Incredible Way to Explore Beijing

I had an amazing experience exploring Beijing on a motorcycle with my guide! Riding through the city streets gave me a completely different perspective — I could really feel the pulse of Beijing, from the narrow hutongs to the grand avenues. My guide was professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable about local history and culture. He led me safely through busy traffic, stopped at hidden spots that tourists usually miss, and even shared some great local food. The whole experience felt adventurous yet perfectly organized. If you want to see the real Beijing — its energy, history, and local life — there’s no better way than doing it on two wheels. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants something authentic and unforgettable!

John was a fantastic guide! We loved the unique experience of the motorcycle with sidecar. Could get to and around places we never would have seen on our own. Especially the warrens of hutongs/alleys. The helmets with built-in microphones were genius. This is a great way to supplement a traditional sightseeing. John had great stories and information. We appreciated the stops for tea (with a view!) and snacks (with views of old and new!)

My husband I booked the tour for our first day in Beijing. Johnny met us at the hotel which was extremely convenient. He arrived on time and we boarded his sidecar and motorbike wearing a Bluetooth helmet so could hear the commentary. We were taken to many interesting places and bring small vehicle had the advantage of getting to places large tour bus could not. We visited the haotongs; bell and drum tower, temple of white pagoda; and site of the Ming city wall. We stopped frequently to walk around and photo opportunities, refreshments and delicious roadside lunch in the Muslim quarter supplied by Johnny. He provided a video of our experience. Johnny was engaging and provided an informative commentary. Felt we saw lots. All in all it was a wonderful and unique experience and a great introduction to Beijing.

Unique private sidecar tour of Beijing

Highly recommend this unique and customized, private tour of Beijing with John who grew up in the city and knows a lot of places off the beaten track, but also can take you to the popular attractions if you wish. He pointed out landmarks en route and explained the historical significance. He brought plenty of beverages and we stopped for local snacks along the way!

Amazing tour, great information

We had a wonderful time with John - he was really thoughtful and helped put together our itinerary based on a combination of sights we wanted to see and suggestions from John. It was also like having our own personal photographer with us as we got lots of great pictures sent our way after. The tour ended with snacks and hot drinks which we also appreciated. Highly recommend for couples, friends, visitors to people who live in Beijing, and anyone who wants to see as much as possible in one day.
