Cannot recommend Tuk Ta (“Tuk-Tuk”) and this amazing tour highly enough! Don’t hesitate and book it! We had the BEST day, Tuk Ta spoke great English and was easy to understand. She is truly adorable and passionate about the elephants. The other stops were very good, the jungle hike had stunning waterfalls and fabulous views. We also had a really great driver (“Mr Shy”) who did an excellent job on the mountain roads. This was a bucket list trip and did not disappoint. Cannot recommend it highly enough!

Great tour! Interacting with the elephants was definitely the highlight of the day for us. Lunch was good, guides were fantastic. The hike was longer that we expected, but we enjoyed it.

Amazing experience for our whole family. It is a long day but that's what you would expect for a 3 in 1 day.
Food was good at elephant sanctuary but more water during the day would have been better. Consider taking your own water too.
Not as strenuous as you might imagine either... overall GREAT day

Thank you for your kind review. We’re very happy to hear that you had an enjoyable experience with us. Your encouraging words will be shared with our team and will certainly inspire them. We truly appreciate your support for this ethical elephant sanctuary and the local community—it means a great deal to us.
We would also like to share that, besides the prepared water wich is continually refill, the elephants are free to go and drink from the river or any natural water source around the sanctuary whenever they choose, as part of our commitment to their well-being and natural behavior.

Jurney was worth it’s price. Had possibility to feed Elephants, to wash them in the river and stay nearby

First of all, it was two different language spoken group your (Spanish and English) and they forced us to seat in the back where we had car sick. The sitting was too narrow and broken.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about your experience.
Please kindly note that seating on the transfer is not pre-assigned. Guests who are picked up earlier are able to choose their seats first, which may result in later pickups being seated towards the back.
Regarding the guide, the tour is conducted in English and Thai only, as stated on our product page. While we welcome guests of all nationalities, we do ask for understanding that guiding will be limited to these languages.
We appreciate your comments and will share them with our team to help improve the overall experience.

Great full day of good activities. Elephants activity was awesome. The hike was great too. Passing through forest, rice fields and ends up in a local village where locals greet you and offer coffee and tea

The tour is good. You see exactly what you booked. It’s a lot, but that’s what you signed up for. What bothered me was that our tour guide didn’t explain much. He also didn’t make sure the group was present when he did say something. Otherwise, it’s a recommendable tour if you want to see a lot in one day.

If you're in Chiang Mai for a short period (less than three days) this is for you. For the chilled travellers this might feel a bit rushed but it's packed with lots of things. There was a bit of hiccup on our way to the elephant sanctuary as the van broke down but it was replaced fairly quickly. The tour guides were friendly and accommodating. Recommended.

Picked up 45 minutes after we had been told to be ready. No tour guide he was picked up on the way to the Elephant Sanctuary. Apparently his scooter had broken down? Activities were all good but just had the feeling they were all at minimum cost to the organisers.

Long day with lots of travel, but absolutely worth it. Elephant sanctuary and Doi Inthanon were the standouts. The 1½-hour uphill trek is strenuous, yet the breathtaking waterfalls and mountain vistas make it rewarding.

My wife and I had a great time on this jam-packed tour! Our day began with a visit to the beautiful twin pagodas followed by a short hike to the highest point in Thailand. Next we did a longer but not too strenuous jungle hike to a hill tribe village that had excellent locally-grown coffee, tea, and a delicious lunch. Our day ended at the Living Green Elephant Sanctuary, an ethical sanctuary where you can feed the elephants, walk among them, and bathe them only if they choose to go to the water. This was an incredible experience and the highlight of the tour. The handlers knew the elephants well and the love and care they have for the animals was very apparent. Our guide Sandy was amazing, taking great pictures of us, educating us about the elephants, and pointing out different plants and points of Interest on our hike. It is a long day with a lot of driving between places, but it's worth it for all the things you get to do! Be sure to bring comfortable shoes and plenty of sunscreen. We highly recommend booking this tour!

