This is a wonderful experience. Emin, our guide was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and full of energy. On this tour, you get to experience the best part of Belgium - chocolate. Emin was also a wealth of knowledge telling us about history, great places for frites, waffles, beer, and food in general. And you get to make your own chocolate treats! Amazing expertise and highly recommend.

We had a lot of fun with this tour - tried many nice chocolates but also got something of a walking tour as well. It was also fun getting to make our own chocolate creations. Thanks, Emin!

Avo was an incredible guide. We had numerous pieces of chocolate each more interesting than the last. I feel like I've never known more about chocolate than at this moment! I can't recommend this tour enough.

Informative and interesting. Our guide was very passionate about Brussels history, chocolate, and Belgium beer. It was , overall, a fun day.

While a fun tour in concept, the execution was a bit lacking. The route felt a bit haphazard, and the chocolate was tasty, but maybe not worth the cost of the tour. Learned a little, & got my steps in, but left feeling a bit meh.

Hellp Ashleigh, with 10 chocolate tastings and 1 hour workshop.you learned a little?

What made this experience exceptional was the outstanding charm and knowledge of Avo our guide. Despite the chill of the weather, his warmth, willingness to answer questions, expansive knowledge and excellent itinerary were wonderful. The various chocolatiers we visited were fascinating and very different from each other, and of course the chocolates we were lucky enough to sample were utterly delicious. We learned and enjoyed so much. Thank you.

very kind host, Emin! We went to several chocolade shops and tried a lot of different chocolade flavours. Subliem!

Informative, fun tour with Emil. We appreciated the information about Brussels and enjoyed our chocolate tastings at multiple vendors. We also enjoyed our creation of chocolate candies!

The tour was interesting and fun. Our guide was very friendly and professional. It was a small group which made it nicer.

Emen was a phenomenal tour guide giving us the lowdown on Belgian chocolate and giving good tips for our further exploration around Belgium. He gave us some great restaurant recommendations and answered all of our questions regarding Brussels. He was really good with the kids in our group and were able to keep them safe and engaged.
The chocolate making workshop was a lovely chance to sit inside and make some cute creations so it didn’t feel like too much walking yet you still got such a good lay of the land.
There was some confusion about where to meet for the tour. Some updated instructions/clarification would be nice. Meet inside Grand Place 23 (Mary’s chocolataire). Marc was super accommodating with our flight schedules making sure we could reschedule as needed.

Emin was great. Very nice, informative. Well worth the price for the amount of chocolate we sampled and places you get to visit.
Kayman_B, Nov 2025
The chocolate tour with Avo was absolute the best experience, he’s very knowledgeable about chocolate. By the the end of the tour we were chocolate out, which he explained we would be at the very beginning of the tour. I highly recommend Avo if you want a chocolate tour around Brussels where he bring you to authentic chocolate places and get to taste test different chocolates and make chocolate!
Judy_J, Nov 2025
Emin was very informative and engaging. The shops we visited all provided us with delicious chocolates to sample. Making our own chocolate was a lot of fun. We loved our time with him.
Julie_C, Nov 2025
We had a delightful time. Emin shared such interesting information about Brussels, and we saw far more of the city than we realized would be covered. Making our own chocolates was fun and informative. I will never look at chocolate the same way again!

Emen was our guide for the walking tour workshop. He was excellent and incredibly knowledgeable not only of the history of chocolate but of Brussels itself and took the time to show us some hidden gems within the city. The chocolates we tried were varied and all delicious.

Excellent tour! So glad we booked this and would definitely recommend this tour to friends. Wide variety of chocolates.

Stephanie_S, Sep 2025
It was very informative, I learned so much about the different kinds of chocolate and we tasted some of the most delicious chocolate I've ever tasted. By the end of the tour I never thought I'd say no more chocolate, lol

Amazing tour Asim (?) Was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and shared lots of information about both chocolate and the city. Making the chocolate was so much fun. Highly recommend.

