With Remmy as our guide, we had a marvelous day traveling around the Cape Town scenic area. Our trip was replete with knowledge galore which Remmy provided. Was a little confusing re:start time. Tour start time advertised as being 9am. In reality, the ferry for Robben Island leaves at 9. And must have an ID to board the ferry. Fortunately had a picture of mine.

Table Mountain, Bo Kapp and Robben Island

We really enjoyed the trip to Table Mountain, we were lucky it was a bright sunny day. The cable car going up to the top of the mountain holds 65 people and rotates as it moves so everyone gets a good view. There were a number of different view points at the top to get great photos. Bo Kapp was an interesting place to walk around and again get good photos of the coloured buildings, the history is worth reading about. The trip over to Robben Island takes about 45 minutes, when you arrive you are transferred to buses for a short tour of the island. The guide we had on the bus was excellent giving us an history talk of the island, he was very knowledgeable and introduced a bit of fun into his commentary. We then were passed over to an ex prisoner for a tour of the prison area. He took us into one of the communal cells which slept about 60 prisoners, he told us about the conditions in the prison which although interesting went on too long. Because the talk had gone on for such a long time we were then rushed passed the cell block including Nelson Mandela's cell and the shower blocks and we had to try and take photos as we walked which ruined the experience a little, after all taking photos of the best bits are very important. Overall the combined trip was well worth doing.p

Our tour guide was excellent. Pick and drop off was right on time. Our tour guides name was Qudah. He was very kind and patient with my friend and I. He was also knowledgeable in the history He provided about the stops on the tour. I highly recommend this tour.

Fantastic trip including the top attractions we wanted to see while visiting Cape Town Thoroughly recommend this company (Raw African Experiences) Excellent communication from them before and during the trip. Our guide, Kuda, was knowledgeable and made us feel so welcome - nothing was too much trouble and he was polite and courteous the whole time Robben island is a must when here to experience the story of prisoners held there and find out what it was like for Mandela to be kept there Bokaap is worth a visit to see the brightly coloured houses and hear about the history behind them Unfortunately the table mountain part of the trip in the afternoon was cancelled due to high winds by the cable car operators. Kuda and his colleagues made sure we could go another day that suited us and sent a driver to take us there and back - definitely above and beyond expectations. I would thoroughly recommend using this company for your trip

Unser Guide Qudah war ausgezeichnet. Wir hatten vor und während unseres Ausflugs mit Qudah bstens kommuniziert. Da wir mit dem Kreuzfahrtschiff reisen, hatten wir spezielle, kurzfristige erhaltenen Bestimmungen der Einwanderungsbehörde erhalten, welche unseren Tagesausflug gefährdeten. Qudah konnte unseren Ausflugsablauf jedoch meisterhaft umorganisieren, und wir einen tollen Tag geniessen konnten! Wir erhielten von Qudah stets sachkundige Erläuterungen und überhaupt gab er uns das Gefühl, so willkommen zu sein - nichts bereitete ihm zu viel Mühe und er war den ganzen Tag höflich und sehr zuvorkommend. Der Besuch von Robben Island ist einfach ein Must, wenn man etwas über die neuere Geschichte Südafrikas erfahren möchte. Auch der Besuch von Bo-Kaap ist sehr wertvoll, um die bunten Häuser und die Entstehung dieses wichtigen Stadtteils von Kapstadt zu erfahren. Aus zeitgründen (Restriktionen der Einwanderungsbehörde) konnten wir den Tafelberg nicht besuchen, aber Qudah hat uns alternativ in ein typisches südafrikanisches Quartier geführt, was sehr toll war. Wir können diese Tour wärmstens empfehlen!
