The Perfect Blend of History, Culture, and Delicious Island Eats We booked this food and history tour with friends to learn about Barbados' culture and sample some of their popular dishes. Our tour guide, Tammy, was fantastic! She was fun, incredibly knowledgeable, and perfectly matched the pace of our group. The guided walking tour took us through historic Bridgetown, where we tried over 6 island favorites. We stopped at a bakery to try beef pie, currant rolls, and sweet bread, and at another location, we sampled classic saltfish fritters and a nice rice dish with BBQ chicken. After stopping at a few other places, we ended the tour at an ice cream shop, which was perfect in the hot sun. along the way, Tammy shared fascinating stories about Barbadian history and gave us excellent insider recommendations on where to eat and what to order for the rest of our trip. I definitely recommend this tour if you are into food and history!

Our tour guide was delightful. She told the story of Mount Gay, rum and the island in an entertaining and engaging way. She instructed us in how to taste the rums in a way that brought the beverages to life. In only a short time my palate was refined.

This experience was a delight! Derrick, the owner, was a great guide to the process of chocolate making, providing plenty of samples along the way. Fun and informative - we had a blast, and feel confident enough to try making some chocolate at home, too!
