We absolutely loved this digital tour of Yosemite National Park! The app was incredibly easy to use, and the interactive map made exploring the park simple and stress-free. It provided fascinating history about Yosemite while guiding us to some of the park's most beautiful sights.
One of our favorite features was the flexibility. We could either follow the recommended driving route or choose to explore hiking trails at our own pace. It truly felt like having a knowledgeable tour guide with us the entire time, but with the freedom to customize our adventure.
This tour added so much to our visit and helped us appreciate the park on a deeper level. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting Yosemite. 10 out of 10!

Kariemah, thank you for taking my GPS audio tour of Yosemite National Park. I’m so glad the map, stories, and route flexibility made your visit easy, stress-free, and more meaningful while still letting you explore at your own pace. If you're ready for more California trips, my Central California Self-Guided Tour covers 17 Mile Drive, Big Sur, Sequoia, and more. Happy exploring!
Cathleen_S, May 2026
We could not access the narration even though we downloaded the app . It would not allow us to access the south entrance for the beginning
Response from Host, Jun 2026
Cathleen, I’m sorry to hear you had trouble accessing my Yosemite GPS Driving Audio Tour. The tour works offline once downloaded and provides full GPS-triggered narration, so it should play without issue if launched at the official start point, and the route is followed. Did you start at the designated start location? If you’re still at the park, I can walk you through the app, or if you’ve left, I can offer a replacement tour or process a refund. I’m available daily from 9 AM–6 PM EST.

The audio tour didn't work well for us. The map and the audio would only play on the phone and would not play on the screen in the car.
Response from Host, May 2026
Linda, I’m sorry you had trouble connecting to the car during this tour. Was it a rental? Were you connected by Bluetooth or by a physical cable? Please feel free to reach out anytime — I’m available daily from 9 AM–6 PM EST.

After figuring out that needed to download Action Tour Guide App to actually use, it was extremely beneficial!! Had four different routes to use. We came in from south entrance and left one day from hwy 140 route. Was able to use without cell service which was extremely helpful!!

CRISTINA_C, Mar 2024
This self-guided audio tour was one of the best ways to experience Yosemite.
PROs:
• We were in the comfort and warmth of our own vehicle
• We could stop at our leisure and take in the views without feeling rushed
• We could very easily go back in the audio and listen to the commentary again if we didn't hear what was said
• When we got back on the road, the tour automatically picked up where we left off — They knew exactly where we were based on GPS - even though we were offline (there's no signal in the park.)
CONs:
• Once we reached the starting point address and pulled over, it was a little unclear what road to get on to begin the tour. The map wasn't showing up on my phone, so we ended up starting on the wrong road. But we went back to the starting point and looked at the printed map the Ranger gave us at the entrance and figured out what road we needed to get on.
• There were a few times when the audio did not play when we drove through the numbered "checkpoint"...so I had to hit "play" manually on the audio. But it eventually picked up and started doing it automatically again.
• The only thing I would add would be a better way to match our location on the tour to the printed map provided by the park ranger. Perhaps if they called out what the name of the roads were in the audio so we could figure out where we were more easily.
OVERALL, it was a fantastic way to see the park. Highly recommend!!!
Response from Host, Mar 2024
Cristina, thanks for sharing so much detail! This is so helpful for others and me! I am so glad you got to enjoy all the benefits of my self-guided experience :) I'm glad you pointed out the starting point address issue — it was slightly off, so I've already adjusted it. I shouldn't give anyone else problems now. I'll also work on editing some of my story titles to more clearly match the park's map, as you suggested! The only issue I'm not able to reproduce is the audio one. Could you tell me what type of phone you are using? Thanks again!
Marissa_B, Jan 2024
Was way too confusing and did not work at all while in the park. Waste of money! The download also took almost an hour.

gallagherkaren, Oct 2023
The App was easy to download and gave us detailed directions to the park entrance we chose. I liked the fact that the audio started when we reached entrance to the park. The gos worked well, but a few times the audio skipped and/ or repeated itself. Lots of information was revealed which made the trip more educational. The park itself is memorizing and the audio added to it.
Response from Host, Oct 2023
