Our tour guide, Tor, made all the difference in this amazing excursion! He was extremely knowledgeable and took us to some amazing scenery and shared the history of Norway with us. We even got to stop and drink fresh waterfall water! Truly an unforgettable experience with a great guide!

The owner of the company, Bjorn, made 3 horrible comments about President Trump - two of these after I asked him to not do this. Then he said, at the end: America is a country of immigrants. I am ALL FOR an open border for the USA and Mexico. What does this have to do with a tour? None of his comments were related to the tour. No one asked him about his opinions. He just went forward and shared these. Highly recommend that Americans not book with this company.

Our Golden Circle Fjordtour is designed not only to show the landscapes, but also to weave in history, culture, and the challenges Norway has faced – including topics like climate change. In this context, I was explaining how different political directions worldwide have influenced the debate, and I included examples from both American and European history.
During this part of the narrative, you interrupted several times, similar to how a heckler might interrupt a comedian’s performance. Meanwhile, the rest of the group listened, laughed, and engaged with the full story. For them, the commentary made sense because they heard it in its entirety, rather than isolated fragments.
I respect that not everyone wants to hear political references, but please understand that they were part of a broader explanation – not personal attacks. Most of our guests appreciate a guide who connects local realities with global perspectives.

Our friends were cancelled at the time we were suppose to leave. We found out 2 other people were also cancelled at the last minute. Apparently , the other driver was sick. The person in charge was very rude over the phone when the other driver called him. We booked this excursion the same time as they did - over 6 months ago only to find out that by lottery, our friends were cancelled. This made our excursion without our friends very unenjoyable. I did contact viator chat and they said they will check into this -which by the conversation , I highly doubt. Poor customer service. If you don’t want to run the chance of being cancelled at the last moment, I would not recommend this excursion or Viator.

I’d like to explain what happened in this case. One of our guides tested positive for Covid shortly before departure. In line with health guidelines, and out of respect for all our guests – especially those arriving on cruise ships where illness can spread very quickly – we never allow a guide with any symptoms to interact with travelers. This is a strict policy we follow to protect everyone’s safety.
Unfortunately, this meant that a few bookings had to be cancelled at the last minute. We understand how disappointing and frustrating this must have been, particularly since you had planned to share the experience with your friends. But guest safety always comes first, even when that care feels uncomfortable in the moment.
I regret if our communication by phone came across as rude – that was never the intention. We were dealing with an urgent situation and should have expressed ourselves with more empathy.
We are proud to have earned overwhelmingly positive reviews from our guests, and the very few negative ones almost always arise from situations where we’ve had to prioritize health and safety. I truly hope you can understand the reasoning, even if the outcome was not what you hoped for.

Our guide showed us the most beautiful fjords, waterfalls and villages. He gave us time to walk around some villages and soak up their charm. It was a perfect combination of sightseeing, information and time to walk about!

We were on a cruise and looking for an excursion that was out of the ordinary, and small group. We were rewarded with a tour that was just the two of us, and we had an awesome experience with little other tourists. The tour was exactly as described.

Very informative tour. Very friendly. we were the only couple on the tour so Tor our guide made sure we had reached the pick up point, we travelled in the car and he pointed out many points of interest. He made this tour very personal and as he is so knowledgeable answered our many questions

From start to finish, this tour was breathtaking, with countless majestic waterfalls and stunning fjord views, all perfectly visible through the large panoramic windows of the minibus.

My husband and I had the absolute best experience on the Bergen Golden Circle Fjord Tour! This was, without a doubt, the highlight of our trip to Bergen. The tour took us through breathtaking landscapes, with numerous stunning waterfalls and spectacular fjord views that we could fully enjoy through the large windows of the comfortable minibus.
With a small group of max 16 participants, the tour felt almost private, allowing for a more personal and engaging experience. The intimate setting made it easy to communicate with the guide, who was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, as well as with the other guests.
If you're visiting Bergen and want an unforgettable adventure through Norway’s natural beauty, this tour is an absolute must! Highly recommend!

I gave it 2 stars because there were 12 of our group originally booked the before our I reached to the bus that I need to add 2,more people and he said no problem and I was expecting I pay the same per person with the original price. But he charged $30 more he wanted cash only and he really took advantage of the situation. Also, our driver/guide took us to the place where he grew up and then all the waterfalls wasting all the Hours we Didn't have time to see the highlights of Bergen. Driver/Guide no experience in touring tourism. I Don't recommend this tour wasting money!!!!

