We had an absolutely fantastic time on our whale watching excursion in Cabo with Mako Sea Wild Life tours. From start to finish, the experience felt thoughtful, professional, and genuinely special.
Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and informative. You could truly feel her love for whales in the way she shared information and reacted with excitement to each sighting, it made the entire experience even more meaningful. Her enthusiasm was contagious and added so much to the trip.
The captain was equally impressive, keeping us safe at all times while maintaining a respectful distance from the whales. We were in calm waters and never felt rushed or crowded, which allowed us to fully enjoy the experience without feeling intrusive to the animals.
It was clear that this team deeply respects marine life and cares about doing things the right way. That combination of professionalism, passion, and genuine excitement made this trip truly unforgettable. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Cabo, it was a highlight of our trip.

Miguel was great at spotting whales and he had so much interesting information to tell us about whales. The boat was small and pretty rough at the beginning, but by the end it was worth it, we saw several whales. I think Miguel was more excited than us about seeing the whales! He seems to love his job.

I was a bit worried booking at the end of March, thinking whale activity might be low—but wow, what an experience!
Captain Javier was amazing—super friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. He not only found whales for us, but even taught us how to spot them ourselves, which made the whole experience even more special.
We ended up having a private tour since no one else joined, which made it feel even more personal and fun. From start to finish, everything was seamless. Julian greeted us, clearly explained where to go (including the dock fee), and guided us to the boat—such a great first impression.
Overall, an unforgettable experience with a fantastic team. We would definitely book with them again!

The trip got off to an anxious start as my boat was late and I was the only one waiting for the 2:00 PM departure. However, once the boat arrived I was off to a wonderful few hours watching whales and visiting the Arch with nobody blocking my view as I was the only passenger!

The staff was fantastic and knowledgeable. They helped my 76 year old mother and catered to her as if she were their mother. The whales were beautiful and the driver knew where to find the best spots for viewing. I would highly recommend this tour.

I ended up going out on the boat alone as the other passengers did not show up. I had a private boat trip and it was fantastic. Spent 2 hours watching a mama and baby humpback playing in the sea and also some larger males later on. Visited the arch briefly and watched some sea lions surfing behind the boats. The whole experience was fantastic and Xavier was kind and a safe driver

Our guide and captain were great. We weren’t much luck seeing whales but they were determined to find some. We soon realized why there were no whales. We actually encountered Orca’s!. We got some great views and photos.
Even the captain and guide were surprised.
Lucky for us we had great whale sightings from our hotel, but to see the Orcas was amazing.

We had a great experience with Javier on the Arrecife. Or cruise ship was late getting to Cabo and we missed our excursion and they rescheduled for the next morning. We were able to see a lot of humpback whales surfacing and jumping out of the water. One even swam next to our boat. Javier was a great guide and knew right where to go. The boat was very clean and well maintained. We had a great experience and wished it didn’t have to end. Thank you!

Can get wet! Great crew found lots of whales. Pretty choppy when we were out little rough getting back to port. Bring a jacket.

If you get seasick this may not be for you. When the boat stops to watch whales, the bobbing in the ocean can make some people queasy.
Otherwise this is the excursion of a lifetime! This was our first trip to see the south migration of the whales. Boyz we were not disappointed. We saw so many whales.
Clem was an extremely knowledgeable guide and happily answered all our questions with excitement and you can tell she really loves there majestic creatures.
We're planning another trip with the kids and we will absolutely take this tour .

This was a great day of whale watching. Our guide was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable and was infectious with her love of whales. We saw groups of humpbacks and had many good close up views. We learned a lot about whale behaviour. All in all it was a very good tour and I would not hesitate to go again.

This is an awesome experience. We saw many whales, bottlenose dolphins and a sea turtle! The whale watching was magical. Our captain was amazing. He gave them lots of space while also getting us near enough to take photos and enjoy the whales. Our guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic!

Julien took us on an unforgettable tour. We went on (Nov 29th) and saw many whales!! Julien gave us information about the area and took us all around to the pacific side and sea of Cortez. We also saw some bonus wildlife like stingrays jumping! I cannot recommend this tour enough. This was truly one of the best tours we have ever been on! I would consider even doing it again!

Captain Jiuian and Jay were both magnificent! Everyone was telling us it was too early in the season to find the whales.. But they found several of them over the 3 plus hours we were out!! Jay shared his immense knowledge about whales and we had an amazing time.. Also, it was a small group of people which we enjoyed.. An amazing tour, you must take this one!!
