Overview

Learn to surf in Uvita Costa Rica at your own pace, with a private instructor. You don’t need to share with a group, or feel like you’re on your own. Instead, your personalized instructor will take you step by step through the surfing process. This two hour lesson is great for beginners to intermediates. Leandro and his colleague G were incredible! My 13 yo son and his 11 yo friend were given clear, safe instruction and had the time of their lives learning to surf! The waves were awesome and it was the perfect environment with a great teacher!! Highly highly recommend!!

Leandro was wonderful to work with. Very welcoming and inviting. Had a nice place for my wife to sit comfortably out of the sun while I had my 2 hour lesson. He set me up with the information I needed to know before getting in the water. After the first hour we took a break and he hooked me and my wife up with a fresh pineapple and huge coconut water. It was a lot of fun. It was the best cardio workout I have had in awhile. Totally recommend it. When we come back I’ll get another lesson from him.

This was only my second surf lesson ever. So, I am an absolute beginner and kind of a klutz. He was very patient and focused on the positive. I never felt judged. I was never made to feel inferior. (That's a big fear for me when dealing with guys doing "guy stuff") Thanks to his support, I too was able to focus on the positive and made some real progress!

I planned two days with him consecutively and would recommend the same for anyone who might want to do more than just the very basics, it gave us a chance to cater my lessons more accordingly. Fresh pineapple and water during our breaks, and great conversation. One of the highlights of my trip so far!
