This was a really great tour. Alex is a brilliant, knowledgeable and very personable guide with great English. I really en=jpyed talking to him, learned a fair bit about the cultural, social and political contexts on Bucharest and was able to see street art I wouldn't otherwise have properly understood in a new light. Highly recommended.

It’s a wonderful way to broaden understanding of Bucharest’s recent history and current culture in a fun, engaging way! Our guide, Ioana, was fantastic. So well-prepared, knowledgeable and ready to answer all types of questions. Ioana know so much about the street art scene—why it took root, what it all means, who the important influences are. This tour really opened up our eyes in Bucharest…even though it was drizzly and gray on the day of our tour. We’re both SO glad we did it!

We started the tour with the history of Streetart & Grafitty and got some insights how it started in Romania. Our Tourguide was excellend and open. He knew a lot about the story behind all the artworks. I really can recomend the tour! :-)

This was a very interesting tour, looking at the subject manner (history) from another perspective. Our guide, Andra, is an art student and was well placed to make the subject come to life. I really enjoyed learning about the city’s history, culture, and artists through her stories. I definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to explore the city in a different way.

Excellent street artwork that can be easily missed without doing tour

I booked this tour for the last day of my trip to Bucharest, since I had a free day with no activities, and I did not want a long tour that put pressure on me getting to the airport, so I booked the walking tour of alternative Bucharest. I am glad that I did. As it happened, I was the only participant on the tour that day. I am glad that I did that tour. I saw some very artistic street art on the walking tour. The guide was friendly, and gave an explanation of the art work that I saw on the tour. It is also important to point out that the artwork that I saw is largely not in the main areas of Bucharest that tourists visit, so it can be easily missed without going on the tour. It was also nice that the tour ended close to a cafe, where I could get a drink after all the walking I did. I included examples of the artwork that can be seen on the tour. There is far more artwork that can be seen.

Ioana was a wonderful guide of the street art in Bucharest and opened my eyes to a new appreciation for street art in general! Lots of interesting information and the neighborhoods we walked in were my favorite in the city. Ioana also showed us great recommendations for food, coffee, drinks and a lovely bookstore.

She asked about my interests so that she could show me what she thought I would most appreciate which was a fabulous touch. The tour was absolutely incredible. Our guide, Andra, was so knowledgeable about not only the city, but the history of the country as well. She conveyed this to us in a friendly, professional manner, even bringing us pretzels to snack on for the duration of the tour. The city itself was gorgeous, with beautiful artworks hidden around every corner, which only served to enhance the varied, historically rich architecture. I loved the street art !!!!!! Ioana was an excellent guide; very knowledgeable in the artists, their work and its history, as well as Bucharest's history and its different architectural styles. We wandered the streets of Bucharest finding example after example of the different artists, and some grafitti, as well. This was a really neat tour! Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about Bucharest. We loved all the street art! We were surprised by all of the abandoned/for sale mansions in the city...our guide explained everything. She even recommended a great lunch spot after the tour. This was a great way to spend our first day checking out Bucharest!
