Interesting journey. I enjoyed especially the White Palace is very recommendable. Nonetheless it is an extreme long journey lasting 16 hours, so long time on the roads and not for everybody.

Our guid Kathi was wonderful! The sites for this tour were very interesting for both my 11 yr old son and myself. It was a very long day, but we were well taken cared of! She even bought my son an ice cream because I lost my cc!

This is a really long day! But you get to see some really cool things in a short period of time. It is a lot of driving. We stopped at a hot spring/rest stop on the way and then went to the Karen village- mostly shopping after a short discussion. Then off to lunch and the White and Blue Temples and the Black Museum before doing a short boat trip on the Golden Triangle. The temples were beautiful and interesting and the museum was very unique! It was about a 14 hour trip about 3 hours each way and don’t plan for something early the next morning!

The guide and the driver were great but in my opinion, it’s not worth it to drive all day to see 2 new temples. Is like going to Disney. The white temple is not even an active temple. Is just an artist exhibit

We had a great time on this tour but is not for everyone. You will be riding from site to site and will be in the car for more time than touring. When you get to a site you will not have a long time to enjoy, typically 30 to 40 minutes. The trip is great for those that want to see all the highlights of Chiang Rai. There are six stops and lunch. The hot spring could have been skipped. All the other sites are great. I would have liked to spend more time at each but this tour is a great option for those that wish to take in northern Thailand in one day.

The itinerary for this trip covered all the areas we wanted to see in Chiang Rai. Albeit, controversial we were grateful to visit the Longneck Karen Village. Could have done without the Hot Springs stop. Good for bathroom break and 7-eleven. The driver was excellent and very safe. Tour guide was kind, but really did not go in depth on the tour. Lunch was the worst part. Food was tasteless which is not the norm in Thailand. Lots of tourists at the restaurant and was overcrowded. Please consider changing the lunch location for this tour. My four rating is primarily due to safety of the driver and itinerary. I probably could give this a 3.

This tour was incredible! Visiting the Long neck tribe and learning about the culture, then visiting the temples, and later the golden triangle was a fascinating and unforgettable experience. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly and energetic, making the day seamless and enjoyable. This was a unique cultural experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking to explore chiang Rai’s temples, long neck village, and the golden triangle!

I don’t understand why this tour has mixed feedback - it's been AWESOME! The guide was incredibly knowledgeable and we saw everything worth seeing in Chiang Rai. The price was also very reasonable, so I highly recommend it!

The most memorable was the travel time. Although I’m glad to still get the tour since the three temples was something different from the previous temples I have visited. I guess the travel time is a part of the experience to embrace. The tour guide was very considerate to our needs.

Despite a long 14 hour day, with more than 500 km roundtrip, there is lots to see. Great day for the highlights around Chiang Rai: Different "arty" style temples, "long neck" tribe village and the Golden Triangle. Good tour to get snapshot impressions, not enough time to see the details.

Too long of a day driving up and back from Chiang Mai - 13+ hours- too much time in the van with very short stops. Better to base in Chiang Rai to see these sights.
Black House museum not that interesting- would have preferred skipping it and having more time on the Mekong River, instead of "out of the van, into the boat, back in the van" with no time to a actually look around. Long neck village visit felt a little contrived and sad.

A very nice guide but the program is too much for a day.. we had to speed up at everything and we came back late around 11pm at Chiang Mai. A very long day. The places we visited are nice

The tour is very long and a small mistake can derailed the whole tour. One small mistake was that the tour guide picked up the wrong people from the hotel and only realized it after driving for 45 mins away from the city. So we dropped off the people at some gas station and drove into town during rush to pickup the right people. As a result, we arrived at white temple around 12:30, where half of the temple was closed for lunch break and rushed out in 30 mins to eat. The tour guide spoke barely any english and provided alittle or nothing as information for all locations however the driver was phenomenal. He did awesome trying to rectify her mistake and was a good driver. I would honestly recommend booking individual tour to white and blue temple only. Everything else is not worth seeing. The hot spring (extremely hot) was a gas station pit stop where hot spring was used to cook egg and vegetables. I wouldn't recommend this tour.

