A very well organized day - Bruges is stunning and Ghent is also quite nice to visit. It is a longggg day, so just make sure you're prepared - though it is generally worth it and I thought the balance between the walking tour times and free time in each city was about right. The guides were very friendly and knowledgeable.

We had an amazing experience, everything was well organized, and the itinerary was perfectly paced so we could enjoy both cities without feeling rushed. A special shoutout to our tour guide, Sabrina—she truly made the trip exceptional. She was knowledgeable, engaging, and had a great sense of humor. Her insights into the history and culture of both Bruges and Ghent made the experience so much more meaningful. She also gave excellent recommendations for food, local spots, and photo opportunities. Both cities were absolutely beautiful, and the whole day ran smoothly from start to finish. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Belgium, especially if you’re lucky enough to have Sabrina as your guide!

A Perfect Day Exploring History & Beauty

Paige_K, Jul 2026
This full-day tour of two beautiful cities was a highlight of my trip! Be sure to wear comfortable sneakers and bring an umbrella, as there’s plenty of walking and the weather can change quickly. You’ll stroll through fascinating historical sites, hear captivating stories spanning centuries, and take in breathtaking views along the way. Everything is thoughtfully curated by experienced and knowledgeable guides. Our guide, Jaris, is a history professor, and his passion for history truly brought each destination to life. His expertise and engaging storytelling made the experience even more memorable. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to combine history, culture, and beautiful scenery in one day.

Amazing Views and History

Anotonio was the best guide ever! Little tidbits and knowledge that really made the experience worth it. The cities are so pretty and beautiful architecturally we wished we could’ve had more time!

Great day exploring Bruge and Ghent. Guides were both super knowledgeable. Blanca was awesome and has a real mastery of the history, easiness with her speech and is funny. Enjoyed learning the history from her.

Blanca did a great job giving us an amazing tour. Unfortunately weather was so hot after her tour walking around was miserable.

A long day

Allison_S, Jun 2026
It’s a long day on a big bus with 55 guests so be ready for some pushing and shoving. Ear head phones needed to be purchased, along with water, which we thought was weird. Lots of places were sighted and were stunning. Tour guides were knowledgeable, however could have worn a uniform so they didn’t blend into the crowd.

Excellent trip

Springtime in Belgium

Jataun_M, Jun 2026
Although we booked a tour for English speakers, the guides were sometimes a bit difficult to understand given their accents. Just be patient and ask them to repeat, or speak slowly, if needed. Antonio and Sabrina were both happy to help. We had more free time in Bruges than I anticipated so I suggest researching a "side quest" in advance. I wish we'd booked a boat ride in Bruges!

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Thank you for sharing your feedback! We're glad you enjoyed having extra time in Bruges and that Antonio and Sabrina were helpful and attentive throughout the day. We also appreciate your note regarding communication and will keep it in mind to continue improving clarity for all our guests. Great tip about planning ahead for free time in Bruges—we agree it’s full of wonderful things to discover! We hope to welcome you again soon.

Great trip but large group.

Diane_L, Jun 2026
Easy meeting place, enjoyed learning about the 2 towns. Antonio (Junior) and Sabrina both great leaders!! Now for the the negatives... The group size was way too big-60 people. The group was broken into smaller groups for Bruges (20 people) which was perfect. When we got to Ghent they put everyone back into one massive group. Way too big. When Sabrina would talk about an area, by the time the back people got to it, she was on the next area. Confusing. Keep the groups smaller so it is understandable. Would have also been nice to give the group a few samples when they promote a store.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Thank you so much for your detailed feedback and for joining us on the tour! We are really glad you enjoyed learning about both towns and that Antonio and Sabrina made a great impression — we will make sure to pass your kind words along to them! Your comments about the group size in Ghent are very much noted. We completely understand how a large group can affect the experience, and we are always working to find the best balance. Your suggestion about keeping smaller groups throughout is valuable and something we will take into consideration. We hope to welcome you again soon! The Buendía Travel Team

Must do day trip from Brussels

DAMARIS_D, Jun 2026
Wow wow wow.. we had a beautiful sunny day which helped but these 2 cities seem to be out of a fairytale. Highly recommend the boat tours in both cities. The time in Bruges was definitely too short. Everything went well and we had a friendly knowledge guide.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed such a magical day in Bruges and Ghent, especially with the beautiful weather making it even more special. It’s great to know you appreciated the boat tours, the smooth organization, and your friendly and knowledgeable guide. We also take note of your comment about the time in Bruges. We hope to welcome you again soon for another unforgettable experience!

sheri, Jun 2026
Good overall. 2hours or so free time in each city which was really nice. Bring your own plug in headphones or be prepared to pay 1 euro for them. Water can be purchased on the bus for 1 euro 50.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Thank you for your feedback! We're glad you enjoyed the overall experience and appreciated the free time in both Bruges and Ghent. We also value your practical tips regarding onboard amenities. Your comments are helpful and will be shared with our team as we continue improving the experience for future guests. We hope to welcome you again soon!

