Hostess was fun, knowledgeable and entertaining. We enjoyed ourselves immensely! We plan on taking our newfound knowledge and making chocolate for our families.
Great fun. Small group activity that was really enjoyable, learned all about chocolate and tempering, made loads of chocolates, nothing went to waste!
Harry knew his stuff and made it so easy and fun. He also makes delicious hot chocolate which we all enjoyed.
Would thoroughly recommend this activity.
The chocolate class had a lot of potential, but the execution fell a bit short. The instructor seemed overwhelmed, and with the size of the class, it really felt like two instructors were needed. Instead of walking us through the techniques step by step, the instructor often ended up taking over and doing parts of the process for us rather than explaining how to do it ourselves. The instructor teaching chocolates in the morning while I did the waffle class seemed better equipped with better instruction than the afternoon class.
That said, the end result was genuinely impressive. The chocolates turned out beautiful, and I left with over 30 pieces to bring home and share. So while the learning experience could use some improvement, the final product made the class worthwhile.
I'd recommend this class for anyone who wants a fun outing and a big batch of gorgeous chocolates.
This was a very interesting workshop! They use quality chocolate, and we learned a lot while having fun. That being said, the surrounding neighbourhood did not feel particularly safe. I would highly recommend taking a cab rather than walking to and from the workshop. We had an uncomfortable experience on the walk there and are fairly certain we narrowly avoided being mugged.
Located in a quaint chocolate shop in a quiet neighborhood in Brussels this was FANTASTIC! Anna was AMAZING, patient, thorough, professional and kind. The end result...PERFECT handmade chocolates (pralines) by MOI! Well worth the price of admission, and you're taking home Belgian chocolate you made yourself. You leave with more chocolate, for the price of admission, than you would get if you bought it in a store!
It was such a fun experience. We really learned a lot and Anna was a terrific teacher! Plus, our end result was delicious!!! I wish there was a sign on the door, as we weren't sure we were at the right place, but all in all, a great setting and a fabulous experience! Highly recommend!
My goal coming to Belgium was to eat lots of chocolate! This workshop was so much fun! We made some more simple treats and did filled pralines! Instructor was knowledgeable and we snacked a lot on the wonderful ingredients!
Did this Activity with the chocolatier Anna. She was amazing and very patient with everyone and everything that we did! I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.
I did this solo but it was needed for “duos” so she placed me with another solo traveller which I really liked.
Chocolate masters were fun and knowledgeable. They structured the class to maximize our time and give us an opportunity to make different types of chocolates.
Really enjoyed our afternoon making chocolate with André. It was a fun way to experience Brussels, and I would highly recommend
Harry was excellent and knowledgeable .We had a wonderful time learning about chocolate and the art of making praline chocolates. It is exactly what we expected- sampled chocolate, melted chocolate, made ganache, and made pralines, chocolate discs, and made and drank hot chocolate too. We took home 24 pralines, 9 chocolate discs, and the leftover chocolate from our experience. It is well worth the price and experience. Do not wait and book the experience. A fun thing to do while in Brussels.
Harry was an amazing host!
He took time to explain the processes, giving us information on the history and keeping entertained. It was a pleasure to spend the few hours with him!
You get to take home 21 pralines that you made. You will truly be making them with some help from the instructor. Pretty cool experience!
Great introduction to Belgian chocolate. They go over the basics of how to make two types of chocolate and then you get to eat them.
This is a hands on work shop that left us feeling accomplished. It was a the right mix of theory and hands on. Our instructor Harry was great at presenting and was very supportive. We left with a full box of chocolates each and plan on giving them as souvenirs (if they make it home)
Harry was wonderful. Great jokes and explanations. Great experience.
LOVED LOVED my chocolate that I made.
This was such a fun experience. Although I cannot remember our instructors’ name he was very friendly, patient, and cracked several jokes. He also had a lot of knowledgeable information about chocolate, and that enhanced the experience. Dark chocolate was the main chocolate used so if you’re not a fan of that type just be aware. I love the fact that we made two different styles of chocolate treats at the end. The chocolate came out delicious. Location was simple to find. I would definitely recommend this activity to anyone who loves chocolate, loves working with their hands, and to whoever likes experiencing new things. 100% recommend.
We had a great time making chocolates. After the class is over we left with 25+ each of chocolates.. Balo did a great job explaining each step of the process.
Very worthwhile! They made the job of making chocolates rather easy. Lots of guidance in the process and good explanations of the chemistry involved. The people in charge were delightful!
We had a great time making pralines with a fun group! We left with a box of delicious chocolates and some great recipes.
Calypso was a fantastic instructor for our chocolate-making workshop! She was clear, patient, and engaging, making the entire experience both fun and educational. Her teaching style made the process easy to follow, and she created a warm, welcoming atmosphere that made everyone feel comfortable and involved. We learned so much and truly enjoyed every step of creating our own chocolates. It was such a memorable experience, and we couldn’t have asked for a better teacher. Highly recommend Calypso and this workshop to anyone visiting! 🍫
This was so much fun! Our instructor was patient, kind, and a great teacher! We learned about the chocolate making process, did it ourselves, and got to make ganache as well. Then we could fill our chocolates with different sauces, nuts, and fruits. I had the best time!
If you are debating taking this chocolate workshop, just do it! We traveled to Belgium from USA and did this class on our Thanksgiving Day. It was a memorable day for sure! We learned from Harry how to make chocolate pralines (we got to take home!) and creamy hot chocolate! We were so excited learning, we decided to buy all the supplies to teach our children at home on Christmas! I can't wait to see how they come out! He made the class fun and I would definitely recommend this class to anyone!
Anna was very patient & did an excellent job of describing the process of making chocolates. The amount of chocolate pralines lasted for our entire trip & then some!
Was both educational and fun, but more importantly delicious. We had a great experience with Bota and spent 2.5 hours learning and consuming delicious Belgian chocolate while outside it was cold and rainy.
Great experience and fun event. The activity was full of laughter and learned something new. I wish they had beer with the activity
It was really fun and interested experience. I recommend everyone to do this workshop if you stay few days in brussels

Really enjoyable activity. Beto was great and was very interactive. Can get a bit messy but very fun to do!