While overall it was a good day and we ended up essentially being able to see all we were intended to see, there was an unfortunate problem in the morning caused by two people who somehow wound up on the wrong tour and we had to make unusual arrangements to oust them but this caused us to lose valuable time. The tour operator person tried to do her best to overcome the situation but I’m not sure how that can happen with proper verification techniques in place. It would have been a little better if the English was a bit more proficient but she still did a respectable job overall.

We didn't have a good experience. Our guide (Mr. Pom) didn't speak basic English, we had a lot of difficulty understanding him, in addition to the fact that he didn't seem to make an effort to explain the local history and culture. We asked questions and didn't get answers. The guide also did not accompany us to the first temple. After receiving feedback from us saying that it was difficult to follow the visit without a guide, he accompanied the group to the second temple, but did not provide us with further explanations. Regarding the duration of the tour, we left the hotel at 7am and returned at 10pm. The journey is long.

The tour was great and I enjoyed everything we saw, but the day was way too long. I don’t think the Golden Triangle boat ride was as necessary. The water was pretty gross and really not that spectacular.

This tour was amazing! It is a very long day but worth every penny. Zuzy was very knowledgeable and gave clear instructions that made everything go smoothly. The temples are stunning and a must see in my opinion. They were designed and built by Thai artists and it is just phenomenal. The golden triangle boat ride was fun with music played. A must do!

This tour was everything I had hoped to avoid. The first tour I booked included the Blue Temple and Black Museum and many reviews complained about how lengthy the tour was. I changed to this tour that had an itinerary better suited to my interests and was not 14 hours long. After we had been picked up at 7AM and were headed north with the other 4 participants, our tour guide Qwan told us our itinerary which was pretty much the one I had cancelled. The rest of my review should not in any way reflect badly on Qwan. She was wonderful.
The hot spring admission turned out to be in a gas station where you could buy an egg and watch it boil. At this point I contacted the tour operator to inform that the tour we were on was not the one I booked.
The White Temple was beautiful and time was well spent there. The Blue temple was "meh" and the Black Museum didn't interest me at all. In the United States we would call them "tourist traps". At the Black Museum Qwan had been made aware of my my message and asked me to show her my itinerary. She told me the Temple of the Golden Mountain and Doi Pui Mong Hill Tribe Village were in Chiang Mai Province and it would have been impossible to have them on a Chiang Rai province tour.
On to the Karen Long Neck Village. Qwan was really enthusiastic about explaining the Long Neck Karen people and their self imposed exile from Myanmar. I would have liked to stay there longer but apparently we had a boat to catch at the Golden Triangle. That part of the tour is a complete waste of time. Additional drive time for a very big nothing. Nothing to see there. I didn't travel to Thailand to hear about how a Chinese businessman leased land from Laos to build a casino complex. Boring.
We were finally dropped back at our hotel at 9:30 PM. That's right. 14-1/2 hours. Much too long.
I don't know where the disconnect came from. Not enough people booked the tour I booked so I was arbitrarily switched to another tour or what. Either way simply too much to cram into a one day tour.

The White Temple and the Blue Temple are stunning. The Black Museum was interesting, if a bit macabre. The village with the long neck ladies was also interesting, to hear how and why they do it. The boat ride was pleasant, nice to see the giant Buddha there. Overall a very interesting day!

The tour was def long. Left at 0700 and got home at 9:30 pm. It was a good trip. The only thing i was disappointed in is when we arrived at
The long neck tribe. It was very rushed and i felt so bad for the people. I would have liked to have sat down and had a chat and gotten to understand them. I felt like we jsut went in took pictures and bought stuff they hand made and left. I would have liked to have had longer time with them. They were so beautiful and nice. The temples were cool very unique. The boat ride could have been shorter to give more time to the tribe.
Food was delicious. Tour guides were good.

Tour listed as 6-8 hrs. Actual time was 15hrs. We had a light lunch mid day and only stopped at 7-11 for 15mins on the 4hr trip home. Had to choose between bathroom and finding food. Very long day. For that long of a day, would have been better in a bus instead of a van. Our guide was friendly and helpful. It was my first group style tour so i can't compare but it felt more rushed than i would have preferred.

The white temple was AMAZING!!! Tour was great and so was the guide. Looooooong day! About 14-15 hours so plan on that. Bring snacks and maybe a neck pillow. The long neck tribe was really cool to see as well.
