), but then had to wait around for other people. Once we arrived to the departure spot, we were taken to a colmado, which is similar to a small town convenience store, for breakfast. We were rushed by our guide and didn't have time to eat a proper breakfast. You're then taken from the shore in a crowded boat to the catamaran that's also crowded and has zero service on the actual vessel. The boat staff walked around offering rum and coke or 7-up. The only non-alcoholic beverage is water from a cheap jug. Once on the island, they offer food buffet style. The food was okay, but you're limited on the time you're able to eat. On the island, you also get hard liquor (rum), coke, 7-up, and water from a jug. There are also vendors sell $5 coconut water or $10 pina colada. Overall, not worth what you pay. Please consider other services.

It was great they had a trip from Santo Domingo as most of the guests were from other areas of Dominican Republic. Communication was fantastic from the trip organizer/trip company, van driver was excellent and trip was inclusive to all types of people from many different backgrounds. Everyone had a fun time and endless rum kept people dancing/entertained for hours.
Beware of:
Massage offerings on Saona Island were very over priced and a rip-off. Avoid.

It was a wonderful experience.. I meet a lot of news friends even i went there alone and enjoy so much my time there.. the guide speaks multiple languages so it was easy to not be lost.. the music was nice and the lunch too. The island was really beautiful a real small paradise 😍. Just the negative thing just before the trip it will be good a better organisation but the rest was nice.

Sanoma is a beautiful island. My partner and I, met with 2 other ladies from the states. We were picked up at the designated location at 715am in SD for a 2 hour car ride to Punta Cana and back. it was so early we didn’t get a chance to have breakfast & none is provided so bring plenty of your own snacks and alcohol. Needles to say We were hungry for the entire 14 hour day. We get there and it’s so unorganized, no one speaks English or barely speaks English. Thank goodness I know some Spanish and my app helps for what I don’t know. Lunch is a bland appetizer w/no seasoning. They don’t temp control the food, cold items were not on ice and served warm or as hot as the temp outside. Take your own pics, cause they over charge just to air drop the pics, and each guy gives different pricing. They don’t mix the music to accommodate everyone. I have experienced better in other countries.

This was a great excursion! The pick up from the hotel in Santo Domingo was very reliable, driver around before 7:30 a.m. The transportation van was clean, comfortable and with great AC. Ah and good music:)
I truly enjoyed visiting the natural swimming pool and Saona. I will go again, and again. I strongly recommend this tour, just wear lots of sun protection and a hat.

The tour was fantastic. Loved the stop at the sand bar for a little swim and drinks. The people were super Friendly. Once we arrived at the Saona Island was like being in paradise. My only complaint is not a lot of options for the buffet. They only had salad, bread, rice, grilled chicken, and fish in a coconut sauce. Maybe they should include regular fried fish as a second seafood option. And of course another option if you didn't want rice. Everything else was perfect. We got picked up on time and driver was waiting for us by the time we got back.

We had a wonderful time at La Saona island. The boats were clean and ran well. The people were very kind and fun. The only thing I would consider a negative is that they say "all you can drink" but they ran out of beer one hour after we arrived. They had hard liquor, but they ran out of beer. I don’t drink hard liquor.

The worst parts of the tour were coming and going to the island. The initial driver that picked us up was great. Getting on the boat, you board with no shoes of any kind being allowed, so you board with wet, slick feet. My right foot slipped and smashed into a round metallic pole. Not fun. Three weeks later, finally no pain in the old foot when pressure is applied. Yay! Then there was the line dancing, whereby my toes were stepped on at least a half a dozen times without any signs of remorse. Let's lighten the mood. The island was beautiful!!!! As you approach, I'd swear it looks like the opening credits to Gilligan's Island. LOVE IT!!!! Nice sand, walkable beach, gorgeous blue skies with the coconut palms overhead. Lovely place to spend some time. Don't hesitate to go. Now for on the way back...Many of us were, with great consistency, being sprayed in the face with the questionable sea water due to how fast we were going perhaps? Not pleasant at all. But the people running the tour certainly did their jobs well and everthing was on time. Isla Saona is a living postcard. Go getcha some. Peace and safe travels, my friends.

My wife and I went on this excursion and it was the best part of our trip to DR to celebrate our anniversary! We visited Santo Domingo for 5 days and if our trip only consisted of this day alone it would’ve been worth it. The boat ride out to the “Natural Pool”, arriving on Saona Island to relax, the food and drinks on the island, and the ride on the catamaran back to where we started was one of our best experiences ever! We can’t wait to visit again and bring more friends and family! Well done!!

¡La experiencia fue increíble, tal como está descrita! El catamarán fue sumamente divertido, la playa es preciosa, el almuerzo estuvo muy bien y el open bar realmente se mantiene durante toda la actividad.
La única razón por la que no doy una calificación de 5/5 es por la falta de comunicación. Después de comprar el tour, no recibí ninguna confirmación. Por precaución, menos de 24 horas antes logré contactarlos por Instagram, donde me proporcionaron un número de WhatsApp. Fue recién entonces que obtuve la confirmación.
Además, aunque al momento de reservar decía que podían recogerme en mi hotel, luego me informaron que debía presentarme en un punto general en la Zona Colonial. No tengo problema con eso, ya que era un punto estratégico, pero si no hubiera sido proactiva, probablemente habría perdido el tour. Según la reserva, la recogida sería a las 7:00 a.m., pero en realidad debía estar en el punto de encuentro a las 6:00 a.m.

Hola, empezaré diciendo que si son súper puntuales en todo momento, lo único que yo mejoraría sería el tema de la comida ya que fue poca y de muy poca variedad, el pollo estaba un poco crudo
Sobre las bebidas, fueron muy escasas, el ron si se notaba que era del más económico y las cerveza súper limitada ( solo una hora).
Por la experiencia del viaje muy lindo todo, son unas playas increíbles.

Me encanto el tour completo, pasan por ti a tu hotel y el servicio es muy bueno, desde Santo Domingo fuimos solo 3 personas lo cual fue muy cómodo pero al llegar al puerto, se unen varios grupos y terminan siendo unas 60/80 personas, lo cual no está mal porque en el catamarán hay suficiente espacio pero no es recomendable para aquellos que quieren algo más "privado" por otro lado en el catamarán todo es una fiesta a TODO VOLUMEN, por lo que los niños pequeños la pasan muy mal porque si hay mucho ruido, para el resto es una gran fiesta porque bailan y tienen una animadora y musica a todo volumen y todo esta muy divertido por lo que se vuelve una experiencia divertida. La piscina natural es demasiado hermosa, con estrellas de mar y marea tranquila y la Isla Saona es bellisima, (aunque también colocan música y no es un ambiente tan relajado) todo es alegría y fiesta, Lo unico malo es que la verdad la comida es terrible, no es nada apetitosa pero es lo que se te ofrece y el alcohol que te dan es solo Ron y una marca nacional por lo que les recomiendo tomen precauciones y no tomen tanto. Lo último es que tal vez recomendaria colocar un tipo de música más variado porque todo el viaje es 97% Dembow (musica local tipo reggaeton) y el otro 3% canciones más conocidas (Meregue, Pop, etc).
