This was such an amazing experience for me and my daughter. We couldn’t ask for a better person to spend the day with. Yut was so thoughtful and knowledgable about the temples, their history and relationship to the respective surrounding communities. You’re not just getting a safe driver, you are getting what amounts to a trained monk and historian with a great personality and the patience to explain things in as much detail as you could ask for. The temples were on another level. Beyond words really. The temples are a fusion of modernity and the ancient, with mind blowing architecture that is surreal. This is a must-do bucket list activity. Just do it. Ask for Yut and thank me later. 🙏

Our guide Yut was fantastic! Knowledgeable of history and Buddhism. Temples are astounding and well worth the visit. The White Temple was just a little bit more special - Taj Mahal-ish. 🙏🙏

Tong was our tour guide and from the start of the tour he was very nice and made us feel comfortable. He explained everything we asked from understanding about monks to how rice is made. We enjoyed his company and his humor. It was our first time in Thailand and he made this trip so much more nice and comfortable. He brought us snacks from his village and let’s just say it was amazing!!! But i will say he is an even better photographer. We never have anyone to capture pictures of us as a couple and he did that and knew all the good spots! Thank you Gong, keep being awesome and having the big heart you do!

What a great day to Chiang Rai and the temples with Tong as our amazing driver and guide. He made it very special from the start, such a warm and funny person always checking we were ok and making sure we had everything that we needed. The small things like providing a local snack (which we probably wouldn’t have tried), tissues for the rest rooms, cold water, phone charger, and his recommendations for local Thai dishes and places in Chiang Mai (which were spot on!).
He made the trip fun and very informative and always offering to take photos for us in great spots.
It is a long day but it is worth it to see the unique temples and hear from Tong the history of them and show us things we wouldn’t have noticed on our own.
We had another trip booked with Pagoda View Tours 2 days before with Tong and luckily we had him again as our guide for this trip!!! Great day thank you and if only all tour guides were like Tong!

We can find no fault with our visit to the Temples, which are really worth a visit. Our driver Yut struck the right balance between being informative as well as allowing us to explore by ourselves whilst also being on hand to act as a photographer. A great day.

Exceptional tour with Yut who was super knowledgeable, kind and accommodating! He knew all the best times to visit, where to take pictures from and pertinent knowledge about the temples. I had such a blast I even requested we add another temple to the visit and it was gladly accepted.

Tong was the best guide I’ve ever had on any tour, ever. He considered our tastes and needs, building in time to demonstrate that he was actually listening to what it is that we wanted. He was a great photographer and made excellent recommendations for pictures while also giving us details on the sights we were seeing.

This was such a great way to see beautiful temples and the countryside. We got to see 4 temples and they were all so unique. Our tour guide (named M) was such a wonderful guide! He was very knowledgeable about Thai history and the temples, a great driver and a fantastic photographer to capture the moments. The car was really nice, clean and air conditioned and the snacks and lunch were incredible! He took us to a local spot for lunch away from the tourists with incredible noodles and it felt so special to go somewhere local. I would definitely do this tour again!

The car was too old and shouldn't have been used for long-distance tours. We felt very uncomfortable the whole way, suffering from motion sickness. We paid a high price but didn't get the best service .

Driver sent to wrong hotel his English comprehension was poor had I think memorised the info in English on the temples which appeared to re ash for each temple! The Van was dirty and had cracked windscreen at times the engine struggled on our return journey the driver was driving rather fast whilst checking his phone. We didn’t enjoy the experience it was poor value in our opinion

This was a great experience. The temples are aesthetically interesting, and our guide, “O”, taught us a lot about the meanings of the styles and decorations and a lot about Buddhism as well. He even took some time to try meditation with us. O took great care of us all day long.

We have nothing but fantastic things to say about our guide, Yut! From the moment he picked us up in his very clean and comfortable car to the moment he dropped us off, he was very personable and professional.
We learned so much from him throughout the day. He was so knowledgeable about each stop that we made, providing more than just the basics I’m sure we would have received had we’d been on a group tour. He is passionate about his job and we are confident in saying that our day trip to Chiang Rai was extra special because of this man.

