Francisco was very knowledgeable about the Sagrada Familia and Gaudi as well as the other works that we visited. There were two candy tasting stops and I purchased at both. I would say this tour is more about Sagrada Familia, Gaudi, and other architects than about chocolate and those stops are just added in as they are close to the locations for discussion.

His passion, deep knowledge of the history and architecture, and love for Spanish culture made everything come alive. Francisco was punctual, organized, and incredibly friendly. For three hours, we felt transported into Gaudí’s world — learning about religious symbolism, Modernist design, and the stories behind the city’s most fascinating buildings. Only outside of Sagrada Família

From an English speaking tourist I mistakenly booked this tour hoping to get inside the Sagrada Família. All the information about the tour is provided in Spanish and though it does say at the very bottom of the description I still believe it’s very misleading regarding the specifics of the tour, especially for a tourist (who this is obviously marketed for). Though this tour itself may be fine, if it’s what you’re looking for, my experience from a customer service standpoint was very poor. There is a cancellation window up to 24hrs before the tour yet we were contacted in English by the guide saying it’s only an outside tour of the Basílica less than 24hrs before so could not cancel to rebook something else. The tour is the exact same price as if you book from the official Sagrada website which is seems calculated. At viator supports advice I contacted the tour operator but never got a response. While I accept I am at fault for not reading the fine print I also HIGHLY doubt I am the only person this has happened to. Just beware.

Highly informative stroll through the city

Our guide was Anastasiia who is an amazing, very knowledgeable and truly welcoming guide We did the walking tour on our first day, literally straight from the plane. She took us to key landmarks, sharing info about them, what not to miss when we visit. We were on foot but the pace was rather a leisurely stroll through the city with plenty of breaks as she would stop and provide info. or ask/answer questions. The tour was very much engaging/interactive and our teenagers enjoyed it a lot. We had some traditional Turrón tasting and ended up eating the substantial chocolate-filled cups at the house of Amatller. Anastasiia was full of information on key places to visit, how to book, what to enjoy, when, where, if places are family friendly, which underground ticket to buy... and simply provided us with key and most invaluable tourist tips which we needed. She helped us book entry to Sagrada familia as we would have missed it due to general demand and even recommended places to eat. Would highly recommend the experience!

Communication Issue

Really bad communication between the tour guide and my wife and I with the meeting point. We showed the taxi driver the address you gave us and he took us directly to the familia Sagrada rather than the meeting point. Yes, his fault (and charged us twice the fare that it took to return home), still his problem, but once we were dropped off, we could not get a hold of the tour Operator to tell her our problem until she called us 5 minutes after the tour was supposed to start! We were so frustrated (and lost) we just gave up and took a taxi back to the hotel.

Dear customer We would like to clarify a few important points: • The meeting point address and map are clearly provided in the voucher and confirmation email. • As you mentioned in your own review, the taxi driver unfortunately left you at the Sagrada Família instead of the meeting point, which is a different location and outside of our control. • We have full proof (screenshots) showing that our guide was actively trying to reach you before and at the official start time, waiting and assisting other guests who did join correctly. • When the guide finally managed to contact you, you informed us that you preferred not to continue to the meeting point and decided to return to your hotel. We do understand your frustration with the taxi situation, but the tour was operated normally and the rest of the group enjoyed the experience without issue. We always do our best to help when unexpected situations occur, but in this case we were not given the chance to assist you on-site. We hope that you will consider joining us again in the future so you can enjoy the full experience.

Our tour guide, Francisco, was amazing! He contacted us the day before with all of the details and gave us his cell number in case we had to reach him. Extremely knowledgeable about the culture and history of Barcelona. Only thing, this tour did not include tickets to the sites, which was not highlighted on Viator and several people in the group were not aware. Not the tour guide’s fault! Must read the fine print with Viator.
