It was a great trip and...

It was a great trip and tour. Edwin and Omar were great tour guides. Tikal was beautiful and very fun to climb and take on the views. The restaurant lunch was included and was delicious. Overall it was a 10/10.

Tikal Tour

The tour was well run. We were picked up at our hotel, driven to the border, directed through Guatemalan customs and seamlessly picked up on the other side and driven to Tikal. The bus made 2 stops for food and washroom breaks (about a 2.5 hour drive) which is the reason for the 4 star review. I would have preferred one stop and more time to Individually explore the main temple area (we had about 45 minutes, an extra 30 minutes would have been perfect). The ruins were incredible and there was lots of wildlife including spider and howler monkeys, coati and our guide even pointed out a tarantula near the path. We had a delicious meal in a lovely restaurant before we reversed the process home.

Excellent and unforgettable experience!

We had an absolutely excellent experience on the excursion to Tikal from San Ignacio. From the very beginning, everything was seamless—pickup from our hotel was prompt and effortless, which set the tone for the day. We were a large group traveling together—two families, 11 people total, including six children (youngest ages 5 and 9) and our 83-year-old grandmother—and the tour could not have been better suited to our needs. Transportation was excellent: the bus was clean, modern, and very comfortable. Our tour guide truly made the experience exceptional. He was friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and very considerate of our group’s pace, making sure everyone—from the kids to our grandmother—was comfortable and able to fully enjoy the tour. We visited all the major and important sites in Tikal, climbed the structures, and did so at an easy, relaxed pace. Before lunch, we had about 1.5 hours of free time to explore the main square on our own, which was a wonderful bonus. Lunch was at an excellent restaurant on the premises, and the grilled beef was truly outstanding. The return trip was just as smooth, including an easy and well-organized border crossing. Overall, this tour exceeded our expectations in every way. We would highly recommend this excursion with the highest possible marks—it was a memorable and enjoyable experience for our entire group.

Reckless tour driver with Go Tikal. Maybe don’t go with this tour operator.

Our tour driver in Guatemala was reckless and nearly crashed into the car in front of us. The guide was knowledgeable, but unfortunately his accent made it hard to understand about half of what he said. He have a ton of information, facts & figures, that was hard to absorb. Disappointing.

Thank you for sharing your concerns about your recent tour experience. We take all feedback seriously and aim to address any issues our guests might face. Regarding the driving incident, we prioritize safety above all and are reviewing the situation to ensure our standards are consistently met. It’s important to note that the driving style may sometimes feel different due to local traffic conditions, but we understand the importance of feeling secure and comfortable during your travels. As for our guide's accent, he is a native English speaker from Belize, which might explain the unique Caribbean accent you mentioned. We appreciate your feedback and are always looking to enhance how our guides communicate to ensure clarity for all our guests. We value the positive feedback received from other guests on the same tour, which suggests that experiences can vary widely. However, we are here to address your specific concerns and improve wherever possible. Best regards,

Highly recommend

I recently visited Tikal, and it was an amazing experience. Our guide was knowledgeable and engaging, making the history come alive. The site itself is stunning and well worth the visit. Our driver was excellent, and the van was comfortable and clean. We also enjoyed a delicious meal. Highly recommend this tour!