We had a great day trip with Tong! Pickup was right on time at our hotel at 7 am. Plenty of restroom stops, cold water and snacks available during the trip. We saw 4 temples, and Tong explained the history of each, offered to take lots of photos, and answered all our questions. Lunch in Chiang Rai was delicious. We arrived back at our hotel around 6:30 pm. It's a long day but worth it, and you can nap in the car if you're feeling sleepy. Would recommend!

What an amazing day! Our guide, O, was wonderful. We loved seeing four different temples and seeing the various styles and stories that accompanied each temple. His English was easy to understand and he told stories with humor and passion. He did a great job capturing the day by taking many pictures. We would highly recommend this tour. We had the best tour guide, videographer, driver, photographer and 'body guard'! Tong was a true gentleman and looked after me and my daughter like we were royalty. He made sure to check we were ok and made our day unforgettable. We visited 4 temples with Tong where he showed us around each and told us information about them. Best of all he took fantastic photos for us, something which is hard to get when you are traveling as a single parent. I was nervous about the long drive, but Tong made sure to stop along the way. He also respected that we would be tired and let us relax and sleep when we needed to. This tour has been one of the best I've done whilst staying in Chiang Mai, and this is down to the fantastic Tong and his excellent knowledge and people skills. Thank you so much Tong. We will definitely contact you when we next visit.

The tour was a great opportunity to experience Chiang Rai and the surrounding area fire the first or 100th time. Our guide, Yut, was informative and kind. The private tour was fantastic. Yut, our tour guide and driver, was exceptional and took very good care of us. He was very knowledgeable on all of the temples and was very patient while we took a lot of pictures. He made us very comfortable in the car by offering us water, use of USB cables and he even had USB charging outlets in the back seat too. He also offered us little garbage bags for our nut shells too. He also went the extra mile by carrying my heavy camera bag and camera at times too. He was also very flexible as I really wanted to be at the White Temple at sunset and he ensured we had lots of time to enjoy the White Temple and the sunset. Finally, for our lunch we asked him if we could visit a good and authentic Thai restaurant that LOCALS would go to and he took us to one that was simply amazing, delicious and had dishes we had never seen before. I highly recommend this tour and I highly advise requesting Yut. Thanks again to Yut and Pagoda View Tours for a memorable experience!

The experience itself was truly enjoyable from start to finish. Poon was excellent—very knowledgeable and shared a lot of interesting information along the way. To explore the temples and sights of Chiang Rai, we booked this day trip from Chiang Mai.
Thanks to our guide and driver Tong, we had a wonderful and interesting day. He told us a lot about northern Thailand, took great care of us and drove us safely from A to B.
The time flew by and the trip was well worth the money. We can highly recommend Tong and the day trip.

Fantastic day and a tour I would highly recommend if you’re looking to visit the Chiang Rai temples in comfort and at your own pace.
Our guide, Pom, and our driver, Chan, were excellent. We were picked up from our hotel at 7am, and the minivan was very comfortable — wide seats, plenty of leg room, and a smooth ride, which made the long journey very pleasant.
The tour closely followed the itinerary, and Pom was knowledgeable at each stop. He provided just the right amount of information and was always happy to answer our questions when we wanted more detail. He also helped with photos and with buying souvenirs, which was much appreciated.
Lunch was at a good restaurant, and Pom ordered ahead so everything arrived quickly with no waiting around.
The return journey to Chiang Mai was smooth, and we arrived back at 7.15pm.
Overall, a fantastic experience — comfortable, well‑organised, and very well guided. Highly recommended!

The location was lovely, and visiting the temples was an enjoyable experience. Our guide was also kind and attentive. Shout to our driver who made sure we were safe and on time, cruised safely and skillfully through the traffic.
However, the dining experience was disappointing. The buffet hall was excessively crowded and felt chaotic rather than relaxing. Given the price we paid, we expected a significantly better-organized and more comfortable dining environment. That’s why not 5 stars
