Gabriel, our tour guide and Carl, our driver were fantastic! The knowledge of the Cave and the sights were spectacular. The history of the cave and the formations were interesting. Gabriel was humourous and very engaging with guests. We had plenty of time for photos and were not rushed through the sights. Awesome tour.
Rum tasting: Our guide was super knowledgeable regarding the different rums and how to taste. We learned correct ways to sample rums and the differences. Mount Gay has been the best tasting Caribbean rum we have had to date. Of all the Caribbean Islands we visited, Barbados is the last...saved the best ultil last!
Our lunch at the Cave was awesome. Chicken Wrap & Salad. We truly had not expected much, but we so surprised with our meal. The jerk chicken was so yummy and the salad had a citrusy dressing that was phenomenal. GREAT DAY!!!

The excursion was booked months ago. The details said starts at 11 a.m. We had to cancel and rebook the same day due to the flights to Caribbean were shut down. However, excited to rebook with exact excursion meeting at 11 a.m. The day before the excursion, the company stated to meet at 9 a.m. It would be impossible because the Grand Princess would dock the earliest at 8 am. and then a disembark plus taxi ride. We would not make it on time. The tour company said take a taxi to Harrison Caves which would be 1 1/2 hours at our expense. We requested full refund since they are the ones who changed their meet time 2 hours early. We have not heard one more word from them! This is totally prepaid $320. Time to contact credit card company :(

Thank you for sharing your concerns about the excursion. We apologize for any frustration caused by the change in meeting time. However, we would like to clarify that the tour time booked is the arrival time, not the pickup time. This is clearly communicated both on the tour information and on the confirmation voucher.
Additionally, it is stated that we do not pick up from the cruise terminal to avoid any transportation challenges due to the varied times that guests disembark from the cruise ship. As the pickup location provided was a hotel, we did not provide specific instructions for cruise passengers, which would have included information on how to find their way to the location.
Regarding the refund, we have already processed it promptly through Viator. You should expect to see the refund in your account within a few business days. If you experience any delays, please contact Viator directly, as they can provide more insight into the status of the refund. It's not uncommon for refunds to take some time to process, especially since the tour was on Friday and banks are closed on weekends.

This excursion included transportation to Harrisons Cave, which is a nice tourism site with several activities. While there was a little hiccup with our pick up, staff were very accommodating and kind.
Our particular tour included a rum tasting with one free rum punch, followed by 1 hour overview of the history of Mount Gay rum. I'm not a huge fan of drinking straight rum but the overview was interesting and funny.
Once the rum tasting was done, we walked down to the nature preserve. There is also a tram that runs pretty frequently but it's a pretty short walk, though it's on an incline.
They have created a nice little tourist area the entrance to the caves. This includes areas for shopping, a bar that serves light fare and a small pool. There is a play area for kids.
The nature walk showcased a selection of native flora and a bird aviary, where tourists can take pictures with birds on their arms.
The tram tour of Harrison Cave was very interesting and beautiful. The tour guides did a great job of explaining these natural wonders.
Our tour also included lunch which was surprisingly delicious.
One note: We were staying at Sandals, which was a little ways away from Harrison so it was almost an hour to get there. Plan accordingly.

A lot of time is allocated for this tour. May spend a lot of time just sitting around. It was too hot for us to enjoy the trail and we had a long wait for the rum tasting.

The transfer was efficient but the experience once you reach Harrison’s cave was completely disorganized and took away from the entire experience.
What is the point of pre poking anything when there are 30 min waits for prebooked tickets and 40+ min waits to meet tour guides (they were late). The tour also started late because there was confusion as to who was supposed to be on the tram. There were 10, 11, and 11:40 groups standing waiting to know where we were going.
We had no one take us to different parts of the experience (tram, lunch, rum tasting). I had to ask where I was supposed to find lunch. I finally am told where to go only to find out that the preordered lunch is not ready… we waited like 45 min… it was like they didn’t know what we ordered ahead of time to have it ready for us. They promised a cookie and the cookie is in another location but they would bring it to my rum tasting which I was already 20 minutes late for waiting on my preordered lunch— they never brought the cookie.. I went back to the kitchen for my cookie and was missing out on my complimentary rum punch. Then when I go to collect the rum punch the bartender leaves the bar for at least 10+ minutes and I have to ask another employee about it. He then just went behind the bar and poured the drink.
Beautiful caves, transportation, and nice rum tasting but everything else made this a bad experience. I wouldn’t recommend paying so much for confusion. I am a scientist who is very appreciative of these natural wonders but never again. I also heard at least two other people have similar experiences.