Hello Marissa. I have to say I am genuinely surprised by your review as you have booked a tour to the Fjords, and not a city tour of Bergen. The itinerary online even shows a MAP and it is quite clear that this is a tour of the Fjords and not merely driving around in the city streets.
We often experience budget Asian travelers who book for 12 - but shows up with 16 or 18 expecting them to be considered "luggage". Like if booking a ticket on the counter of an airline is more costly - so is any other tours as the booking has to be handled manually.
We COULD have asked the stealth passengers that not have a valid voucher for to take a cab back to the city and it was merely good service to allow them to purchase a ticket.
Your reviews only purpose is to try smearing our reputation as a result of the stealth passengers being discovered. However - it might keep other budget travelers from trying the same approach.
PS!! Tor DID grew up along the route and the waterfalls on this tour is great ;-)

We got a wonderful feel for local life while seeing picturesque towns, beautiful waterfalls, and amazing landscapes. We were able to get out and walk around and got lots of great pictures! Awesome tour. If in Bergen, Golden Circle is a must. Nature at its best. It is beyond beautiful. And cannot miss the boat. It is just so serene that words cannot explain the beauty. Our guides, Bjorn and Tor were the best.

Hello, The host in the company was quite unhappy with that experience, as the advertised rib and bus that the company offers is pure fraud. do not recommend, my advice is to choose another tourist attraction than Norway Fjordtravel

Over the years, I have taken many tours in the places I've gone to and have seen and heard quite a few tour guides as a result. However, Bjorn, who led the tour around the Golden Circle, must be the most entertaining one I have had the pleasure of listening to. He was able to do anything from jokes to in-depth stories about the political issues of Norway, the climate debate, and the life of the modern Vikings of Norway.
There is no doubt that the tour and scenery is great, but the tourguide made this such a good tour that we kept our discussion about these topics even at late night. Top-notch hasslefree tour that is easy to recommend.

This was an amazing tour! We were met by our guide Bjorn and immediately felt welcomed to Bergen he explained that we were going to be in an area that is not usually frequented by tourists but was beautiful and very interesting. Once we were in the countryside it was a photographers dream, the landscape, waterfalls and fjords were just so beautiful. Being a local Bjorn had lots of history and stories to tell. The companies professionalism and quick response to my questions via email prior to the tour was outstanding. Thank you for going ahead with the tour for just the two of us it was greatly appreciated. A tour not to be missed !

Incredibly well organized and with just enough time on the well-planned photo stops. We had a thrill and the bus was very warm after each early spring photo stop. The views from the windows were great and the large windows gave all an opportunity to see out, even if not being in a window seat. Recommended

I booked two tours for my Bergen journey, and it came as a surprise that this rather affordable tour was way better than the famous NIN tour. We left of from the meeting point in the bus and instead of jumping from different modes of transportation, this tour took us comfortably around the roughly 5 hour tour. As a engineer, I was absolutely stunned by the narrow roads and the hand-driven tunnels that's truly worth a mention. The bus driver even stopped shortly inside and let us see the openings that were made before electric light was illuminating them. From our perspective this tour has it all and is giving you all you need in a way better timeframe than it's big brother that goes on for more than 11 hours. We returned to Bergen at 1 PM, just in time for a lunch. Highly recommended.

Due to my tour being in March, there were no other participants on my departure and I got a private tour instead of a cancellation. What a thrill! The guide and driver Haakon shared a large amount of info, but in a very entertaining way. And no areas of the areas rich history were left behind. Our conversation ran so smooth that I forgot to take all those typical pictures, and instead listened to how he menaged to keep the tour interesting by connecting all the dots together during the tour. Now I know this will not be like this for the entire summer - but given you have a fraction of the tour I had, you should book it right away. The scenes are incredible and the guides knowledge and way of conveying it made this a top notch tour.

You are right - we cant do this the rest of the summer, but we are aware that people plan around a booking and we did not want to cancel even this tour was far from profitable.
However profit is also putting a smile on peoples face, and it was great reading that Hakon took after me. He is my son and it makes a father proud.

I picked the early departure and for a solo traveler like me it was great to join a tour that did indeed highlight the fjords and amazing scenes in just some 5 hours. The pickup was easy to find on Google Maps and we got out to the Osterfjord in just some 25 minutes counting from the Fishmarket.
Great value for money and the driver and audio guide kept us up to date on all the well chosen stops along the route. I managed to capture a few shots of Marilyn and her friends whom also participated in one of the many waterfalls we saw / stopped at.
