Went to Tian'anmen square, the Forbidden City then the Great Wall... My guide Lily was amazing. She shared a lot of interesting information at each stop and along the way. She was attentive and available, took photos whenever wanted (helpful when traveling solo!). The food and tea were good too, I think I'm bringing too much tea home! My driver Mr. Lee was wonderful, especially having to navigate major traffic on our return journey. I'd definitely recommend this tour! Overall a great excursion with a wonderful guide/company!

Great Wall is amazing, but limited English and tour guidance

The Great Wall is fantastic, such an iconic place to visit. Unfortunately we didn't go to the Forbidden City as we were told it closes at 4pm and we wouldn't have enough time to make it there (the tour started at the Great Wall). I am very curious and I'd love to know more about China's history and the history and stories from the places we visited, however our guide's English was difficult to understand and not many history and stories shared. We used online guides to get the most out of it, and would get closer to other groups to hear their guides sharing fascinating stories. It was more a tour leader than a tour guide on our case.

Dear Rafa, Thank you for sharing your experience here and I am really sorry that you didn't enjoy the tour. May 4th is the May Day holiday, the traffic is very bad. So we suggested to start at 6:30am, but you wanted to have breakfast and decided to start at 7:00am. Unfortunately you were late about 20 minutes. The traffic was a big different during the holiday. Then after the wall, guide suggested to go back to downtown and have lunch, but you said you were hungry. So you did lunch nearby the Wall and left there around 13:30. During the holiday, it took about 2.5 hours or 3 hours back to downtown.That's why you missed the Forbidden City. But your guide took you to Summer Palace instead of Forbidden City. About the tour guide's English Level, I You booked 2 days before of the travel date, the Forbidden City tickets were sold out already. If you went to the Forbidden City in the morning, it would take maybe 2 hours to queue. According to our experience, the queue is much shorter in the afternoon. We didn't want you to queue that long. So that's why we started the tour from the Great Wall. About the tour guide's English level, we apologize for that. I suggest guests can book the tour as early as possible during the Chinese holiday, so we can guarantee the tour quality and your experience. We will train our guides frequently and improve their language, service, etc. Thank you so much. Best regards, Violet