What should've been a group guided tour, turned out to be a self guided tour and the shuttle driver didn't even tell us when to meet to get back to the resort. The cave was ok, nothing special and everything is on site. Alot of money for a semi chaotic excursion. Not too pleased.

A great experience with easy transportation, organized events, great food at lunch, and the perfect ending with the tasting after. Just a smooth, well ran day and well worth the money!! Everyone was incredibly knowledgeable. Our cave tour and rum tasting guide Kyle was phenomenal. Funny, helpful, organized, and had ALL the answers!! You could tell he really enjoys what he’s doing!!

This tour was AMAZING!!!!!! Its a must do! The tour guides were really really friendly and very knowledgeable. The cave is also bery beautiful and the energy is so lively and definitely a tour to remember!

To start, the bus showed up an hour early and the bus driver was a complete jerk. He told me he would leave us because my husband was getting coffee. I literally had to give him the same energy back to get him to chill out. The cave experience is interesting enough. There is a little movie before explaining prehistoric geological events. However, for the amount of money this cost, I feel there should be more. My husband and I paid $270.00 dollars for an hour and a half tram ride through caves that may or may not be real. Then a rubbery no flavor, fish sandwich for lunch with fries and a burned chocolate chip cookie. We had to sit for 45 min and wait for this “included” food outside in the heat. They wouldn’t even provide bottled or tap water, while you waited for lunch. Half the time we had no idea where to go between activities, we had to ask. The rum tasting was also sad. You got not even a fingers worth of 3 different rums they sell, even though they have 3 other runs that you have to buy if you want to “taste” them. Save your money and find something that’s not a gift shop tourist trap. They only want you to shop in there stores and pay for overpriced trinkets. Then on the way back the bus driver, you know the one with the mouth from earlier, stopped in the middle of the road and had a conversation with his bud, then drove like a maniac to the point of hitting a curb so hard he punctured a tire. Yes we had a flat tire because this clown drove like a crazy person. I’m not sure why anyone would pay to be treated this way but never again.

Our activities here at Harrison's Cave Eco-Adventure Park, including our Bar & Grill are situated in the open air with the exception of the Cave Tour which takes you on the tram into the Cave and our Rum Tasting of three different flights of local rum which is situated inside of an air conditioned room as we seek to maintain our natural eco-system in which we are situated.
Our shared shuttle transportation service provides a wait time in between of 5 minutes as we seek to accommodate those who have requested transportation for their tour with us hence why collection times will be set in some instances at least an hour and a half prior to the tour start time to ensure that all guests, based on the demand and the requests, are accommodated. There are also situations where if a guest is not ready and there is another collection close by as in your situation, the transportation collects the other guests and circles to give you a little more time if the washroom needs to be used or a guest is grabbing something from their room.
We followed up and investigated the flat tyre and the curb and the large coach and the narrow road along with the driver navigating between a parked car and a utility pole resulted in the back tyre edging the curb and therefore becoming flat from the puncture.
We appreciate the information provided and will continue to improve in all areas; thank you for your visit, do enjoy the remainder of your holiday!

The cave was interesting and the guide was great but the nature trail was closed for some unknown reason which was disappointing. Definitely thought the rum tasting was at a rum distillery but everything was located at the same park. The ride there and back was like over 3 hours as our pick up was first in the morning and our drop off was last!! My partner was sick all night and couldn’t come on the tour but no refund or credit was given

Our Trail Tram and Rum Tasting is conducted all on site here at the Harrison's Cave Eco-Adventure Park as we have a partnership with our local rum, Mount Gay. A 9:00 a.m. pickup was provided as the shared shuttle transport time is one and a half to 2 hours prior to the tour time in an effort to ensure that we adequately facilitate the requests provided by guests for such based on the demand.
For guests who are collected first, then their drop off would normally be the last based on the mapped routes of the journey drop offs. Refunds for your tour for persons who are unwell would not come from us as tour operator through your booking platform.
We inadvertently had to close the nature trail for a period during the day as we are in a natural eco-system there are times where there will be occurrences that are beyond our control. However to ensure guest safety there will be situation which will result in such to remedy situations so that guests can safely enjoy the activities.
We do thank you nevertheless for booking and for visiting us. We do hope that we will be able to welcome you again to the island!

