Driver was excellent. Met us with signage, carted our luggage short distance to his car, spoke English, navigated heavily constructed zones and carried our luggage to the hotel staff. Car was large, comfortable Mercedes van. Perfect.

Our driver was excellent. The car easily accommodated our party of 4 (two of us a pretty big guys) plus all the luggage we brought for a 9 night cruise. Our driver also very thoughtfully provided us with bottled water to enjoy during our ride.

Professional and punctual taxi driver
It was a regular cab service we could have availed upon arrival rather book through viator.
It was not the superior Airport transport one gets for the price paid

Be VERY careful when booking with this provider. We booked an airport transfer weeks in advance for four adults. Before we left home, we received instructions to call them at a phone number that they provided via Whatsapp once we had collected out luggage. An odd request for arranged transportation, but we didn't think much of it at the time.
While we waited at baggage claim, one individual in our group went to the designated meeting point to find our driver. There were many professional drivers holding signs with their party's name, but none with ours...again, odd for arranged transportation.
Once we had our luggage, we called the number as instructed. We were told our driver would come in to get us. We waited at the meeting point for about 10 minutes and a driver in street clothes came in to collect us. He then led us outside to his black and yellow (this becomes relevant later), Barcelona city cab and not one the luxurious vans pictured in the listing. I could have secured a cab for our party for a fraction of what we paid and with a lot less waiting and hassle. A cab ride to our hotel was not what we had contracted and we felt that this was a "Bait and Switch" situation immediately.
Once settled in our hotel, I contacted Viator to make them aware of what had transpired and to request at least a partial refund. Viator contacted the provider and no great surprise, they rejected the refund request. They told Viator that because we had "Excess Baggage", they sent a "Multi-Colored Van" to accommodate us. This was a lie, as we each had one checked bag and a personal item that could be held on our laps. Not even sure how they could have evaluated our luggage as there was no one there to meet us in the first place. And the "Multi-Colored Van" that they described to Viator was the Barcelona city cab. Shady and dishonest at best.
They do have verbiage buried in the "Fine Print" that they will assist with a cab if all baggage won't fit in their vehicle at the traveler's expense and that a "sedan" may be sent for the pick-up. However, with the prior knowledge that the airport pick-up was for four adults, coupled with the fact that there is NOT ONE photo of a sedan in their listing we made the fair and reasonable assumption that a vehicle sufficient to accommodate us would be provided.
It is our belief that this company never intended to send a vehicle, but took advantage of the four adults with luggage booking to just send a cab for us and retain the difference in price. The absence of any driver or private vehicle waiting for us and the odd request to call them once we collected our luggage would support this theory.
Viator did make this situation right for us, but please be FULLY aware of this company's practices. I would suggest getting, in writing, exactly what you will be provided with to avoid the disappointing and unexpected situation that we found ourselves in.
Just for the record...read the one and two star reviews for this company (as we should have done, but we've always had great experiences with Viator). We are NOT the only ones where this IDENTICAL situation has occurred with this provider! Just be careful.

In Barcelona, authorized transfer operations may sometimes use officially licensed vehicles, including executive taxis, depending on availability and airport regulations.
We sincerely apologize if the vehicle type differed from what you expected based on the listing photos. However, we would never intentionally provide an inferior service or mislead our guests. The instruction to contact us upon collecting luggage is part of our standard procedure to ensure smooth coordination, especially in busy airport arrival areas where delays, customs, and baggage collection times vary significantly.
We also regret that the meeting process caused frustration and that the experience gave you the impression of a “bait and switch,” as this was never our intention. We always aim to provide reliable transportation and clear communication for all travelers.

We booked our transportation from the Barcelona airport to our hotel weeks in advance. Unfortunately, two hours into our flight we had mechanical issues and were forced to turn the plan around. After many hours, the flight was cancelled. While many transportation companies would have penalized you for delays or last minute changes, this company was very helpful and accommodating during a stressful situation and quickly moved our reservation to the next day. Even though the company was great, the driver made us very nervous because he was looking at his phone much of the time during the ride to the hotel. But despite the driver being distracted, we highly recommend this company for any transportation needs.

No driver was waiting outside baggage claim. After waiting for 15 more minutes I called. Driver was supposed to be there somewhere and she would have him call. Couldn’t tell me when. In another 10-12 minutes a driver showed with my name card. Walked out to find he was a taxi driver and was in line with other taxis He had gotten my name and destination from company and at this time a “driver” called to ask where I was (!!!??) Apparently company called for someone else to get me to my destination. By the time we were on our way out of airport it was right at 1 hour past pickup time. My flight was 10 minutes late so I give them that. But the lady on phone said driver had “gone to coffee shop) That’s fine but should it have taken 30 minutes AFTER I called her for him to contact me? The only saving piece of this was the taxi driver was very polite and got me to hotel as quickly as possible. This is second time a Viator arranged private pickup has been an hour late. The same happened in London a few months ago That was the last chance I give Viator for transport from airport
