Today was such a fun tour. The service we had was perfect. The entire experience from visiting the produce market, the organic farm, and then learning how to cook three courses was spectacular. Our chef/guide, Lilli, was full of energy and commitment. She made the experience so memorable. I highly recommend this to anyone in the area who loves Thai food and wants to have their own souvenir to take home (learning how to make the amazing food).

What a great experience to learn how to make several traditional Thai dishes in a relaxing and fun environment
Fantastically fun experience. Our leader Natty was an expert educator with a great sense of humor. I have life threatening allergies to common Thai ingredients. Natty was keenly aware and made sure everything was safe and delicious for me. Highly recommend this experience!!!
An amazing Thai cooking class at a beautiful organic farm in the outskirts of Chiang Mai. A wonderful experience from start to finish. Our guide (and chef) Luna was out of this world. I would give this activity 6 stars if it was possible. Highly recommended !
Highly recommend! I did the morning class, and hotel pickup was smooth and easy. We started our day by visiting local market and learning about Thai ingredients. Then they took us to the cooking school and farm. Our instructor Lily was very friendly, helpful, and funny. The cooking process was relaxing yet efficient and everything is basically pre portioned so it’s hard to go wrong. The half class has a stir fry, curry, and soup so come hungry! Very good value for the experience, don’t miss out.
A must do cooking class. Excellent people, great tour of the market and wonderful explanation of the Thai cuisine. Lots of good fun and cooking. Highly recommend
Great fun experience. I enjoyed the cooking portion. The meal was delicious any the tour guides were great
This was one of our favorite activities. Our guide/teacher Lizzy was sooo funny and sweet. We learned about the herbs and vegetables in the garden, chose our own dishes to make which is nice because I’m vegetarian and my partner is not, smashed up our own curries, and ate our meals with people from literally around the world, and genuinely had a great time.
Excellent experience Our chef was Lily and she was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was very informative, obviously enjoys what she does and made sure everyone had a great time. She even went out of her way to take great pictures of everyone. Highly recommend
even if you dont like cooking this will change your mind, picked up from hotel, driven by the wonderful natty and her partner. She takes us to a local market and shows us all the ingredients we might use. On the way to the farm you choose what you would like to cook. All the dishes are cooked from scratch and she takes you through each dish step by step. I cooked chicken massaman curry (best i have ever had) and shrimp tom yung goong, hope spelling is ok lol, spring rolls were made by everyone, all the food was superb and brilliantly explained by natty, Weather doesnt matter because you are in a huge covered kitchen so you can go if its raining which it was. All in all a fabulous way to spend the day and great value. Thanks to natty and her team.
Lizzy our cooking guide was fantastic! she was funny and easy to follow along with. great class. the farm ingredients were grown at fresh at the school.
Expertly orchestrated experience from start to finish. Lily was our teacher and she was truly a joy to learn from. The tour consists of: a small market visit, an orientation in the grounds' herb garden, and a cooking class. Highly recommend!
A fun outing that takes you through the backstreets of the old town, with stops at notable temples, the old city wall, and a food market. You’ll pass dozens of cafés and small shops. The guide was friendly, safety conscious, and knowledgeable about the sites we visited. I took the morning tour and it got hotter as the morning progressed. We had some shade and cloud cover throughout the ride, which was nice. The mountain bikes are in good shape, and the tour also provided a helmet and water bottle. Wear long sleeves or sunscreen. I wore a sun hat under the helmet which provided extra coverage which I needed!
Great way to learn more about Thai food and how to cook it. Our guide, Love, was knowledgeable and patient.
Very well organized. Learned so much about Thai cooking. Nattie made it fun while we were cooking. Our food was delicious. Great excursion
Our cooking class experience with Natalie was so much fun! Natalie is an incredibly energetic and hilarious chef who carefully made sure everything we made tasted and looked amazing. The class is done in a small group which is also perfect for meeting people and bonding over the food (and mistakes). 10/10 experience and absolutely recommend!
We were picked up promptly at our hotel by Natty, our instructor for the day. After a market stop, we went to the farm where they had a wonderful set-up to teach, individual stations under roof. Natty took us thru their plant area and then we cooked! Eight people in our group so it was easy for her to show individuals who needed help. We liked the morning instruction so much, we stayed and paid a bit extra to get all day class! Natty sent us pictures they took and the link for the recipes.
Absolutely loved everything. First of all, Lilly our chef is super fun and she was excellent. Loved her energy and I asked her all kinds of questions when we went to the market because I wanted to buy ingredients to take back home.
I had the shrimp option and for stock I picked veggie stock.
By the end of the half day we were all already so exhausted so I can’t imagine doing the full day.
Highly recommend!
We had a great time! All the accommodations and the location were great. We enjoyed the menus options as well.
The experience was great from the time they picked me up to drop off at my hotel. Stopping at the market to shop was fun and I was able to pick up some spices to bring home. The cooking instructor was funny and did a great job getting everyone involved and accommodated people with allergies. Everything was so good and I learned a lot. My favorite was the Khao Soi.
Absolutely amazing. Lizzy was an amazing host. She was knowledgeable. Fun. Super engaged. I would recommend this class to anyone. Would do again if I return for sure.
Excellent value, really interesting and great fun. Our host, Lilly was fantastic, very knowledgeable and made things fun. From the trip to the market to going round the garden looking at all the different plants etc it was great. The meals we cooked were perfect, although there is a lot and a big choice of dishes to cook. At the end you are sent the recipes and lots of photos of your day with your friends. Excellent value, highly recommended
This was a fabulous day from beginning to end.
The instructor was fabulous. The organic farm was interesting and the food was beyond amazing.
We had a great chef and K was much fun. He is very knowledgeable and conducted a comprehensive and informative class. I loved his garden. Our meals were delicious. Met wonderful travelers.
We really enjoyed everything, but did not realize that the half-day class does not include a salad or dessert. If that were more clear when we were signing up, it would be a 5/5. But all the food we made was fantastic, and we loved our instructor, Natty, who was so patient and helpful with everyone.
This class was the highlight of our trip. Natty was so much fun and shared so many Thai cooking secrets. The food was amazing and plentiful. I especially enjoyed the tour of the garden and market. Now we know what to buy back home.
So much fun!! Natalie was so knowledge and made the experience delightful. I would advise that you only have a light breakfast, because we are a lot. The Smile organic farm is a well run machine and it seems that they have thought of everything. We liked seeing the ingredients in the farm before we cooked. Natalie made sure our food would turn out good by being clear and assertive in a way that made us all laugh. The food was delicious, but unfortunately we were too full to finish the food.
Go hungry!!
We were sooo full. Great choices, we both made different dishes. I made Pad Thai with shrimp (chicken was the other option) 2 soups. Our chef Lizzy was fun, funny and informative from the garden to the wok. We took leftovers with us. Packed in plastic baggies. 😁
Chef Natalie was absolutely wonderful. I am gluten-free and she went above and beyond to make sure I was aware of what to not use. She was fun, energetic, informative, and so lovely. I cannot recommend this enough!!!! The transfer service from hotels was wonderful too. So fast and efficient
We were the first picked up and lat drop[ed off, so in the van for a while. Once there the place is well set up and lizzy was great. Easy to follow. You eat your own cooking and someone is cleaning up after you. Would recommend this trip.
My husband, father in law, his girlfriend, and I all really enjoyed this experience! It was well organized and easy to follow along even when people are cooking different meals. You choose your own menu and customize if you have allergies or dietary preferences.
Visiting the market and trying herbs from the garden was a nice touch. K has a great sense of humor and was a fun cooking instructor!