This is a 3 (or in our case a little over 3) hour walking tour of chocolate within Brussels; for us it was led by Avo. There is a little history of buildings/monuments etc. included in the tour, but the focus is definitely chocolate. We got a lot of fascinating information about the history of chocolate, chocolate-making, and chocolate selling within Brussels. We visited 6ish chocolate stores, and tried 2-3 samples at these stores. Very delicious chocolate! The stores are selected to demonstrate high quality chocolate of different styles, and the guide talks about how the chocolate is made/unique features of the chocolate at each store. In the middle of the tour we stop and make our own little chocolates using melted chocolate and some accessories (for example marshmallow or biscuit on the inside, coconut, salt, almond on the outside).
We learned a lot, got some good walking in, and tasted some amazing chocolate. Oh and we received a little discount at many of the stores afterwards if we went back to purchase chocolate (which we did! They make great gifts!). I recommend this tour. Even my husband enjoyed it, and he isn't a chocoholic.

Our guide Avo was very knowledgeable and provided a great history and overview of chocolate. The samples were amazing (my favorite was the white chocolate lemon-filled one although the dark chocolate ones were surprisingly good and not bitter), and the tour provided a different perspective and experience regarding chocolates based on my previous trips to Belgium. Now, the chocolate-making portion of this tour left a lot to be desired, especially since I had done a previous chocolate workshop in Brussels via a different entity that was amazing. As others stated, the workshop portion was basically drizzling pre-melted chocolate and adding nuts, fruit etc. to make pralines along with a couple of biscuits and a marshmallow to dip/drizzle/decorate. Overall, this tour was a great experience based on the history and samples (5 stars), but taking off a star due to the lackluster chocolate-making portion.

Tasting 10 chocolates from a few chocolatiers was scumptious. Being able to make some chocolate with different toppings was fun and a nice break in the tour.

What a great tour. We loved our guide Azzeddine. He gave a good narrative as we went from stop to stop and was very informative
Francesca_T, Aug 2025
The guide knew the names of most sights but bar one sentence per sight did not have any further info. Did not know why the atomium was built and when. Very lacking in knowledge which was very disappointing. He was far more interested in telling us about his childhood, not relevant as he had not grown up in Belgium. Allthough he kept repeating that he he was a local and had been living there for 13 years. The so called chocolate workshop meant we used cooking chocolate to decorate a biscuit, a marshmallow, a coconut biscuit and a mini waffle and one could add a few different types of sprinkles as decoration. We could have done this for our children at home in our own kitchen with much better tasting chocolate from the local supermarket. The chocolate creations were given to us at the end of the tour but on opening our packets we found that not all chocolate had been included. Marketing is definitely misleading for this tour. 10 professional chocolates were supposed to be tasted but only 8 professional chocolates were actually tasted. There was a 9th chocolate which the guide had made the day before- This tasted very basic. There was also a scoop of ice cream at a chocolatier which according to the guide was instead of the usual cup of coffee. Perhaps this should have been the 10th chocolate? At one of the chocolatiers, the guide was given a telling off as he hadn't called up in advance to warn a tour group was coming. Sadly a big promise and very much under delivered. Would not recommend unless you want to be fleeced for your money! Plenty of other tours out there...
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Hello Franscesca, the tour includes 10 chocolate tastings, 1 hour workshop, and venture past the city center. The Atomium is too far away to see. And we don't cook the chocolate either.
I understand that you did not like the tour. But with 3 stars I can imagine that not everything was bad.
Every day we try to improve our tour and it will be impossible to satisfy everyone.
We are there since 1985 with professional guides.
Ohter companies just did copy and paste. We were the first ones in Brussels to start with a regular chocolate tour on Viator.

Great guide who provided interesting history about Brussels and chocolate! The workshop was fun and the chocolate was great — we learned a lot and really enjoyed our time!
