Costa Rica tour was amazing! Fresh coffee tasted so rich, and the volcano views were unreal. The guide explained everything in a fun way, and the scenery was beautiful the whole time. Definitely one of the best experiences I’ve had while traveling, would 100% recommend to anyone visiting!

Volcano, coffee, and dinner - a wonderful day at Poás!

Our group had just disembarked from our cruise. We left our luggage at a Bounce storage location, and Les, our guide, met us there to start our fabulous day. We headed to the Poás volcano along narrow, winding roads only to find that traffic was backed up due to a car hitting a tree and knocking down power lines that blocked the road. After trying two different routes to the volcano, our skilled driver managed to get us safely to our first destination. It was a short hike, and the volcano was spectacular! My 87-year-old mom had to stop and rest a few times because of the high altitude, but Les didn't mind waiting, and we took our time. After we reached the top, we had the option of hiking to Laguna Botos. Part of our group went back to the visitor center, but my husband and I hiked about a mile further to the Laguna with Les, and it was worth the trip. It's a beautiful green acid lake that is a volcanic crater. After Poás, we went to the Alsasia Starbucks coffee farm. It was very interesting, and the landscape was breathtaking. We love our coffee, and the tour showed us all of the steps from growing the coffee to roasting. We were hungry for dinner, and everyone had the time, so we found a local restaurant that served Costa Rican cuisine, and we had drinks and a delicious dinner. We paid our driver a little extra to pick up our luggage from storage and drop us off at the airport. A perfect day! Les took photos of us throughout the day with his high-quality camera, and he later sent them to us for no extra charge. They turned out grea! We HIGHLY recommend this tour!

A perfect way to spend the day!

Poas volcano tour with coffee tour was the perfect day trip from San Jose-and a very memorable one! The volcano was active for the first time since 2017 so were were able to see some very special and incredible sites! During the coffee tour, our teenage daughter was able actually harvest the coffee fruit and then learn how the coffee grows, is harvested, sorted, dried and roasted-plus we got to taste the coffee! The plantation was gorgeous and a very relaxing place to end our day. Our guide, Lester Campos, did a fabulous job making sure we were comfortable and happy the entire day. He was able to share details of the area and sites which made the day extra special!
