A cross between surfing and snowboarding that uses sand dunes instead of waves or snow, sandboarding is a thrilling sport that makes for great holiday pics. Experience it with a small group on this package that includes a dedicated guide, sandboards, wax, and cold drinks, but excludes entrance fees. If standing feels too much, just sit and ride toboggan style.

We had an incredible time sandboarding with Cris! My wife and I had never tried sandboarding (or even snowboarding) before, but thanks to Cris’s expert coaching, we felt comfortable right from the start. We spent two amazing hours having fun, learning, and laughing — even falling into the sand was enjoyable! The activity is very accessible even for complete beginners, and it’s a fantastic experience for anyone looking to try something new. A tip: bring sunscreen, a hat, and a scarf to cover your face from the sand. Thank you so much, Cris, for such a fantastic and unforgettable adventure!

I took my 2 sons Mikey and Garreth to their 1st sand dune boarding experience and they absolutely loved every second... an experience most def recommended to anyone who has time. 10 out of 10 experience for sure.. A big shout out also needs to go to our guide Chris, who was fantastic all round.

We had amazing ~2 hours sandboarding in the Dunes of Atlantis. Everything went according to schedule and we had loads of fun. They offer sandboards with and without closed shoes so both is possible. Cool drinks are provided and you need good stamina to walk up the hill again and again and again. Great activity with an amazing guide, but be prepared to fall on our bum again and again and again! 😃

Don't book with this guy. He'll take you out even when it's not safe or he'll cancel on you and refuse to refund . Then threaten not to give you the full refund. I had to block him as he said I was fighting and kept harassing me. Viator were reasonable and agreed to refund the full amount. Avoid at all costs .

My friend and i have really enjoyed sandboarding! We are experienced snowboarders so sandboarding was not that hard to do but we had a lot of fun! Sandboarding is slower than snowboarding so i guess it's easy to do and learn for everyone. If you are not experienced you can use the board as a sled - that's a lot of fun aswell! Our tourguide built a jump for us and took many nice clips and shots. We enjoyed the time, sun and the chats with our guide. We highly recommend this activity!

We had a great time with Tendai. In a group of 4 we got boards and walked into the dunes (which is not that far). On a flat dune we made the first attempts on the boards and then moved on to steeper ones. In between we also used the boards as sledges and conquered the big dunes :). It was a lot of fun and we were well looked after (there was shade and something cool to drink). Would definitely do it again!

Great experience doing these 2 hours of sandboarding, we had good guidance, Tendai was with us the whole time helping us, we had enough wax to make sure the board stays smooth, and the drinks helped a lot from the heat and wind in the dunes. My advice would be to book a trip that comes with transport to city centre because the dunes is in the middle of nowhere, if you’re able to get there by Uber, most likely you won’t get a ride out.

We had a great time sandboarding the impressive Atlantis dunes (1 experienced boarder & 1 beginner 》 suitable for all levels)! Would totally recommend it - nice guide and as a plus: free cold drinks & snacks (not included with most providers). We also gave it a go because of the cheaper price compared to the competitors, but be aware that you need to get a permit at the spot which is not included in the online booking.

We really enjoyed the sandboarding! Some of the boards were a little broken, but when you found a good one it really is very enjoyable. Definitely, worth a recommendation when visiting Cape Town/Atlantis!