Okay was trip

paulinelowrey, Jun 2026
Trip was “okay”. Be ready to do a lot of walking. Bus drops you 22 minutes walk away from Bruges main city square. Needed more time. Guides were friendly, but could have given more information IMO. I would recommend you catch a train and spend more time in each city.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Thank you for sharing your experience with us! We are glad the guides were friendly and we appreciate your honest feedback. We do want to clarify that the walk into Bruges is unavoidable — the city centre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which means coaches and large vehicles are not permitted to enter. The drop-off point is the closest we can get, and the walk itself is actually a lovely way to start discovering the city! We understand day trips always feel a little short when there is so much to see, but we always do our best to make the most of the time available. We hope to welcome you again on a future trip! The Buendía Travel Team

Really wonderful taste of...

AnnaLisa_H, Jun 2026
Really wonderful taste of Bruges and Ghent! The time in each city was split into an interesting tour with historical commentary from our guide and time to roam solo for 1 1/2 to 2 hrs. The bus was comfortable and water and ponchos were available for purchase if needed. Bring earphones or 1 Euro to buy theirs. You need them for the tour. Blanca did a great job as tour guide! The only downside was the continuous pop music playing on the bus ride there and back. Quiet, relaxing music or no music on the way back would have been appreciated after such a long day of site seeing.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Thank you so much for this wonderful review! We are thrilled you enjoyed both Bruges and Ghent, and we will absolutely pass your kind words on to Blanca — she will be so happy to hear this! Your feedback about the music on the bus is really appreciated and totally understandable after such a full day of sightseeing. We will take it on board and look into offering a more relaxing atmosphere on the way back. We hope to see you on another adventure with us soon! The Buendía Travel Team

It was alright but could have been better

MayAnn_G, Jun 2026
The huge group split into 3 small groups in Bruges. We had a really good walk and tour with our guide. But in Gents, we merge into one huge group and it was a bit hard. It was harder to listen in the explanation of the guide plus his way of speaking tends to drag on mid sentence so it’s hard to really understand what he wants to say. It would have been better if they kept the small groups instead.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Thank you for your feedback! 😊 We’re glad you enjoyed the tour in Bruges and the time spent with your guide there. We also appreciate your comments about the experience in Ghent, as well as the group size and clarity of the explanations. This is very helpful for us to improve the flow and comfort of future tours. We hope to welcome you again on another experience from Brussels!

2 beautiful cities all in one day Plenty of time at each location. My only complaint was that our guide was very difficult to understand

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Bruges and Ghent day trip

Sandra_P, May 2026
The trip was long and the only one of the three guides fir Bruges spoke (some broken) English (Oscar) as the group was split up due to the size - fortunately we had him for this part of the tour. In Ghent, the entire group had one guide (CJ), who seemed knowledgeable enough, but was more difficult to understand. The bus was in terrible shape. There was supposed to be bathroom on the coach, but it when asked, we were told to wait until we got to the rest stop. Also, a couple of the seats were broken - such as mine, which was in a constant state of recline, and I don’t think the person behind me appreciated that.. I felt a need to continually apologize)…and the bus driver had trouble maneuvering most of the turns. He hit quite a few curbs but fortunately no other vehicles it people!!

Response from Host, May 2026

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed the Bruges part of the tour with Oscar and appreciated his efforts. We also appreciate your comments regarding the experience in Ghent and sincerely apologize for the inconveniences with the coach, including the seat condition and onboard facilities. Your feedback has been shared with our team to help us improve future tours.

Long day, but worth it!

Eric_D, May 2026
A very well organized day - Bruges is stunning and Ghent is also quite nice to visit. It is a longggg day, so just make sure you're prepared - though it is generally worth it and I thought the balance between the walking tour times and free time in each city was about right. The guides were very friendly and knowledgeable.

Great experience with Blanca!

Rebecca_L, May 2026
Blanca was a great tour guide! Very informative and helpful throughout the entire day. Lots of walking through the different cities but very beautiful!

Nice Concept, Inconsistent Execution

Yaris_A, May 2026
This tour is convenient for people visiting Belgium for a short time who want to see two cities in one day. For the Bruges portion, the group was divided into smaller groups of around 20 people or less, each with a different guide, which worked really well considering the overall tour had more than 50 people. Our guide for the small group that it was formed, Oscar, was very friendly and knowledgeable, shared interesting facts throughout the tour, and then gave us around 2 hours of free time to explore on our own. Overall, the Bruges portion was very enjoyable. However, the Ghent portion felt completely different. The tour switched to only one guide for the entire large group, which made everything feel much more disorganized and less engaging. If you have enough time, I would honestly recommend taking the train from Brussels to Bruges first and then continuing to Ghent on your own. Looking back, I think that would have been a much better experience.

