Today was such a fun tour. The service we had was perfect. The entire experience from visiting the produce market, the organic farm, and then learning how to cook three courses was spectacular. Our chef/guide, Lilli, was full of energy and commitment. She made the experience so memorable. I highly recommend this to anyone in the area who loves Thai food and wants to have their own souvenir to take home (learning how to make the amazing food).

We had a great chef and K was much fun. He is very knowledgeable and conducted a comprehensive and informative class. I loved his garden. Our meals were delicious. Met wonderful travelers.

We really enjoyed everything, but did not realize that the half-day class does not include a salad or dessert. If that were more clear when we were signing up, it would be a 5/5. But all the food we made was fantastic, and we loved our instructor, Natty, who was so patient and helpful with everyone.

This class was the highlight of our trip. Natty was so much fun and shared so many Thai cooking secrets. The food was amazing and plentiful. I especially enjoyed the tour of the garden and market. Now we know what to buy back home.

So much fun!! Natalie was so knowledge and made the experience delightful. I would advise that you only have a light breakfast, because we are a lot. The Smile organic farm is a well run machine and it seems that they have thought of everything. We liked seeing the ingredients in the farm before we cooked. Natalie made sure our food would turn out good by being clear and assertive in a way that made us all laugh. The food was delicious, but unfortunately we were too full to finish the food.

Go hungry!!
We were sooo full. Great choices, we both made different dishes. I made Pad Thai with shrimp (chicken was the other option) 2 soups. Our chef Lizzy was fun, funny and informative from the garden to the wok. We took leftovers with us. Packed in plastic baggies. 😁

Chef Natalie was absolutely wonderful. I am gluten-free and she went above and beyond to make sure I was aware of what to not use. She was fun, energetic, informative, and so lovely. I cannot recommend this enough!!!! The transfer service from hotels was wonderful too. So fast and efficient

Had a wonderful experience. Everything they mention as being included in this course, we did. It was truly interesting learning about the different ingredients that go into Thai cooking and Lizzy, our tour guidechef, made the entire experience so much fun. I think we were the last on the list to be picked up, but that wasn't an issue as the team kept us informed (via WhatsApp) when they would arrive. The only negative was that I couldn't eat all the food I made. My only recommendation is to make sure you go there with a big appetite, because the food is so good you'll want to try it all.

We were the first picked up and lat drop[ed off, so in the van for a while. Once there the place is well set up and lizzy was great. Easy to follow. You eat your own cooking and someone is cleaning up after you. Would recommend this trip.

My husband, father in law, his girlfriend, and I all really enjoyed this experience! It was well organized and easy to follow along even when people are cooking different meals. You choose your own menu and customize if you have allergies or dietary preferences.
Visiting the market and trying herbs from the garden was a nice touch. K has a great sense of humor and was a fun cooking instructor!

Natalie was very fun and the food was great! She organised everything for us and we didn’t have to worry about anything

Fantastic class! Cici, our instructor, was amazing. Best of all, the food was delicious. Would highly recommend.

We had a fantastic day with Luna. We were promptly picked up from our resort and went to a near by market where we learned what ingredients we would be cooking with. We had some time to shop around before heading off to the cooking school. Luna was very informative and made the entire experience lots of fun. We cooked 3 courses and made our own curry from scratch. All the ingredients were fresh and the food was absolutely delicious. Thank you!

So well organized and delicious! Really great way to spend a day. Loved the garden. Would definitely recommend.

Cici was great. Learned about which herbs are used for what and what is changed or added to make it something different.

I highly recommend doing a cooking class at one of the local farms in Chiang Mai. Lizzy was our tour guide and chef at Smile Organic Farms. She was very energetic and made the entire experience very fun! I loved learning how to make curry, the cooking techniques and of course the eating! Our food was delicious!

Amazing food and great teacher. Very entertaining. Fresh ingredients and taste amazing. All preferences catered for. Would definitely recommend.
Hoang_B, Feb 2026
The experience was great. Natty was our instructor and she made it fun for the entire group. The cooking was broken down to simple steps that anyone can do. We were given recipes to all the dishes online at the end of the class. Foods tasted good and there was a lot to eat. We highly recommend this class.

