I had an amazing time on this chocolate tour! Our guide, Fraser, was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and full of knowledge. He made the history of Belgian chocolate genuinely fascinating, breaking it down in a fun and engaging way that kept everyone interested from start to finish.
In addition to learning a ton about how Belgian chocolate came to be world-famous, we also got to sample so many delicious pieces along the way—each one better than the last. It was the perfect mix of education and indulgence.
I’d absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Belgium or looking for a sweet and memorable experience. Fraser truly made it unforgettable! 🍫✨

Exactly what we were looking for. Excellent local guide providing a great mix of history, chocolate and the history of chocolate.

Fraser was a fantastic tour guide, making sure everyone felt included and giving us a wonderful history of Belgium's chocolate trade.

Our guide Maggie was super! She was very informative and helpful. I learned a lot and Loved tha assortment of chocolates we got to try. I would go back next week if I could 😆

Wonderful tour with Fraser who is a great story teller (and I just loved his Scottish accent). Most chocolate shops are located close to the Grand Place so not a lot of walking. I loved the tour but had expected much more chocolate!!

I went on a tour with Fraser and he’s so funny and full of interesting information - not just about chocolate but also the history of Belgium. We had a ton of delicious chocolates from a good selection of places including a family owned chocolate/ganache shop and a woman owned business. Definitely worth a visit if you like chocolate and are in Brussels

We very much enjoyed this tour. We learnt about the history of chocolate in Brussels as well as getting to visit several chocolate makers and hear about their histories.

Unfortunately we didn't get to participate in the tour. We were delayed a bit due to the rain, but we got to the meeting point 4 minutes past the meeting time and did not see the guide. After contacting the company via Viator, I was able to contact the guide hoping we could meet up with the rest of the group. Turns out my partner and I were the only people signed up for the tour and the guide had decided to leave for the day and could not come back. We also were not given any sort of refund.

Best experience - a little history not just about chocolate, but also about Belgium. The selections of places was ideal, and our favourite was Mary's Chocolate (and the story behind it). Our guide was amazing to and answered all our questions and gave us a lot of additional insight. Worth doing it.

Fraser was a great guide who was very informative and had the perfect personality for a tour like this. Got to try pieces of chocolate that I wouldn’t normally go for and enjoyed them all. Would definitely recommend if visiting!

Perfect walk around the Grand Place in Brussels with history, chocolates, jokes and hot chocolate. Really fun way to spend 90mins while getting to sample some of the best chocolates too. Went with husband and 2 teenage boys. Really good value tour.
Fraser was a great guide. Highly recommend.

Tour was canceled due to illness. Tour guide contacted me. Very nice person. Nothing more to say. We did get to visit one shop and the chocolates were wonderful

The tour was a fantastic way to enjoy Belgian chocolate whilst also learning all about how and why Brussels became such an epicentre for it. The tour guide, Fraser, was full of local knowledge and his custom was also clearly appreciated by the chocolate shops that we stopped by, which made the tour feel very authentic. Would 100% recommend.

Really interesting and fun guided tour around city centre shops and points of interest. Fraser was a brilliant host!
Matthew_G, Dec 2025
Great tour on not only a history of chocolate but a little history of Brussels in general. Always great to get to sample some of Fraser’s picks because it can be overwhelming between shops and types of chocolate.
Kimberley_T, Nov 2025
This was one of the best tours I’ve ever been on. Fraser, our tour guide, was incredible - friendly, charismatic, and able to teach us about the history of chocolate in Belgium in such a fun and interesting way. You could tell he had a real love not only for the city, but for the chocolatiers he introduced us to throughout the tour. Could not recommend Fraser and this tour enough! A real highlight of our trip.
Tom_W, Nov 2025
Excellent tour with Fraser, great chocolate and history! Would recommend to anyone wanting to eat and know more about chocolate history
Gail_M, Nov 2025
Fraser was great! Of the tours I have taken over the past 3 months he is easily the best! He is engaging, interesting, knowledgeable, and fun!! Highly recommend this tour!!
Suzanne_D, Nov 2025
Just book it! Fraser was a fantastic guide, giving lots of history and information about chocolate and Brussels always informed by the requirements and wishes of the group. Great tour and tastings that we wouldn’t have tried on our own.
Esther_A, Nov 2025
A really nice visit to some of the most famous chocolateries in town. Also a friendly guide, very knowledgeable and interesting. A sweet tour!
Business_P, Oct 2025
He was 15 mins late. Then dumped me with a different tour company, luckily Mateo was fantastic and accepted me to join his group. Matea was excellent from a company called ambassadors red umbrella .
Wendy_N, Oct 2025
We had an amazing tour around central Brussels. What made it extra, was that it wasn't only chocolate, but Belgian history too. Chocolate is definitely interesting, but it's next level to get an understanding of the city/country at the same time. Thank you for making the time enriching in multiple ways!
Craig_H, Oct 2025
Fraser, our tour guide, is so knowledgeable and engaging. He made the tour a total winner. The tastings at several chocolatiers were varied and just right.
Melanie_R, Sep 2025
Fraser was a great tourguide. We discovered some cute shops, tried delicious chocolates, learned and heard a lot of interesting stuff and had a really good time!
Kari_C, Sep 2025
Fraser was an excellent guide. Loved his Scottish brogue and his knowledge of the history of Belgian chocolate making. Fraser was patient with our questions and took the time to add little bits of Belgian history into the tour.
Mlwessler, Sep 2025
Fraser was a fantastic guide! He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of chocolate, the process in which it’s made, and the best spots in Brussels to stop. He took us to smaller mom and pop shops which was great and the variety was amazing! He also gave us recommendations at the end of the tour and was extremely personable. Along with the information about chocolate, we also learned some history about Brussels in general, which was a nice bonus.
Roberta_R, Sep 2025
Fraser was an excellent guide. We did 2 other tours with another company and it was very difficult to understand the guides due to very strong accents. Fraser was easy and fun to listen to and gave us wonderful information about chocolate as we walked and tasted. Definitely a 5 star experience.