Response from Host, May 2026

Good morning, Thank you for your detailed and valuable feedback! We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the Bruges portion and that Oscar made it a friendly and knowledgeable experience. We genuinely appreciate your comments regarding the Ghent section. We aim to provide a seamless and convenient way to see both cities in one day, so your insights about the group size and organization in Ghent are incredibly helpful. We will share this with our operations team to improve the flow of the tour. Thank you again for helping us improve, and we hope to welcome you back in the future! Best regards, The Buendía Tours Team

Brugge, Gent day trip

Kevin_H, May 2026
Jorge and Julian were both excellent and very knowledgeable. We really enjoyed them. It was hard to hear them on the little out-dated radio, because if you were not within 10 feet of them all you heard was a muffled voice, and static. A lot of static. When the wind blows hard like it did today, they might want to cover the microphone with their hand, because all you could hear is the wind blowing over their voice. Just a suggestion. Otherwise, a great day!

This was a very good...

Gregory_K, May 2026
This was a very good tour. There were 3 guides, all very knowledgeable. At the meeting point, don't look for someone that is holding a viator flag. It will be a flag with another name on it depending on who is taking you out. The tours in the large meeting area in front of the train station are grouped by which language you speak. Be sure to bring headphones that have the plug in or you will be charged 1 Euro in order to use the vintage headsets. To use the bathrooms in Brugge and Ghent, it will cost 1 Euro so be prepared. There is someone there to take your money. The bus is very nice and comfortable and offer water for sale. Going to Ghent, it may be difficult for someone with mobility issues because you have to walk about 15 minutes to and from where the bus is parked with uneven steps. We had one guide with us at Ghent. The crowd was too large for one guide. In Brugge, we had 3 tour guides, and the crowd was split up which was really nice. The only thing I didn't care for was in Brugge, we were taken to meet an artist who uses paper to cut portraits of people. I think he can only do portraits of people with glasses and hats so beware. He did one for my husband without asking and wanted 10 Euros for it after he handed it to my husband like what we thought was a gift. I didn't want to pay 10 Euros. Maybe 5 at the most. I felt we were put in a spot and in a very uncomfortable position with this artist. Us and one other person felt obligated to pay. During the money transaction, the tour guide left with the group, leaving us behind with the artist. I know she knew what she set us up for is why she left. That was not cool. That was intentional sell job. We had to run to catch up with her. That was the only thing that left a sour taste in my mouth. Aside from that she was a very good guide. I tipped her when no one else did.

Response from Host, May 2026

Thank you for your detailed review and for highlighting the comfort of our buses, the quality of our guides, and the well-organized setup in Bruges. We truly appreciate your tips for future travelers regarding headphones and local restrooms! Regarding your experience in Bruges, we would like to clarify a misunderstanding. The street artist you encountered is completely independent and has no connection to Buendía Tours. Since our tours take place in popular, public tourist areas, local performers and artists are common, but they are absolutely not part of our scheduled itinerary or an "intentional sell job." Our guide moved forward with the group to keep the tight schedule on track for everyone else, and we are very sorry that this timing made you feel uncomfortable or left behind. Please rest assured that our team does not participate in or benefit from these street performances. Thank you again for your valuable feedback and your kindness toward our guide. We hope to welcome you back on another tour soon! Best regards, The Buendía Tours Team

Not good with Buinda tour...

Marty_S, May 2026
Not good with Buinda tour group. The guide radio equipment is old and was not tested before tour and did not work in Bruges. Too large of a tour group in Ghent when again the radio could not cover the size of the group. Tour guides did not have a good enough grasp of the English language to lead a tour. We paid a lot of money for the tour ended up with a tour where we could barely hear or understand the tour guides. I am disappointed that Viator promotes low quality tours.

Response from Host, May 2026

Thank you for your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the technical difficulties you experienced with our radio equipment. Clear audio is essential for a great tour, and we have already notified our operations team to inspect and update our headsets to ensure this does not happen again. Regarding your comments about our team, we would like to reassure you that all our guides undergo a strict selection process to guarantee they are fully qualified to lead tours in English. However, we are very sorry if the large group size in Ghent combined with the audio issues made it difficult to understand the commentary. We take your disappointment seriously and will use your insights to improve our group management and equipment checks. We hope to deliver a much better experience if you choose to travel with us again. Best regards, The Buendía Tours Team

Good tour that was hard to find the start of

Amy_R, May 2026
Overall this was a very well organised and informative tour with guides Antonio, Diageo and Oscar, and driver Sebastian. The main difficulty I had with this day trip was the starting point - people were told to meet outside the Central Station in Brussels - although I did happen to spot the group of fellow tour passengers amongst the hundreds of people around the station, unlike other guided tours I’ve been on, the guide had no distinctive hat / coat / flag etc so did not know that was the group. I wasted a good few minutes looking around to try and find a more obvious indication, but process of elimination made me realise that it had to be them. At this stage the group had started walking away from the station, as the tour bus was actually about a five minute walk away from the meeting point. Also, just a heads up - if you don’t bring your own wired headphones, they will ask you to pay €1 (cash only) per pair on the bus.