The tour was very well run. When we ran into a ln issue not being able to get up the mountain he decided to take us to trekking instead of sitting there waiting. Our guide was excellent at capturing the moments especially for solo travelers. You had more than enough time for each activity and didn't feel rushed. Overall, well done!

It’s a full day packed full of some amazing activities/landmarks in northern Thailand. The elephant sanctuary was very special- truly up close with the elephants. Lunch was great. Doa Inthanon, the hike, the shrines - were well organized and allowed for great visits. All around it was exactly as we hoped.

The hike and pagodas were cool, but the tour was kinda weak otherwise. Also, didn't like that there was no option for a refund when my friend had to go to the hospital for food poisoning and can't go on the tour.

It was a great (but packed) day. For me, the highlight of the trip was the visit to the elephant sanctuary where we were able to feed and wash the elephants. Also great was the waterfall hike. The views were incredible. Our guide (and the local guide) gave us information about all the plants we saw on the hike and also gave us things to try such as the coffee bean berries. Even though it we ended in a gift shop, I did appreciate that it was a local tribe that profits from our purchases and they had some pretty cool food and handmade items you wouldn’t be able to find in a typical gift shop in Chiang Mai or Bangkok. It’s a great spot to buy some local herbal tea or coffee or rice to bring home for friends/family. Overall this was an amazing experience and super happy I spent a day on this trip. The only negatives is that I didn’t like we stopped at a coffee shop only after about 20 minutes of leaving and felt pressured to buy some overpriced drinks - way more than if we just stopped at a 7-eleven. They did have clean bathrooms at least for us to use. I also would have appreciated if they gave us a guided tour of Doi Inthanon and told us the history and what we should know about it. They pretty much just set us free to look at it ourselves without any information. I saw other tour groups walking around with their guide which I would have appreciated.

John was our tour guide and did an amazing job explain what to expect. He took pictures of us feeding and bathing the elephants in the Elephant Sanctuary. The King and Queen Pagodss were beaufull. At the amazing waterfall hike, I had difficulty navigating the steep down stone parts of the hike so John got extra help for the local village to help me complete the hike which was amazing and supportive as I slowed the other 12 down

Very enjoyable full day tour beginning with a visit to Living Green Elephant Sanctuary. Two tour groups combine together (approximately 24 people total) to feed the elephants and follow them to the river. Delicious lunch (vegetarian Pad Thai) and fruit provided for a pleasant outdoor lunch. Visit to Doi Inthanon peak, temples and waterfall hike were well timed and organized.
The tour van was a bit cramped, especially if sitting in the back where seats do not recline during long drives between sites. This was the biggest detractor, particularly given the extended driving times where more comfort would have improved the overall experience.
Of note, individuals with reduced mobility may have issues getting to the elephant sanctuary camp over uneven terrain and during the waterfall hiking trail.
Guides were well organized and pleasant.

Picked up right on time. Started off with a white knuckle drive including an unnecessary stop at a coffee shop ( someone must be getting kickbacks). Driver was very aggressive and unsafe in our opinion. If you’re prone to car sickness, this isn’t for you. First stop at elephant sanctuary was very good. Were able to feed the elephants for a long time. Small group meant for lots of individual time with the elephants. No need for bathing suit as we didn’t go in the water. Lunch was good and bathrooms were clean. Then another 1 hour drive up a hair raising, twisty mountain road to the peak. Visited highest point and 2 pagodas. Women need to wear long pants, but wraps are available to borrow. Another drive to trailhead for a 5 km hike. It’s probably a moderate rating, so wear proper shoes. It’s a good trail with lots of ups and downs and some very steep parts. Saw several beautiful waterfalls. Ended at a small village coffee shop for some coffee and tea samples. Some pressure to purchase items here. It was a 10 hour day. Overall, a good excursion, we gave it a 4 out of 5 because there was no “wow” factor, just a good experience.
