I had a wonderful time at the waffle workshop! It was both fun and delicious, and they even let us take home everything we baked.
We started by learning about the history of waffles, then went through the ingredients and the cooking steps before baking together. On the table, there was a great variety of toppings to choose from — banana, chocolate, honey, peanut butter, cream, and different kinds of jam.
Our instructor, Chau, was very kind and friendly. She even gave me a special gluten-free recipe and helpful tips on how to make it work at home.
Overall, it was a lovely experience and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn, bake, and enjoy amazing waffles!

A fun, light hearted experience for everyone! I was solo but it would be awesome with kids. It's up a set of narrow stairs, FYI.

The location is great and the staff is very friendly. The waffle recipe is super simple and takes just a few minutes to prepare. I’d hope we could’ve learned more types of waffles (including the liege style that are so popular around the city). Basically you spend a few minutes making the batter and the rest of the time cooking and topping them with whatever you want. I enjoyed socializing with everyone in the class and eating the waffles but didn’t learn as much as I’d hoped to.

The class was fantastic, it provided a great mix of learning about waffles and making them. Eating the waffles you made is of course the best part. Our instructor was kind and patient and made the experience very enjoyable. An absolute must do if you have time in Brussels.

Overall a good experience. It really is all you can eat (and way more! You can bring home all the waffles you don’t make). The recipe is very simple but I didn’t expect it to be complicated given the class is fairly short. The flavour of the waffles was awesome!
We booked for 3 people and were initially directed to share one set up between the 3 of us. This was really unfair considering I paid for all 3 people and everyone who attended as an individual got their own set up.
They did set up a second station for us so that we ended up sharing 2 between the 3 of us and that worked out okay but still not what we paid for.
Overall a good experience and something a big different to do in Brussels - especially good with teenagers but be cautious if your expectations when booking in a group.

So I was traveling toBruges and looking for a waffle tour. I booked this tour last minute while standing on the deck to catch a train and I didn’t have my glasses on. Well, the next morning I woke went onto my phone to see where to meet for the waffle tour and discovered I’d booked it in the wrong city of Belgium. The meeting spot was an hour away in Brussels. Realizing my mistake, I texted the vendor canceling my reservation. I then contacted viator. Long story short, I lost my $ as neither company would refund. I have used Viator for years all over the world and felt they were a great company. I’ve recommended them to everyone I know. I will certainly not make a last minute reservation again. I had made the reservation less than 24 hours before the event. They would not reimburse saying they had already set things up for us. Read carefully before booking

Small personal workshop, that provided the perfect amount of attention. Awesome instruction, waffle history and cooking experience. Waffles were also delicious!

A little out of the way from the center of town, but a fun excursion! They do a great job! Good for all ages.

This was a fun, delicious, interactive class. Instructor was easy to understand and the class size was just right.

Great experience for lone travellers or small groups. I've done it twice now! The venue is pretty, the waffles are delicious what's not to love.

Super fun, family friendly waffle making class! Ana was a fabulous hostess and made everything easy for our kids to make their own waffle batter and cook their own waffles. Would highly recommend!

Knowledgeable host, fun activity with friends. Only drawback is lack of drinks to go along with the waffles. The drinks were available but you need to go and ask for them. Would been more efficient if host(s) would be more on top of giving them to the participants who are busy cooking waffles. Overall, a great experience.

Such a fun experience to participate in while in Belgium! We had a wonderful group to work alongside and had nothing but laughs and a good time. Definitely would book, again and highly recommend.

This experience was fantastic. The host spoke excellent English, we got a little bit of history about the waffles before making our own batch. We could have made more if we wanted and the host was on hand to help. The only thing that could have been improved was the location, the steps were extremely steep to walk up the first floor which I found quite challenging being pregnant. Although chairs were readily available they weren’t laid out to start with, which gave the impression they weren’t to be used. The actual experience was lovely and the waffles were delicious!

It’s quite simple. You get a recipe and you make the waffles and eat them. Wish there was more to this experience

Give yourself time to find the place. It is a hidden gem. Well worth the experience. I would recommend to anyone.

Fun workshop making waffles. The information about the kinds of waffles was interesting! The waffles were delicious and we had lots of toppings to choose from!
We got to take left over waffles home.
Thankfully I took a photo of the recipe because we thought they would give us the recipe to take home but they didn't.

We were looking for something off the beaten path, and this 75-minute waffle-making experience was the perfect way to take a break from the traditional tourist destinations. Upon arrival, we were greeted and given a demonstration on how to make the waffle batter. Along with a recipe, we were provided with all the necessary ingredients to get started.
We were free to get hands-on, cook our waffles, and customize them with a variety of delicious toppings. We could make as many waffles as we wanted, loading them up with toppings. And for any extra waffles, we were given foil to take them with us. The experience also included a beverage.
All in all, it was a unique and enjoyable way to spend time together while taking a break from the typical sightseeing routine.

I was disappointed that this waffle making experience was simply making waffle batter and cooking it on a waffle iron in the same way we do at home. Their reasoning was that the customary liège waffle is made from dough that requires yeast and takes several hours to rise. It seems they should make batches of liège dough at the end of each shift and let sit over night to rise then allow the customers to cook a liège waffle as well as making small batches of Brussels waffle (aka Belgian waffle). This would allow the experience of comparing the two main types of waffles in Belgium.
With all that said, we still had a great time! It was very organized with excellent instruction, offered a multitude of toppings many of which I had never heard of, and allowed the material to pack up your extra waffles and toppings. I would still recommend this experience but would suggest to the hosts adding pre-made liège dough to make for a more complete waffle experience.

Fun experience with Juliette. Amazing waffles, recipe to use at home. The building is lovely but has steep winding stairs that may cause issues for people with mobility issues.

2nd time so much fun! This is affordable and a must do while in Brussels and a short walk from the city center
Melissa_D, Sep 2024
so much fun! went with my best friend and the two of us left with 15 delicious waffles 😋 really took advantage of the all you can make/eat policy and got our money’s worth

Who doesn’t like waffles? Nice time to spend learning to make and eating waffles. A fun quick experience s

Truly the worst experience of our vacation. The place was difficult to find. The neighborhood is a bit dodgy. But that was not the issue. The instructor was downright rude and demanded my husband leave the premises because he didn't purchase a ticket. Like most tourists we were on a budget and only purchased tickets for myself and our children. We asked if there was another place to watch or for my husband to sit while the kids had the experience. We were told he could not watch and if he didn't leave the kids couldn't participate. We chose not to make a scene but I was flabbergasted. Our children were distressed and it ruined the entire experience for them. The experience itself is just okay and IMHO not worth the cost. The waffles and the instruction were nothing we couldn't have done at home. This is designed to be an experience for families. It is NOT a family friendly business! Please do not waste your money or time.

My instructor was really nice and hands on. The waffles were really delicious too. I went by myself and enjoyed it. It was good music and good vibes. I def recommend this a must do if you're in town.

Our host was very friendly and informative. She asked us about our country and told us about hers while we ate the waffles we made.
