We joined this 7-Day tour starting July 6, 2025 (three travelers: myself, my sister, and my cousin). Our coordinator was Yamille from Chullos Travel Peru. Unfortunately, the experience did not meet expectations. Pros: • Smooth pickup and drop-off at Cusco airport • Convenient hotel locations • Generally responsive communication Cons: • Tour vehicles were not always air-conditioned, and Cusco can get very hot. • Daily plans were not provided in advance — instructions often came last minute, making it hard to prepare. • On the City Tour, the guide arrived 30 minutes earlier than agreed; we missed the pickup and had to find the group ourselves. • Hotels had serious issues despite good locations: • Machu Picchu hotel resisted providing toiletries; the toilet wouldn’t flush and took hours to fix. • Cusco hotel had construction and no running water for over 2 hours after a long excursion day. Returning without access to a bathroom or shower was unacceptable. • Train tickets were booked poorly — we were separated across different cars instead of sitting together. • Communication breakdowns: • Salt Mine tickets were included but not communicated to the guide, who asked us to pay again. • Due to the Cusco hotel’s water outage, we skipped the Humantay Lake tour. Yamille promised a $60 refund but never issued it, despite repeated follow-ups. Worse, she did not notify the guide, who came to our hotel door and kept calling. Additional Notes: • The itinerary should be adjusted — placing Rainbow Mountain immediately before Humantay Lake makes two extremely difficult back-to-back days. • Rainbow Mountain is not worth the effort, in our opinion. • Machu Picchu was the highlight and absolutely worth it. Overall: At $810 per person, we expected a seamless and stress-free experience. Unfortunately, poor planning, hotel choices, and especially Yamille’s lack of communication with tour guides and failure to refund left us very disappointed. We cannot recommend this package.

Booking this tour was such a great idea! We visited all the classic sites in the Cusco area, and didn't have to lift a finger to plan. We had a bit of a mix-up on the first day, where we had to hit the ground running immediately and skip our lunch reservation when the travel agent told us we were leaving 1 hour earlier than expected. However, after that, our agent was very communicative. Each night, she contacted us to ask us about how our day went and to give us the information about the next day. She would send us any transportation and entrance tickets we might need, which were all included in the price of the tour. All the included lunches were great, and the hotels we stayed at were very nice, quiet, and clean. All of our tour guides and drivers were incredibly friendly. One last thing to note is that each day was a different group of people on the tour. Overall, buying this package is definitely worth it.

Overall it was a very memorable trip to Peru. You saw the main sights and had plenty of free time to explore on your own. This is a strenuous trip with hiking, long walks, and early mornings. Well worth it!

This was a great way to see many fantastic sites. Our tour guides were excellent. The ease of getting our tickets and detailed itinerary the day before the scheduled event was definitely a plus. I would highly recommend this travel group as they were extremely professional and knowledgeable. We did have a couple small bumps in the road/ plan that were not ideal but overall this was a great experience. This itinerary may not be for everyone but there are many accommodations along the way. Rainbow Mountain and Humantay Lake were by far the hardest days but so worth it!! Just go with a great “I can do it” attitude.

Tour From Hell

DO NOT Book this trip. This was a trip from hell. The Chullos tour do not care about your safety or honor their agreement. You will be placed in a dirty hotel, they will not communicate with you, they will leave you in the middle of Peru to find your way to the hotel, they will abandon you on the day of your tour, if you book this tour you will regret it. All they care about if collecting your money after that you are on your own in a strange country with no help. Book at your own risk. Don’t even look at the reviews to guide your choice it’s all lies.

We emphasize that you asked us to change hotels the first day and we did, it should be noted that this excursion includes a 3-star hotel and you asked for it to be 4 stars and we told you that you had to increase which you did not want the only problem that we had is from the hotel and for you to say that we abandoned our passengers is a lie since our customer service staff is attentive to calls. We are sorry for your bad experience and we will try to change the hotels.

100% recommend! Our flights to Cusco got cancelled for 30 hours the day we took off. Chullo’s representative Milena called me and gave my husband and I three different options on how we wanted our tour to go when we arrived. She was really kind and helpful even though we a little stressed about our situation. Overall, a wonderful experience in Peru, worth the early morning wake ups. Out your guide in Machu Picchu Andre Anaya was the best. Our hotel was less than a block from the Plaza de Armas which made it easy to walk around during our free time. We are ready to go back and book with Chullos again! Very quick response rate on what’s app and they even coordinated our Covid tests for us to go back home.