Highly recommend! The class is so well organized and K, the instructor, is very engaging and funny. Of all the tour guides I’ve had in Thailand, his English was the best. You make several dishes of your own choosing and it’s so much food, you will not leave hungry. In fact you may leave with leftovers. The food was delicious too! The best in my opinion was the Penang curry. Also shoutout to the driver who was able to maneuver around some crazy narrow alleys as he was picking up everyone for the experience. It’s so convenient that they pick you up and they drop you off. All in all, it was an excellent way to spend an evening in Chiang Mai.

This was absolutely worth every penny (which wasn't much!) The cooking class was an absolutely wonderful experience! Chef Love was funny AND a great teacher. I have never been able to make good fried rice before, but now I can!! He was patient, spoke English VERY well, and taught us a lot in a short time. The food we made was phenomenal, and I was so pleased with how everything turned out. But the absolute best part was the surprise at the end: we got access to a digital cookbook that gave us the recipes for all the dishes we made or could have made! In case you're worried, any dish can be altered to fit any dietary restrictions, which was great!
Vasileios_O, Feb 2026
Everything was great. Transportation without any issue, our instructor was speaking fluent english and was explaining everything very well. The group vibe was also good and everyone was satisfied with their own dishes. I felt like taking part in Master Chef. Maybe it would be great as an idea, to try other individuals dishes and give them a rating. Farm was also a great place to visit with their own garden. Definitely something to do if you are into cooking and want to learn a few things about Thai food.
Jimmy_M, Feb 2026
A fun-filled evening that concluded with me somehow making dishes that tasted as good as the local restaurants! The recipes are provided for future use. The class also includes a tour of the garden to learn about the herbs and spices used. Our guide, Natalie, was full of energy and lots of fun. Highly recommend!

Great experience! It seemed a little canned when we drove to the market with all the other vans, but once we were at the farm, our experience was excellent!
Luna was fantastic as our leader and head chef. Items were prepped for us but we were hands on with all the cooking. Instructions were clear and food turned out well!

Fabulous - Excellent excursion
We came as a couple and our couple friends joined us so 4 of us. We all enjoyed it thoroughly.
Lili was so good, efficient, clear and funny! The food was super tasty so come hungry!
Next time will do full day so we can learn to do the salad and dessert
Susan_F, Feb 2026
My family (4 adults) really enjoyed the class and had a lot of fun. Unfortunately, in the middle of the night we all fell violently ill with food poisoning. For the next 36+ hours none of us could leave our rooms. I contacted our contact at Smile Organic Farm to inform them in case others also fell ill, and so they would hopefully improve their food sanitary processes. Their response was 'sorry to hear that, please call us if you would like to discuss further'. I had expected they would at a minimum state that they would review their food handling procedures, they didn't. There were several of us in the group, I do not doubt the others also fell violently ill.

This cooking class was the real deal. All of the food set ups were fast and efficient, directions were clear and our guide was funny. We did all of the chopping, grinding and stir frying ourselves. Great introduction to all of the spices and pastes -Fabulous!

Awesome experience, loved the outdoor cooking area. Chef was funny, she was easy going and helpful to all. Saw the garden and what food we would be using. Loved it and pick up was helpful.

One of the best things we did in Chiang Mai! My husband and I took the half-day morning class, where each student had a personal cooking station. We could all choose what we wanted to make for each course (stir-fry, curry, and soup, plus egg rolls), selecting our own spice level, and adding a bit more spicy/sweet/salty to make each dish perfect for our personal tastes. Gathering our ingredients from the garden and making our curry pastes by hand made the experience that much more special. A huge thank you to our instructor, Lily, for her warmth, guidance, and humor. We had a fantastic time!
Leah_W, Jan 2026
The visit to the market and the entire cooking class was excellent! Luna and her team were incredible teachers and created a very memorable evening for our group. The food we made was absolutely delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience!

So fun! One of the best meals we have had in Thailand. Guide was fantastic, the night was very well paced. Don’t eat all day as it is a lot of food!
Dmitri_R, Jan 2026
Pick up timing, food, guidance - everything was perfect! Lily is great!
