This tour provided an excellent, entertaining, and accurate account of the history of Belgium. We appreciated hearing about the good, bad, and ugly aspects of Belgium. My entire family highly recommends this tour!

Very nice introduction to Brussels. The woman who gave the tour did not speak English very clearly so in some parts we had trouble understanding her. The tour encourages you to give a good tip so people should be aware that they do persuade you for a tip and it is not just the amount in viator.

We took this tour on our first day in Brussels. Our guide was very informative and answered all our questions. I learned very much about the history of Brussels which set us up for an enjoyable holiday. The guide gave us help on things to see and where to go for the rest of our stay. A brilliant two hours with a great guide. Thank you.

Firstly, this is essentially a FREE tour of the city by volunteers……but!!!
We made our way into the city centre, passed the druggies and the sex workers, tried to park the motorbike legally but the signage was woeful and the parking letters
Had a life of their own, or indeed no life at all.
I hasten to add that we only ended up in the city centre in the bike as the public transport was woeful.
We finally got there, having had a text 2 hours before the start time advising we MIST inform if cannot make it, stressed and anxious.
About 10 minutes after the official start time, stood chin wagging with a lovely lady from New Zealand, the guide announces that the tour couldn’t go ahead without 10 people, there were only ever 3 people booked on but ‘we hope someone may turn up’
They knew the tour was under subscribed!
They could have called it off allowing us to organise something else for our last night of our holiday.
They chose not to!
So as a final night in a 12 day motorbike WW2 tour taking in D Day beaches, the Canadian Somme territory (I know that’s WW1!), Ann Franks house, Bergen Belsen, Berlin and Cologne was a massive let down and disappointment

If you go in Spring/Summer, it will not be dark.

We were the only two to show up for the tour and so the guide canceled it. It would have been nice to get a message warning us of this beforehand. The guide also offered to do the tour with just us, but wanted 30 euro from us to do it.

We did the 8.00pm experience. Our guide was funny, extremely friendly, very knowledgeable and we had fun with the other guests. It was a small group with plenty of interaction. Lots of very interesting history. We would highly recommend.

Maryam( I think that was her name, apologies if it’s wrong) was delightful. She walked through the city pointing out not only the most obvious sites, but also those quite unusual that we would never have found or understood the significance of them. She was most willing to answer our questions and the whole evening was a lot of fun. I would definitely recommend this tour as an alternative for an addition to a very traditional tour.

Ian was an enthusiastic guide and storyteller! I was hoping for more “dark stories”, but it was equal measure history as well.
Be prepared to do a lot of walking on cobblestones and up and down hills. Great way to get a sense of the city, but not great if you have bad knees (like me!).

It was really good we enjoyed it but it wasn’t about the dark side of Brussels. We were also disappointed at the end everyone had vouchers except us as they ran out. Informative and fun!

The guide was not able to be located, even after 25 minutes of looking. The square was packed, but I arrived 10 minutes early and left 15 minutes after tour was supposed to start.

What a wonderful way to learn about Bruxelles' art, culture & history from a local who's happy to take you off the beaten part. Den was very attentive and a very accomplished storyteller - I really felt I got to know this city in a fun and intimate fashion away from the hustle and bustle of daytime crowds (although some spots will obviously be more crowded than others). Tip: research you route to get to the starting point beforehand, as it will take longer than you think, especially if you are travelling by metro!

I received confirmation of tour and met the guide, but ... I just wasted the time to go for the meeting...
All info he gave was "go the beer museum to warm up as the tour will not take place if you are not at least 5pax. You are the only one here and I cancel the tour."
I have asked, ok please give me at least some directions and was abswered very rude " no directions, anyway we are not holding on to the plan as per advertise and adapt dependiong the participants"

Tour was great. Sebastian was a great guide - he is very knowledgeable and entertaining too. Agree with others who have said it isn’t necessarily “dark” - more just a night history tour, but a great tour nonetheless.

I can’t remember our tour guides name I’m sorry! This was a good tour. Not the very best one I’ve ever been on but we enjoyed some of the darker stories of Brussels. The tour is free essentially just a small booking fee and whatever you feel they deserve as a tip. It was a good way to get out and see the city after dark.