This tour includes a tour of the cave, the animal sanctuary, and a rum tour. Lunch is included. My entire day was fun and well organized. The tour of the caves itself is worth the price of admission. It's breathtaking what lies underneath!
The hotel pickup arrived as scheduled and was easy to book. I recommend this trip!

Hotel shuttle pick up ideal. Drive there is picturesque but could be long if your hotel is on east or south side. Cave experience is really cool. Rum tasting...learned alot and friendly host. Downfall was just not knowing where to go and what times things started for each part of tour.

This was a great experience! I visited the caves over 20 years’ ago, and it was good to see how the experience has been made more appealing with the addition of new features, such as the rum tasting and zip-lining. Our guide in the cave, Che, was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic as was Kyle, who did the rum tasting session. This is a ‘must-do’ tour!

I enjoyed myself, however, there were problems with organization.
1. There was a mob of people on line checking in, filling out waivers, and they were not appropriately staffed to give directions.
2. There was no tour guide to give directions on the nature trail, which I did not see. After the cave tour, they told us where to eat, but that was it. Who was leading the trail, and where was it?
3. After eating, I was not informed about the rum tour. No announcement was made and I was sitting in the restaurant. It just so happened that I saw a big group behind me leaving.
At any rate, the cave was great, the tasting was ok-they did not have you taste the good stuff-it was only for purchase…
I enjoyed this, but they need to get organized so that the guest experience is seamless and without confusion.

This is such a nice tour and way to spend the day. A day or tour beforehand, I received an email with the exact pick-up time for my location. That made it easy. From Richard picking me up to Kyle handling the tram tour and the warm welcome at the entrance desk and good food at the monkey bar. Everyone here was so kind and it was a nice relaxing day. The pics and videos I found online of the tram tour didn’t do it justice. It is pretty interesting and beautiful. You also get to step off the tram tour twice, for pictures. For one stop, you can touch a waterfall. I was surprised how tall the ceilings were and how well lit it was. The property is lush and beautiful too and you can go for a trail tour, bird aviary, and a great looking relay course and different levels of zipline (for an additional fee) before lunch and rum tasting. I highly recommend this for anyone visiting Barbados. I am also a single girl traveling alone and felt completely comfortable.

I would give this company zero stars, but I don't have that option. I have a ticket that says they are departing at 11:00 a.m. and we had to take a taxi that cost us $20. When we got off the boat they changed the tour for 9:00 am. Just in case they were incorrect we still took the taxi ride and the man at the Hilton told us they left at 9:00 without me. He knew my name. When I messaged the company to tell them they owe me a refund because my ticket says 11:00 a.m. and the email they originally sent me says 11:00 a.m. I have not heard anything from them. Fortunately for me I paid with my credit card so I will provide the proof to my credit card company and they will refund me but it will be a merchant chargeback against their account which does not look good on them. Hopefully in the next 2 days when we arrive home we will have our refund.

There are no departure times of 11:00 a.m. our tour start time for the Nature Trail, Tram & Rum Tasting at Harrison's Cave by Chukka is 11:00 a.m. therefore the pickup time was provided as 9:00 a.m. There is a difference between the two times. Times shown on Viator are the tour start times and not the pickup times. As there is no pickup from the Cruise Terminal, which is clearly stated in all of the tour documentation, the pickup point set was therefore provided as the Hilton hotel and our driver was there for the time of 9:00 a.m. however on that day the Norwegian Sky, which was your vessel, docked in port for the same time of 9:00 a.m. As we can both appreciate, it was not the most ideal situation due to the fact that there are possibilities such as late ship docking or traffic which can delay or hamper your ability to get to meet our transportation. The refund has been accepted and again we do apologise that there was this inconvenience that occurred.
