Itinerary

Your private tour kicks off at 5:00pm when you meet your guide at your hotel. Jump in a taxi (own expense), and head to the north entrance of the National Center for the Performing Arts, arriving at 5:50pm, on route your guide will provide a cultural overview of Beijing. Wander beneath the Gate of Heavenly Peace (Tiananmen Tower) and feast your eyes on Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen Guangchang), both at their most magical when illuminated.

Amble along Qianmen Street, a famous pedestrian street that dates back almost six centuries, and immerse yourself in the neon-lit nightlife of the Dashilan commercial district.

Then, head inside the famous Lao She Teahouse — named in honor of a leading Chinese playwright — and admire decoration designed to imitate 1930s China. Watch a traditional Beijing performance, which could be acrobatics or opera depending on the programme, sip Chinese tea, and sample traditional desserts.

Your tour concludes at 9:20pm, when your guide provides detailed instructions on how to reach your preferred destination.
