Terrible experience, the tour guide would not shut up.
Amsterdam is a filthy place with trash everyone’s the streets. Lots of it
SARIKA_S, Apr 2026
Check the weather, as Amsterdam is on a canal and the walk from the tour bus is along the water. Also carry your own water, restaurants do not offer free water
Rollin_F, Mar 2026
English and Spanish.
Besides guided spoke other languages
Only negative point was that a physical map was not given only download.
For those without internet it is a problem.
For other tour maps were given

Great tour with our tour guide Harris. Very informative. The tour started on time and was very professional.

Excellent balance of guided and not to explore Amsterdam! Oscar was a great, knowledgeable guide. The canal boat trip was a perfect way to start the visit.

Antonio is wonderful, funny and gave us the tour in both Spanish and English. It wasn’t an easy task at all but he did it so well. On our free time, we tried the canal museum as he recommended and it was amazing. Great way to learn about the city’s canals. Thank you Antonio. Lovely time on the canal cruise as well.

It was a great day trip. Had some time with the guide and a lot of time to walk around on our own. The map and suggestions were great and, while we used some of those suggestions, we found a lot of interesting places on our own. Hit a lot of traffic on our way but still had time to explore.

Long day! The return was 5 hours on the bus. So in total 8 1/2 hrs on the bus.
Our guide was both Spanish and English but leaned heavily on Spanish so didn’t feel we had a lot of information in comparison.
Enjoyed the city. Walkable to most things we wanted to see.
The boat was nice way to see the city albeit the guide didn’t seem to provide much English dialogue.

Our tour guy was friendly..we had fun and enjoyed . And we went all around in the Amsterdam . What a nice place!

Our guide Antonio was great and very knowledgeable. Unfortunately the travel time to and from Brussels takes up too much time leaving us very little time to enjoy the city. Also, where the bus meet us on the way back is kind of far taking up more of the time there. To really enjoy this city I would have to come back on my own.

Amsterdam was great. The day trip was well organised and enjoyable.
Learnt a lot about Amsterdam that we didn’t know before.

It was a very beautiful trip, the guide, Jules was very friendly with us, he gave a lot of information about the tour , about the buildings we saw. It was a very nice experience.

We had a nice time on the river cruise and walking around Amsterdam. Our travel guide was helpful, friendly, and knowledgable. The only downside is it took longer to get there and back as people don’t follow instructions! Otherwise it was a lovely trip.

It was well worth it if you haven't seen Amsterdam before. This was a day-trip by bus from Brussels taking up the full day. The boat tour gives you a good sense of the canal district, though it's not ideal for photos since you are quite low, but it was OK. The other boats and houseboats are interesting. I spotted a quaint restaurant overlooking a bridge and canal and declared to myself "I'm eating there!" - and did after the tour, sitting outside in the spring sunshine. You get a couple of hours of free time to wander around and explore.

Highly Highly Highly recommend this day trip to Amsterdam. Loved driving through and seeing the beautiful landscaped countryside, windmills, canals, farms , animals and homes on the way to Amsterdam. The Netherlands is truly breathtaking country and something out of a storybook. The canal cruise was incredible and you get to see so much . The 4 hour free time gave us enough time to see what we wanted and we were also able to see AnnFrank’s house by foot . Our tour guide Sabrina was also so amazing and very knowledgeable! We will have forever lasting memories because of this tour.Don’t pass up this incredible trip .. you won’t regret it!

Very fun experience with time to yourself to roam the city! I enjoyed this trip because I was able to roam the city for a few hours by myself since the tour allows you free time. Taking a map would be ideal or using the Apple Maps really helped me a lot to walk through the city and see what I wanted to see.

Antonio our guide was excellent he gave the tour in English and Spanish which was great for us, would recommend this tour 100 percent, Amsterdam is beautiful
Campbell_L, May 2025
Great value and our guide Julian was extremely informative throughout the entire trip. The canal cruise was the highlight as Julian pointed out many of the attractions as we cruised along. This meant we could select those we wished to visit in our own time. Excellent!
Proceso_B, May 2025
Our guides were excellent as long as we were in the bus because we can hear them clearly. But upon reaching Amsterdam, there were no remote earphones so we cannot hear our guide with the noise of the crowds and traffic.
Nneka_A, May 2025
They were punctual and the boat trip was great.
The bus was comfortable and affordable considering the distance from Brussels to Amsterdam.
However it was not easy to find the starting point also it would be nice to have a number we can contact that actually works during the trip. May be having the tour guides number would help in case one miss there way.

There could be traffic but the driver and tour guide ensured the schedule is not delayed. The canal tour by boat is alright although it could get busy too. Overall the tour is good.

We were not informed as to the details of the itinerary which are important to know.
There is a meeting point in the morning, but that is not where the bus is located. This would be useful information especially in inclement weather. They allow 10 minutes past departure time for late comers. This of course can add time to the early morning wait outdoors. We then walked blocks to reach the bus in the very cold weather. Our assumption was that the meeting point is the same as where the bus is located.
Allow time to have breakfast before boarding. On other tours, we were given sufficient time to eat and use the restroom during a midway stop. On this tour we were told that they assumed we'd eat prior to arriving and were not allowed food or drinks on the bus. I say this because it can affect people with dietary issues. However, they do sell bottled water and if you arrive early a supermarket is located at the meet up spot. There is a 15 minute midway stop where you are told to use the restroom, but encouraged not to eat so that you can remain on schedule. As you can imagine, a bus load of attendees attempting to use the restroom at the same time won't allow for much else. mange sure you have a credit card or change to enter the restroom.
Once you finish your journey to the location, you are then told that it will be a 15 minute walk to the boat. Again, advanced notice is key especially in inclement weather. The weather turned fast and we dealt with rain, snow and at times sun. They take advantage of the situation by offering ponchos (at that exact moment) for purchase. Luckily we were prepared and brought pocket sized umbrellas - many did not and suffered the freezing rain. Once on the boat as you can imagine, body heat contributes to the windows fogging. It was impossible to see what was pointed out to us. Midway, the windows started to defog. If you love taking photos, this is not for you. The windows were still partially fogged in areas and the rain/snow didn't allow for clear photos. Upon the end of the 1 hr cruise you are then given time on your own to explore and eat before meeting back at the departure location. That window is only 10 minutes because they are not allowed more time in the pickup spot. My recommendations to the tour guide (Bruno) is to better inform of the itinerary and details that can affect your enjoyment of the tour. Perhaps hand out transmitters with headphones on the bus. With jetlag, lack of sleep and food many people prefer to sleep on the bus than have to listen to endless commentary. Some was informative, most was over winded. If you decide to visit Amsterdam I highly recommend the Rembrandt Experience. Cafés allow smoking and needless to say marijuana is legal in Amsterdam. Your best bet is to hop on Eurostar and spend a day or 2 enjoying the sites. Otherwise, I felt there was not enough time to see all we wanted to. To end, most people will tip without a "reminder" about how the tips are split between the guide and driver. I happily tip 99% of the time. It takes a pretty awful experience for me not to. I rated a 3 for a safe ride on the bus, otherwise it was a disappointment.
kamal_m, Nov 2024
This tour is about 6 hours of driving + 1.5 hours of boat ride + 3 hours of free independent time around Amsterdam central station. I do appreciate our guide Diana who tried her best as she could not speak any English but tried the tour is 100 percent run in Spanish so be prepared. I blame the tour company buendia tours for putting the tour guide in situations like this. I would ask for a refund in this scenario from the tour company, adding in jury to insult we had multiple delays on the way back. I do have 2 more trips booked and hope they are not a disaster.
