Overview
Surfing is an essential part of Hawaiian culture but, if you're new to the sport, you'll need someone to show you the ropes before you dive in. This experience teaches you how to surf in a fun, safe and easy-going environment with a ratio of just three students to one instructor who will make sure that you ride a wave.

Koa, Brady and Andre were awesome at helping our family learn how to surf . They were punctual, and sent me good instructions and maps on how to get there. We were the first group out on the water and got lots of practice time. My son liked it so much that he signed up for a second time the following day. Highly recommend this company.

Surf lessons with Kaleo were fantastic! He did a great job explaining the basics of surfing on a level my 15 and 12 year old could understand and then helped make them successful surfers in the water. Would definitely recommend!

The instructors were great! Super friendly and super caring and they did a great job working with my daughters to help them learn. They both were able to get up and surf multiple waves and this was their first time to ever try. Highly recommend!

Carl, the instructor, was a down to earth, knowledgeable, and passionate surfer.
Unfortunately the waves were not great on our visit but I was able to hear a lot of stories about the Island and experiences on the surfboard. Carl’s son Kael and our younger son became best friends for the day. Afterwards they went out and surfed some more. At the end of the day, my son and I was able to surf the waves by ourselves. Thanks for giving our family memories we’ll never forget!

Brady and Brandon were FANTASTIC, so patient and encouraging, helped us talk strategy for successfully surfing and they were so great with my preteen army of girl scouts.
They were super nice, experienced instructors who were chill.
Don’t bother booking anywhere else, this is it.

What a fun experience! My mom who is almost 70, our two boys (12 and 9), and my husband and I were all first time surfers. The guides were so sweet and fun and knowledgeable. We all rode some waves but the two boys really fell in love. Highly recommend for families. The waves were not huge which was perfect for us since we were beginners.

This was my very first time surfing (43-year-old mom here!), and it couldn’t have been better. The instructor was incredibly patient and encouraging, helping me build confidence step by step. My 9-year-old daughter picked it up right away and had an absolute blast! Such a memorable experience for both of us – highly recommend!

It was a great experience! The instructors, Max and Carl, were very patient and spent lots of time on the water. They were encouraging for our group of first timers to surfing. I would definitely recommend them and would take another lesson. We had 3 kids-age 10,12,15 and one 40 year old mom. All of us were able to get up on the board at least once-even non-athletic mom!

Had a fun day on the water! Took 3 kids (10, 12, and 12) and the crew was patient, supportive and fun the whole time! Water and location were perfect for the kids with snorkeling nearby for the non-surfers! Kids loved catching multiple waves, seeing the fish and spotting a turtle! Info on meet up spot, plan and parking was perfect!

Max and Poa were great enthusiastic and knowledgeable instructors! The location was good too. The instructions were outstanding the help they provided made our families first surf experience a success.
The only downside was they didn’t have enough beginner style boards that were appropriate size for our various body weights.

Our 16 and 18 year old had a wonderful experience and rented their boards for a few more hours after. Alex and Max were amazing instructors and worked really hard to give them the best rides. I would highly recommend them!

We booked lessons for our two teen girls. The guys were patient, friendly and respectful and seemed to genuinely enjoying teaching them to surf. I would definitely recommend this to friends.

We had such a fun time! My husband and I took our 9-year-old, and the instructors made sure someone was with her the entire time. The rest of the group of teens and adults had 3 other instructors to help us all out and catch waves. They were great at explaining what to do and how to adjust our bodies.

The Kona area of the Big Island isn’t known for its surf, but we found Max to be an adequate instructor for our teen girls’ first foray into surfing. The swells were few and far between, and they had to paddle out pretty far into Kahalu’u Bay to find even that. So far we were unable to get good pictures from the shore.
